  1. 2 things for everyone... Beane said he's not trading Shady. That Shady is the starter. There is room for 4 RBs on the roster. The Patriots have been doing it for years and play the hot hand. Each will have a role and we won't have to rely on UDFAs off the street to fill in when there is an injury. Patrick DiMarco is a full back. He is a lead blocker. He is not a running back. These things are not the same. This roster will have a fullback on it.
  2. Here's some Alec Ingold. Another former quarterback. He smashes people and can run the ball. And catch it. We met with him at the combine. He's all process.
  3. I think he is on the hot seat, that they are bringing in competition and want him to earn his spot. That's good imo. He needed a push and a new line coach and we got both. If he doesn't win the competition at LT he's gone imo. I don't think they are just going to move him to guard. He deserves an opportunity to fight for his spot and I just can't fathom replacing my hand picked just turned 25 year old tackle with a soon to be 34 year old swing tackle tag who had a few nice blocks against Jadeveon Clowney. Dion has not yet proven that he can't play LT. He's been up and down. Yes he destroyed guys in his 6 plays at guard his rookie season, but that doesn't mean he is a guard. He has great feet and super long arms. The only think that screams guard is his height, and to me that doesn't matter much. Until Dion proves that he can't play tackle, don't move him.
  4. Everyone who wants a linebacker, I'm telling you Blake Cashman is this year's Matt Milano. Dude was a walk on, excelled on special teams and became a full time starter for Minnesota. He ran 4.5 at t combine. Love his game and he could back up at Will and Mike and wou push Milano a bit. He's 6-1, 237. Reminds me a bit of AJ Klein with more athleticism. I don't know if he makes it to our pick, but boy he's a great fit. He was one of the last visitors per @RyanTalbotBills
  5. I also think the fact that he is a former quarterback helps. Receivers who are former quarterbacks, like Edelman, Hines Ward, Trey Burton, Travis Kelce, Jordan Reed and to a lesser extent David Sills, are just smarter playe because they look at coverages and make pre snap adjustments the same way a quarterback does. They put themselves in the best position for their QBs becuase they understand where they need to be. They aren't just big dumbasses who can run fast....but you do need some of those as well.
  6. It certainly feels like one of these picks is going to be a corner.
  7. Blace Brown CB Amani Oruwariye CB Blessaun Austin CB Maxx Crosby DE Shareef Miller DE Blake Cashman LB Vosean Joseph LB David Sills WR Dru Samia G My deep sleeper 7th rounder is Alec Ingold. He's a fullback battering ram from Wisconsin. We met with him at the combine, he's a former high school wrestling champ and a nasty blocker. He shined at the Senior Bowl as well. Love his game. He probably should be an UDFA, but I'd use one of those 7th rounders on him to secure him. Great fit and would push DiMarco off the roster. I'd consider the punters too.
  8. It doesn't matter. The E-P system is about complimentary routes. The quarterback needs to go through his progressions and find the open guy. We have a bunch of complimentary players and are trying build a strong run game. Josh Allen is the main offensive weapon and his job will be to distribute the ball to the open man. Having the vaunted #1 receiver is just going to make him force the ball to the "go to guy" rather then read his progressions. I think they have just enough talent in the WR corps, and have a wildcard in Duke Williams. I'm not worried about it.
  9. Beane went BPA and targeted guys he wanted like Ford. I like that he didn't mortgage any future picks and was patient in the right places. We didn't draft for need, but still filled holes. He didn't force a receiver pick when it wasn't there. I hope David Sills is there in the 5th, and I think it is possible. I'm guessing one of Sills, Maxx Crosby, Blake Cashman, or one of the very many DBs will still be avlable. We shall see.
  10. People saying he would be there in the the fourth, the Patriots had 97 and traded out after we traded up and made the pick. I think that shows they were going to take Knox. So he would not have been there in the fourth. This is a really good pick and I think he has a better career than Sternberger.
  11. Yep. I just find it cool becuase they always f us. So maybe we f-ed them this time.
  12. Hey I know we always give them credit, but do you guys realize we jumped the Patriots? They were 97 and when our pick was submitted they traded out with the Rams. Seems like they would want a guy like Knox.
  13. One thing I will say is that is not 4.66 speed on the film.
  14. I love this player. Oh well. He's going to be so good for them.
  15. Martin was like. 4.6 guy. MJD ran in the 4.3s so that why I thought more Martin.
  16. I think it's worth a look. I also think they may cut him after the draft becuase they get big cap relief with no dead cap.
  17. Kind of reminds me of Doug Martin
  18. The guys a really good player. I think a lot of people are complaining that he's small and slow, but you can't argue the production. I don't care about his testing, he can ball. My thing is that I thought there were better players on the board, but I'm just some guy on a couch.
  19. He's a good player and I don't care about the 40, I just think there were better players on the board. But again for context, I'm on my couch.
  20. Hes one of the off ball linebackers left. Mack Wilson still there too. I like Blake Cashman maybe in the 4th.
  21. I'd be good with Ferguson, winovich or Knox
