  1. Sills! Let's go! That guy will surprise some people. He can go and get it and he's really smart. Super intrigued by Easley too.
  2. Nick Easley is the new Hogan-Reilly-Ed Eagan type hope.....But yeah he does look like a good get and seems like a great guy to play the slot behind Beasley.
  3. The fact that we didn't draft any wide receivers actually makes us a good destination for WRs. . ill go: David Sills WR Anthony Johnson WR Andrew Wingard S Alec Ingold FB Blace Brown CB Hamp Cheevers CB Daniel Wise DT Some quarterback for rookie minicamp.
  4. The Boston jokes are cute but he's from Jersey. Went to Don Bosco prep who dominates every year around these parts. ?‍♂️
  5. Looks like he dominated his level. He's tall with long arms, big hands all that good stuff. So a projectable frame. It's a lotto ticket.
  6. I'd go Alec Ingold and David Sills but that's me.
  7. There used to be good info at nepatriotsdraft.com not sure if it's active anymore. Their last post was in June 2018
  8. The will trade a bunch of them so they can get into position to draft Trevor Lawrence in 2021 ?
  9. This is a special teams pick Imo. He will compete with Siran Neal who needs to take a step here this year.
  10. Joseph will push Milano imo. Remember that Corey Thompson started a game last year and was terrible. So they are upgrading with a guy who can actually play, not just a special teams guy. Really nice pick and great value if you are into that kind of thing.
  11. They changed that rule like 2 years ago. I think the pick we acquired to take Knox was a comp pick.
  12. Yeah I agree. Really highly recruited guy who has a had a weird journey, but he could be developed like a Jimmy G. Oh well.
  13. I think this a great point. But I do think it was BPA for reals. Oliver was clearly BPA on everyone's board and a huge need as well. They had their choice of a number of RT but Ford was the guy they wanted. They tried to trade back into the first for him and passed on other players at the same position. I believe he was BPA. Singeltary is a running back, not really a need, and there were a bunch of players of positions of need in the board at the time. And finally, he traded up for Knox as well, and a whole bunch of tight ends have been drafted since then. I don't think he would have been there in the 4th. He targeted guys and grabbed them. So Oliver and Singeltary had to be BPAs, and he went and got Ford and Knox. Yeah I remember arguing that air raid quarterbacks were reading a lot of coverages and making NFL level throws and that whole thing was a misconception.
  14. Hes also a former walk on and a former safety.
  15. I think he's a 3-4 inside backer. I don't think he is a great fit, but that's JMO.
  16. I still think he was drafting BPA though. And I think the Singeltary pick is a clear indication of that. It may not have been our BPA here, but I do believe it wa theirs.
  17. Somebody needs to help John with Twitter and character limits...but great points all around. Trading up in front of the Patriots and grabbing Knox tells me Beane is willing to move around the board and paying attention to what is going on, which is way different than what we are used to around here. Remember how how painful and confusing it was for Buddy to trade up for TJ Graham? It's like he did not know what he was doing. Beane is a pro. He gets it and he's smart. You may not always choose the right players, but how can anyone argue against the process? Let's see what the results are.
  18. His forty was reported as 4.54...I saw 4.57 somewhere too. But that's really good.
  19. I do think it's funny that people always say we need to go BPA and then complain when we don't draft for need. Beane said these guys were his BPA. That's good enough for me.
  20. Similar in size to guys like Geno Atkins, Warren Sapp. Sapp played at around 6-2, 300...but he was fat. Oliver is jacked. So Oliver at 6-2, 287 is good with me. Sapp is the prototype in terms of talent as a three Tech, but he was a sloppy body.
  21. I think they see a guy with a lot of athletic upside and a projectable frame. I feel like just has not been coached to this point. There is no refinement in his game. If he went to Iowa, or Wisconsin or something where they really train their tight ends, I think he would have been a first round pick. I think they see a moldable piece.
  22. 2 things for everyone... Beane said he's not trading Shady. That Shady is the starter. There is room for 4 RBs on the roster. The Patriots have been doing it for years and play the hot hand. Each will have a role and we won't have to rely on UDFAs off the street to fill in when there is an injury. Patrick DiMarco is a full back. He is a lead blocker. He is not a running back. These things are not the same. This roster will have a fullback on it.
