  1. I love Bosa, Williams, Allen, Oliver. If we get one of those guys I will be ecstatic. I'd probably do it, I have a hard time giving up 40, but I'm fine with the rest. But I do think San Francisco might take a player like Zay Jones or even Trent Murphy (Stanford connection) in a trade in place of a pick. I think they want to trade down for a guy like Greedy Williams and in doing so can get the pick they traded for Dee Ford back and then some. But yeah I'd take Bosa, and I think he will be at least as good as his brother, probably better and a perfect fit in McDermott's system imo.
  2. I'm guessing Kingsbury doesn't like Rosen's game at all. Rosen is going to lose the competition and Kingsbury is going to build his offense around Murray. Rosen still has some prospect shine, and compares well to the draft class of quarterbacks this year. Rosen is only a couple of months older than Haskins and Murray and is actually younger than Lock. Anyway, Rosen's trade value will never be higher than it is right now because the QB class is eh and his prospect shine is still there, so they need to move him now imo.
  3. It's going to take a good amount, but you are getting the top player in the draft. 2 elite players in the this draft in Bosa and Williams. SF just seems like a team that would want to trade down idk. Tampa makes sense too.
  4. I would think they try to get up to 2 for Bosa, if they can't, you get to five for Allen if he's there imo.
  5. John must be reading the boards here. 10 draft picks aren't making this roster. Package some go get Bosa or Williams.
  6. I think 8 is the spot as well, because they have connections in those front offices. And that could be why the Bills might try to hide their interest in Hockenson.
  7. I think they are taking Devin White. If he is gone, I could see them working a trade down with the Patriots, who then take Hockenson.
  8. I do think that Hockenson is the kind of guy you hide your interest in. He's sort of one of a kind in the draft this year, and it isn't conventional to take a tight end at 9. If no one knows the Bills are interested, it kind of guards against a trade up.
  9. Everything I have seen is day 2 pick.
  10. My best guess is Kyle Rudolph
  11. Yeah I don't like this rule. It's lame. I understand injuries happen, but these are awesome blocks and why a lot of people like football. They are definitely taking excitement out of the game. I'm surprised they don't eliminate trap blocking and cut blocking. South Park was a bit ahead of its time.
  12. In my opinion, no not really. He has 12.5 sacks where Shaq has 10. Ogbah has played a whole hell of a lot more than Shaq in terms of snap counts.
  13. Interesting change that makes sense. But you know the refs and that idiot Al Riveron are going to f it up royally.
  14. He's very similar to Charles Johnson and some of the other defensive ends that McDermott had in Carolina. He has some burst and strength, but is a bigger bodied defensive end, so not a pure bendy pass rusher. But I have to say I really question if he is an upgrade to Shaq Lawson. Their combine numbers are nearly identical. Ogbah is longer and lengthier. But to add, their production thus far is pretty much the same in sack numbers etc, though Ogbah has 40 starts as a full time player and Shaq has been a part time player in just 35 games, 17 starts. So I like the player, I question if he is a true upgrade. That said I do think McDermott wants to rotate 4 defensive ends and we have 3. If you can get him for a fifth, I'd do it.
  15. I might just take TJ Hockenson to guarantee I can keep him off the Pats. .
  16. I think 3 Tech or edge. 3 Tech is the glaring hole in free agency and on our roster, and there is a lot of talent at the top of the class. I think it's Oliver or Gary, Allen if he falls not, likely. Maybe Wilkins. I think it's one of Oliver, Gary, Wilkins. I think Devin White and TJ Hockenson will get a lot of considerate as well.
  17. I read that comment as he really likes the depth at defensive line in the draft and he didn't feel he had to go crazy to go get one of them in free agency. And also that grabbing the center, the wide receivers, tackles, and tight end kind of takes some of the pressure off of having to grab those positions in the draft. I know I'm reading into it a bit, but I think it's fairly obvious that he is saying that. He knows he can get a top three defensive linemen at 9.
  18. Technically it's Stanford, but yes is definitely not Stafford.
  19. There are a few super obvious adds available imo. First is DJ Alexander. He is an ace special teamer and has been for a few years. He's been around a bit, but he's great on teams. He's a former teammate of Jordan Poyer at Oregon state. He's probably a will linebacker and can backup Milano while playing great on special teams. Plus we'd corner the market on Alexanders. Second is Kyle Emanuel, formerly of the Chargers. Plays SAM backer and could backup inside as well. Can rush the passer a bit. Former NDSU alum is pretty close with Bob Babich. Can actually play defense and is an ace special teamer. Another is Kevin Pierre-Louis. Kind of a poor man's Matt Milano. Smallish speedy linebacker who is very good on special teams. Former BC alum has been around the league, but has been very good depth and a very good special teamer. Former teammate of special teams coach Heath Farwell. l Cassius Marsh, former Niner, Pat, Seahawk. The dude is a tweener Sam/defensive end like Lorax. He'd be the perfect guy to groom at that spot. Seems like he's been around forever, but he's still just 26. He's also a willing wspecial teamer and doesn't like the Patriots. He's a former teammate of special teams coordinator Heath Farwell as well. Last, former Pat and Raven Albert McClellan is a backup linebacker who has been a beast special teamer for years. He's also on the older end. The rest of these guys are in that 25-27 range. Any two of these guys would make our depth much better and improve special teams. With Marsh you get a pass rusher as well.
  20. Even though Levi seemed to earn the job last year, I think they will make him earn it again. It's what they did with Milano, even though he was clearly better than Humber they kept on making him earn reps and it even seemed like the team was down on Milano at points in training camp. McDermott is going to make sure there is enough competition around to push Levi and the rest of the secondary.
  21. I feel like he probably wanted too much money. We moved on and he had to settle for way less than he thought he would get. Now he's getting less again. I put that on him, so when he's ready to cash in after another awesome year this year, he needs to think about that imo. But great fit all around.
  22. Great move for us and for him. He needs to stick with McDermott because it's the right fit for his abilities.
  23. Gotcha dude and I'm not trying to call you out, just an observation. I do think coaches are to blame for pre snap penalties and things of that nature. They are clearly doing something wrong. And I think Castillo, Crossman, and Culley had proven that whatever they were doing was ineffective. It's a results orientated job and they were not getting the job done. There was a need for change there. Same for Miller and Mills. Like you said, whether the new guys will be better or not is up for debate and nobody knows, but you have to try something new when things aren't working. Like Albert Einstein said, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." It was time for a change in those areas.
  24. I think you are asking the wrong question Coffin. I wonder why people have completely written of a 5th round rookie after seven NFL starts, under an offensive line coach for whom everyone was awful. People writing this guy off because he isn't Quentin Nelson are nuts. There is a reason one went top ten and one went in the fifth. He is a work in progress who has shown flashes and has more natural talent than any other guard on the roster. In fact, he is more talented than most of the guards in this upcoming draft and is similar in prospect pedigree to message board favorite Chris Lindstrom. The same people who criticize Teller swear that Nsehke is the answer to left tackle. A 34 year old guy with 16 NFL starts, some of which were at guard. Small sample size in both instances. Lunacy becuase neither mean anything. I've defended Teller a lot on here and I don't want to rehash all of it, but if anybody who watched him play closely, and has written him off, likely doesn't understand potential and development, and they likely don't understand the nuances of offensive line play. Just my opinion. PFF is not the be all and end all. In fact PFF loved him in college. Do I think he's Zach Martin? No. But I think he has the potential to be a solid starting guard in the NFL if he can find some consistency. The talent and ability are there.
  25. Brother I'm a middle school teacher, I see it every day in alarming ways, from the kids, but also from the parents. The minutia is insane.
