  1. Im assuming they have to let Suh walk. Maybe Ethan Westbrooks. But besides Saffold I think their main priority would be LaMarcus Joyner. They have about 30 something million in cap space next year. They could cut/trade Barron, Talib, Brockers, Peters, and Robey-Coleman take on like 5 million in dead money and gain over 40 million in cap space. Not saying they should or would, but I could see them moving 1 or two of those guys to keep Saffold and Joyner if they needed to. I would be all over Brockers if I was the Bills.
  2. I actually like the upside of Taylor way more than the upside of Jonah Williams. Call me crazy. But I do think Taylor is really the prototype right tackle. I think there is going to be too much defensive talent on the board at 9 to draft Williams or Taylor. I think Paradis goes to a team like the Jets, though it really depends on who they hire. But he probably stays in Denver. I think Mitch Morse is the better fit, but Paradis would be cool. Foster is a good player but 32. I feel strongly that they are going to target guys in that 26-27 range coming off their rookie contract. Quinton Spain, Mark Glowinski, Daryl Williams, guys like that, so that you can put together a line that can gel and have sustained success for multiple seasons.
  3. Saffold wants to stay in LA and said he would give a home count discount to do so. He was considered a bust and kept working and has finally found his grove. He isn't leaving there unless they don't want him back imo. The problem with the Khalil idea is he stabilizes the line for what? One season? If he can even stay healthy. I think we need a long term starter there.
  4. I think teams have gotten away from fake field goals. Your wing backs and tight ends are usually massive, slow lineman. Pretty sure Harrison Phillips was one on our field goal unit. Most teams would rather just leave their offense, with all their multi million $ skill players on there to go for it on forurth down and such.
  5. I think Cory Carter will give him a run for his money next year. I think it will be a competition.
  6. I really just think it is because they have nothing else to do. Since the kicker, long snapper, and punter don't have to participate in all of the football drills in practice they can go off, be their own entity, and master the timing of the snap hold kick process. Having a quarterback do it, when he has a million other things to worry about, is probably part of the thought process for coaches when they started doing this. Back in the day more quarterbacks did this, but it wasn't such a specialized skill. Now it has to have very specific timing etc. It needs to be perfect every time. Quarterbacks don't have time for that.
  7. Babich is a legend. If he believes in Tremaine, I don't question it. He was ecstatic when we landed Tremaine. I think he knows more than a few message baord guys reading PFF. He's developed some great players...not just Urlacher. Great coach.
  8. He definitely regressed. I don't think he is long for this roster. I hope he did not get complacent. I for one am not super happy with the defensive line coaching. The drop off for Waufle to Teerlink is massive. I'd like to see some more experience brought in there.
  9. it's weird that they didn't give this award to LVE...strange ? Anyway, I'm super excited about Tremaine. Sky is the limit for this guy and if they start letting him rush teh passer from time to time, he will show off his skill there as he did against Miami.
  10. I like Reid because I know nothing about him. Which is perfect for a long snapper. If you never hear his name, it means he is doing his job.
  11. That's some really open and honest stuff. Wow, he even kind of calls out Riley Reiff. I thought his comments on Dion Dawkins are actually on point though. I actually think Dawkins has been pretty solid. Watch other teams' left tackles...Dawkins is not a guard.
  12. So according to pro football reference, Harrison played 38% of the defensive snaps. That is not almost no reps dude. Star, a starter and big FA acquisition played just 47% of the snaps. Defensive lineman here are rotational players. Harrison had ample opportunity and did nothing. Pencilling him in as some kind of impact player is a massive mistake. Signing a depth player like Jordan Phillips is not the answer. If DT is BPA, it will 100% be the pick. 3 tech is a huge need on this team.
  13. Funchess is definitely not the answer. I'm with you on that.
  14. Harrison Phillips did next to nothing and Jordan is a nice rotational player. There is a glaring need at the 3 technique. There really isn't one on the roster. It's very likely we go DT in round one. The other option is to go after Sheldon Richardson or Grady Jarrett in free agency.
  15. I agree. Harry Phillips looked small and overmatched. There was no quick twitch. I think he's a backup but I hope he proves me wrong. Even if Phillips resigns this is still a huge need.
  16. Lock has some rawness to his game but he has a big arm. He's at least interesting. Trappaso's love of Mason Rudolph last year just made no sense to me. I just can't fathom how he had him as a better prospect than Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, Rosen, and Jackson. I mean that's just crazy.
  17. I got you. I'm just saying the guy has no idea what he's doing. His takes have been ridiculously off, especially last season.
  18. I gotta say Yolo...Trappaso is the worst...check out his mock draft from last year on January 3rd. It's not close. And remember, Mason Rudolph was his best QB in the draft. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2018-nfl-mock-draft-jets-land-sam-darnold-after-all-49ers-pick-saquon-barkley/
  19. Hapless I think that was just crap audible by our young quarterback. He put himself in that position in my opinion. I think he is clearly changing the play, but he didn't account for Baker. All the lineman are supposed to block the gap to their left, and DiMarco is supposed to come from the other side on the split zone, chip 90 Charles Harris and check down into the flat. That guy is usually wide open. Allen should have simply ran the split zone left, Shady would have cut it back and it would have been a massive gash becuase there is no linebacker support there for the cut back. I put this one on our young quarterback.
  20. Yep I don't think Palmer wants to leave his cushy situation. If Culley moves the recievers, the guy to get is Rob Chudzinski in my opinion. He'd be a good get to work with Josh Allen.
  21. This team is all about Josh Allen. He's the star. We don't need a guy like OBJ imo. It would be cool, but I don't think the front office wants that. They want guys who are going to run routes and they want Allen to work the ball to whoever is open. Adding a guy like Julio Jones etc actually hurts a young quarterback becuase he may feel he needs to force the ball there. Like with KB...once he was gone, Allen was much better and just read TE field rather than forcing things to the number one guy. It's an overrated concept in my opinion. Tyrell Williams many have mentioned, I don't love him but I'd be for it. Adam Humphries is a great fit. I LOVE Chris Conley, as I've mentioned a million times. He bring elite speed Andy explosiveness. He is big and is ready to break out. He got started with David Culley and he's an Andy Reid guy so their is a familiarity there. You bring in Golden Tate, Julio Jones, AJ Green, OBJ, whomever, all it does is put pressure on Josh Allen to force them the ball. Again, Allen is the star. He needs complimentary pieces. The EP system is all about complimentary routes. You need humble guys who are going to do their job. Sign Williams, or Conley, or Humphries...draft some guys at some point and continue to compliment your star quarterback.
  22. Adam Gase, Todd Haley, Mike Shula, Mike Mularkey are E-P guys. Not saying they would come here to coach receivers, but anybody who has worked under them would be well versed in the system. Robiskie made sense last year because he was coming from Mularkey's system. Jeremy Bates and Mike McCoy have some EP experience as well. Jason Michael of the Cardinals could make some sense. Eric Studesville would be a great get as a run game coordinator type guy as well.
  23. Nah man. Aaron Maybin was an underweight 1 year wonder. Josh Allen is a senior, SEC defensive player of the year playing at 6-5, 260.
  24. I guess the way I look at it we wouldn't have Josh Allen becuase we used those two seconds to move up. Or I guess you could argue we wouldn't have Tremaine becuase we would have had to use that other first rounder. I'm not sure I would have given up a second for Paradis in a step back year. I certainly think we should spend the money on him now though. I agree that that upgrading the offensive line was not a priority last year. I think it is #1 this year.
