  1. That's great question. I assume there is a ton of back channel stuff that goes on through agents and former teammates and things like that. I do think the Shaq fit makes a lot of sense becuase he came into the league as an athlete without a position and McDermott has to get a good amount of credit for turning him into a legit OLB in the NFL. Imo, for a guy like that, fit is super important.
  2. I don't think he drops, but what is obvious to me is that we are going to have our pick of some pretty damn good defensive talent.
  3. ok its Monday f5f5f5f5f5f5f5f5f5f5f5f5f5f5f5f5f5f5
  4. I think there are a bunch of young, fast, smaller linebackers that will be available in the later rounds of the draft, where you can easily add some depth. As for replacing Lorax at SAM, i think the McBeane will go after Shaq Thompson who is playing on a 5th year option and is set to be an UFA next offseason.
  5. i think we should all donate $10 to her charity of choice because she is a 10.
  6. Boy Montez Sweat looks a little like young Julius Peppers. A bit lighter but faster. Growing on me a bit.
  7. I think San Fran and Tampa would be interested in Zay as a slot guy and I think he could be used as a part of a package in a trade up scenario.
  8. I like the idea of the trade down and trade back up scenario as well. But I just think Bosa is an elite talent, and Williams as well, but I'd strongly prefer Bosa because he's an edge player. Honestly, if I can do it without giving up 2020's number 1 I would do it in a heartbeat, but that doesn't seem possible. I was also thinking about the possibility of moving up to 5-6, maybe getting a discount from Mr. Gettleman and getting up to two from there, but I digress. It's going to come down to how motivated a team like SF or Tampa or whomever are to move down. If they are super motivated to move down, then perhaps they take less.
  9. I love Bosa, Williams, Allen, Oliver. If we get one of those guys I will be ecstatic. I'd probably do it, I have a hard time giving up 40, but I'm fine with the rest. But I do think San Francisco might take a player like Zay Jones or even Trent Murphy (Stanford connection) in a trade in place of a pick. I think they want to trade down for a guy like Greedy Williams and in doing so can get the pick they traded for Dee Ford back and then some. But yeah I'd take Bosa, and I think he will be at least as good as his brother, probably better and a perfect fit in McDermott's system imo.
  10. I'm guessing Kingsbury doesn't like Rosen's game at all. Rosen is going to lose the competition and Kingsbury is going to build his offense around Murray. Rosen still has some prospect shine, and compares well to the draft class of quarterbacks this year. Rosen is only a couple of months older than Haskins and Murray and is actually younger than Lock. Anyway, Rosen's trade value will never be higher than it is right now because the QB class is eh and his prospect shine is still there, so they need to move him now imo.
  11. It's going to take a good amount, but you are getting the top player in the draft. 2 elite players in the this draft in Bosa and Williams. SF just seems like a team that would want to trade down idk. Tampa makes sense too.
  12. I would think they try to get up to 2 for Bosa, if they can't, you get to five for Allen if he's there imo.
  13. John must be reading the boards here. 10 draft picks aren't making this roster. Package some go get Bosa or Williams.
  14. I think 8 is the spot as well, because they have connections in those front offices. And that could be why the Bills might try to hide their interest in Hockenson.
  15. I think they are taking Devin White. If he is gone, I could see them working a trade down with the Patriots, who then take Hockenson.
  16. I do think that Hockenson is the kind of guy you hide your interest in. He's sort of one of a kind in the draft this year, and it isn't conventional to take a tight end at 9. If no one knows the Bills are interested, it kind of guards against a trade up.
  17. Everything I have seen is day 2 pick.
  18. My best guess is Kyle Rudolph
  19. Yeah I don't like this rule. It's lame. I understand injuries happen, but these are awesome blocks and why a lot of people like football. They are definitely taking excitement out of the game. I'm surprised they don't eliminate trap blocking and cut blocking. South Park was a bit ahead of its time.
  20. In my opinion, no not really. He has 12.5 sacks where Shaq has 10. Ogbah has played a whole hell of a lot more than Shaq in terms of snap counts.
  21. Interesting change that makes sense. But you know the refs and that idiot Al Riveron are going to f it up royally.
  22. He's very similar to Charles Johnson and some of the other defensive ends that McDermott had in Carolina. He has some burst and strength, but is a bigger bodied defensive end, so not a pure bendy pass rusher. But I have to say I really question if he is an upgrade to Shaq Lawson. Their combine numbers are nearly identical. Ogbah is longer and lengthier. But to add, their production thus far is pretty much the same in sack numbers etc, though Ogbah has 40 starts as a full time player and Shaq has been a part time player in just 35 games, 17 starts. So I like the player, I question if he is a true upgrade. That said I do think McDermott wants to rotate 4 defensive ends and we have 3. If you can get him for a fifth, I'd do it.
  23. I might just take TJ Hockenson to guarantee I can keep him off the Pats. .
