  1. Another thing about Cook, and I am speculating that this could be a factor, but he had his worst statistical seasons playing under the guidance of Rob Boras, who is our tight ends coach. When Boras was the OC, he recorded zero touchdowns. Maybe its a factor, maybe not. Latest rumblings have him winding up in New Orleans.
  2. They are in a tough spot right now. Their line is a mess. I actually think they could be a team that tries to trade up for Williams or Taylor. I would trade down to 18 in exchange for their 2020 #1 and something else. I saw they were interested in Josh Kline and moving Riley Reiff to LG....but what's the point of buying a quarterback for 90 million guaranteed and then scraping his carcass off the turf? And just to add to the doom and gloom, their offensive line coach is Rick Dennison...
  3. Side note on Kyle Emanuel I mentioned up top, he did play for linebackers coach Bob Babich while he was with the Chargers and they were fairly close as they are North Dakota State people. Emanuel projects as a SAM in our defense and has the ability to start if they wanted to move Lorax to more of defensive end role. As I mentioned, he is an excellent special teamer.
  4. His veteran savvy will win them too many games
  5. I thînk we need an end, a defensive tackle, another tight end, and linebacker depth that can excel in special teams. Cassius Marsh - So I said it somewhere else but I would love to have Cassius Marsh on this team. Can play off the ball SAM, and can rush as an end. Can play some wide nine. He's also really good on special teams and he hates the Patriots. Perfect fit imo. He's only 26, will be 27. He recorded up 5.5 sacks last year in a part time role. Obvious Clayborn and guys like that make sense, but Marsh is more versatile and gives you special teams play. Eric Tomlinson - Really big blocking tight end formerly of the Jets. He was set to be a RFA but was not tendered. 6-6, 263. Great special teams guy and will throw in a catch or two. Perfect 2-3 who serves as almost an extra lineman. Should come cheap. If you watch the Andre Roberts highlights, Tomlinson is often making the key kick out block that springs him. Other names out there are James O'Shaugnessy, Maxx Williams, AJ Derby Albert McClellan - he's an older player at 33 but he's linebacker depth who is an excellent player on special teams. Kyle Emanuel is another excellent special teams player formerly of the Chargers. DJ Alexander formerly of the Eagles works as well. He's been a pro bowler for special teams before and and would be an excellent addition. As we've discussed all over the board, we do need a three technique player. Maybe its Darius Philon, mentioned above. Maybe Corey Luiget. Honestly I think this guy comes via the draft, or a release of someone who hasn't been released yet.
  6. I think it's okay to draft for need late in the draft if the grades on guys are close. But never do it in the first three rounds. Especially not in the top ten.
  7. I think he definitely had some ups and downs, but I like his upside. I do think Feliciano is going to give him a real competition, and I won't be mad if he wins. I think, as others have said, that Teller will be so much better playing with an experienced center. But I'm excited for the competition.
  8. I agree. I like Teller, and I think he will step up against the competition and will wind up starting at guard, and I have my other money on Long. I think Feliciano is the perfect backup.
  9. I love Josh Allen, Nick Bosa, and Devin White. I think there is very little chance we trade up for Bosa or Allen, though I think we should. I feel like we won't draft White, but he's awesome. I dont really like the quarterbacks in this draft. If I had to pick one, I'd take Drew Lock.
  10. Perfect fit as a three technique. I'd love it.
  11. Nick Easton is the guy they should go after. He's a bit risky coming off of neck surgery.
  12. Told you guys! Guy is perfect for us. Pass protection will be better, not only because he is super talented, but because the communication across the line and with the quarterback will be a million times better because of Morse.
  13. Its so good, but I think the only one is in downtown Syracuse. There was one in Rochester but I'm not sure if it's open anymore. Anytime I am anywhere near Syracuse, like within an hour or two, I will take a detour to go. I think it was started by two Syracuse college kids or something like that. Thanksgiving Waffle is amazing. https://www.foodnetwork.com/videos/funk-n-waffles-in-new-york-0246754?soc=sharetw
  14. Cassius Marsh just got released from the Niners. I always kind of liked his game, and he can rush the passer. Could be similar to Lorax as a guy who can play an edge and off the ball. He's also excellent on special teams. Best part about him is he hates the Patriots and bad mouthed them on his way out of town.
  15. You know what's kinda crazy...Gabbert is actually younger than Tannehill. Seems like he's been around forever.
  16. Plus, I think it was Cassius Marsh who said how miserable he was there. Those stories get swept under the carpet because they win I guess.
  17. Ever check out Funk N Waffles in Syracuse? So good. https://www.funknwaffles.com/
  18. Apparently D'Mari Scott is not allowed to eat.
  19. I also think they could trade down to trade up like in 2017. (Yeah I know it was Whaley, but it really wasn't). They moved down for Tre White and then got themselves 2 second round picks in Dion and Zay. They did not pick again until the 5th where they had two picks and once in the sixth. So six picks overall. Last year they wound up trading up a couple of times to get Josh and Edmunds. Then they had no second rounder and didn't pick again until the end of the third. They had 8 picks, 1 of whom (Proehl) they had to cut and 1 (Ray Ray) who did absolutely nothing and probably gets cut this year. The there was Neal and Teller, who are both development pieces. And ofcourse 2 UDFAs who made a huge impact in Foster and Wallace. Now the team is so much better, and there is no chance ten draft picks make this team. I think Beane understands that he can package assets to get the picks that he wants. So I think we could see a big trade down, then a trade up. Ideally, in this draft, you want to get up for 1 of the three elite players, or you want to find a way to pick 3 guys in the top 40 or so.
  20. I like a trade up with SF. I posted this in the other thread: Also, with the way free agency has gone down, I actually could see a trade up. If I'm Beane I am doing everything in my power to trade up for Nick Bosa or Q. Williams. At this point I think Oliver might fall. I am working a trade with San Francisco to go get Bosa. They only have six picks. We have ten, and we aren't going to use all of them. If I can get to 2 to draft Bosa and Williams without giving up my 2020 first round pick, I'm doing it. SF traded their 2020 2nd rounder for Dee Ford. Offer them #9, our 2020 2nd, and maybe a 4th and 5th. Basically they get Dee Ford for dropping from 2 to 9 and get a 4th and 5th. It's a no brainer. They can have Trent Murphy and Shaq Lawson too if they want. I'm not normally a trade up guy. But I simply don't see how we fit 10 draft picks on our roster, and I see 2-3 elite players in this draft. With how free agency played out, I would totally work to jump up, specifically for Bosa or Williams.
  21. Yeah this guy is a warning to all the Jonah Williams lovers that want to take him in the top ten. Khalil was a really good college tackle who had some flaws in his game, but was considered the next big thing. Really athletic and all, but he struggled with elite rushers and he was a bit light in the pants, so he was mediocre in the NFL. Their combine numbers are very close, but Khalil was an inch or two taller, has longer arms, and is stronger. Just like Robert Gallery and Luke Joeckel, that's what you are getting with Jonah Williams. He's more of a late first round guy for me. He is not elite, therefore you should take him in the top ten. Take an elite defensive guy.
  22. Yeah I think Long starts at RG and Teller and Feliciano compete at the left spot. I think the draft a tackle somewhere, but I'm not sure they take a guy like Bradbury now.m
