  1. Mort that's kind of a weird thing to think about when going to bed. Was Murphy wearing his open hoodie showing off his abs too?
  2. Yeah I really did not allow myself to enjoy the moment because I was so worried they would screw it up. It was like, hope, relief, elation.
  3. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2019-nfl-draft-best-available-prospects-for-round-2-highlighted-by-drew-lock-greedy-williams-a-j-brown/ Anyone else find it funny, that for the second year in a row, Chris Trapasso's QB1 best quarterbacks in the draft (Mason Rudolph, Drew Lock) are still avalable after round 1? Maybe he should stop analyzing quarterbacks?
  4. I don't know that there is a more perfect fit than Byron Murphy. He's a McDermott corner created in a lab. That said I really think the edge need with Ferguson could win out. I'd be ecstatic with Risner as a plug and play guard. I'm good with Metcalf at this point as well.
  5. To me 1 of Murphy, Ferguson, or Risner are the most obvious adds. Either that or one of the receivers. I'm excited about teh amount of talent...now don't go off the board and draft Torrell Troup.
  6. Yeah I'm not sure I like teh upside of Sternberger. Knox and Oliver seem a lot more interesting. Maybe Oliver can become the new Williams?
  7. Playing that video was in extremely bad taste.
  8. ESPN does more analysis and more film than NFL at this point. NFL network is way too glitzy. Tomorrow all they will do is talk about today with no highlights or film stuff. ESPN is better at that. I like Riddick and I actually like Kiper who they seeem like they are trying to phase out. Wingo and Booger are awful. Wingo is a total douche who makes the worst jokes. He's not funny and he's annoying.
  9. Risner Ferguson Murphy ar the best matches imo. Metcalf if he is there
  10. Jaylon Ferguson Dalton Risner Byron Murphy
  11. Perfect fit. And so excited. His reaction made me think of Gilmores sad face. This guy is gonna Ben great and a fan favorite.
  12. I love his game. he's really smart and understands routes and what the quarterback is thinking. He finds spots. He's like a huge Cole Beasley. He's also really good with contested catches and in the red zone. One of my draft crushes.
  13. He won't make a ton because the 9ers are going to eat the cap hit. I think his salary is like 3 million this year. I think it would be higher next season. Not sure how all that signing bonus stuff works.
  14. He was playing end. this year they used him as more of a tackle, and he was better, but still did not generate sacks. I think he's a better fit in the McDermott system.
  15. He's a solid player...but he doesn't get sacks and that has been the issue. I think he projects better in our defense whether he plays end or tackle.
  16. Don't go blind, that's what I would do. Swap with Houston, 9, 2020 2nd, and a 5th for Clowney, #23 and a late pick. Trade a 4th for Solomon Thomas. Or perhaps trade them Zay Jones for Thomas straight up. Maybe play Thomas as a 3 tech full time. Trade Jerry Hughes to the Giants for a 2020 3rd, or the opportunity to trade up from 23 to 17. Or trade up in the second round. James Bettcher Connection. Clowney-Star-Thomas-Murphy
  17. How can you take a player in the top ten who does not know how to run block? The audio says he's been working on getting his body in the right position and such. Seriously? He's just learning now? He didn't like football in high school? C'mon Buffalo, don't do it. Dillard is so not the guy. He has good feet and he's big. That guy is not a top ten pick. This is a guy who looks the part who wants to make a living. Don't do it.
  18. Way less, but he isn't near the player Clowney is. Thomas is like a more effective, suped up Shaq Lawson.
  19. This is what I posted in the Clark thread: A swap of first rounders and a 2020 second rounder isn't crazy. It is basically teh same as the value Seattle got for Clark. I know the draft chart isn't the be all end all. But 9 is worth 1350 and 23 is worth 760. The difference is 590. The number 29 pick the Chiefs traded is worth 640. Buffalo would be 50 points shy here which is the value of a late fourth rounder, and we have two of those. You could also likely work Jerry Hughes into the trade if you really wanted to and recoup some value in draft picks. Maybe you could trade Hughes to the Giants and James bettcher for a move up or a 2020 third. I would offer the Texans a swap of ones, a 2020 second rounder, and a 2019 4th. It's a fair deal for both teams and would be the same value that Seattle got for Clark. We would still have nine picks is year. It's a no brainer to me. The Chief's cost is really misleading. They did not give up a ton. See above.
  20. This whole saga must have been a team hoping he would drop.
  21. Thomas is not super long, but I think he would be functional in our defense. Dude is super strong and stout. He needs to do more as a pass rusher.
  22. Probably Kaleb McGary or Greg Little at this point
  23. I brought him up as a possible target a while back. What do I win?
