  1. Thanks for the response. I love Milano, but that market value just seems high to me. I’m super curious what the demand will be. Is he really the 7th best 4-3 OLB linebacker in the league? I’m not sure. I hope we resign him, whatever the cost is, but I’m interested to see how it plays out.
  2. I am really curious about Milano’s value. He’s a great player and I love the guy. He’s just smallish for a lot of schemes. As of right now 2021 UFA is pretty stacked off ball linebacker wise with Lavonte David, KJ Wright, Demario Davis, Anthony Walker, Denzel Perryman. Its so hard to place that position and there is a lot of variation. Like a guy like Nick Kwiatoski got 7 million a year while Nick Vigil got 1 year 2.4 million dollar deal. I feel like they are comparable players. Milano’s closest comp size wise is Kwon Alexander, and he makes 13.5 million per year. Or a guy like Deion Jones at 14 million. Is Milano really on that level? I feel like he is closer to a 6-8 million dollar a year type of player. I think he is a must sign, but you never know when someone comes calling with bags of money.
  3. So I know there are some good players left, but I must admit that this exercise makes me even happier that we traded our picks for Diggs. I feel like there is a bit of drop off around this time. I wanted Murray or Queen but they are gone. Demario Davis, Kiko, Alex Anzalone are all free agents next year and the Saints will be in a bad way cap wise, even if Brees retires. So I was going to take Justin Herbert but @MAJBobby just grabbed him. I do think the Saints are going to target Love or Herbert, regardless of what Sean Payton says about Taysom Hill. The Saints have needs at DT, LB, and in the secondary and at guard. Anyway, I think the BPA by far is Xavier McKinney and it fits a need for the Saints and I think they would be ecstatic to get him here. He's a great prospect to kind of pair up with Malcolm Jenkins who can kind of show him the ropes. McKinney is a DB with a lot of skills who can do a ton of things for the Saints in their secondary. The Saints only have 5 picks in this draft, and while they have a really good roster, the have a lot of free agents coming up and they lack depth. With McKinney they are getting an immediate impact player. So with the 24th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select Xavier McKinney, Safety, Alabama. @turftoe is now on the clock.
  4. To me, Daryl Worley seems like a really obvious add. He was traded from Carolina once McDermott left. A young corner drafted for McDermott’s defense who still has upside. He could challenge Josh Norman this year and potential replace him next year. Safety wise I feel like they will be in on Tedric Thompson who would be a huge upgrade depth wise. DL wise tackles like Mike Daniels and Adam Gotsis are still out there. Ofcourse the big fish Clowney is still there, but I wonder if we would re-engage with Ziggy Ansah or pursue Jabal Sheard. Freeman, Hyde or Miller seem like obvious adds. Higgins is still out there as a wideout. Linebackers Jake Ryan and Alec Ogeltree could add competition and special teams.
  5. A little outside the box, but before I give up on him, I give Ray-Ray McCloud a shot at playing running back. He’s just not a receiver in the NFL because he does not catch the ball well enough. He isn’t great as a gadget player because he does not have the speed of a McKenzie. But his success as a punt returner and gadget player in college was a result of his vision, which I think is one of the most important traits of a running back. I don’t see why he couldn’t be a Dion Lewis type of back. Ray Ray was such a big time recruit as a running back that if he went somewhere besides Clemson he would have probably developed into a pro running back. The change of pace back we are looking for might already be on the roster. And he has to switch numbers anyways ?‍♂️. Just my 2 cents.
  6. Tua gonna have a better career than Burrow.
  7. There is a good chance Nate Becker pushes him off the roster.
  8. Sounds Jordan Matthews-ish
  9. Probably not a big deal, but didn’t mention Dion?
  10. I’d take Walker in a heartbeat. He is older, but he can still do some things. People need to stop counting Croom as something. I love Knox, I like Sweeney’s upside and Kroft is going to be here. But bringing Walker into the room is not a negative at all. I’d rather draft Dalton Keene and use him as Fb\te hybrid
  11. Are they trying to recreate the 90’s? Between Smith and possibly Randy Gregory...
  12. Jaguars Saints Chiefs
  13. https://coachtube.com I am a varsity football coach and I use coach tube all of the time. There are some free resources and some for pay. I bought Mouse McNally’s complete offensive line guide for like 90 dollars. Its awesome. You have videos on there and diagrams, powerpoints etc. https://www.xandolabs.com X and O labs is another good one. https://www.glazierclinics.com Just to add, I attend Glazier clinics each year, where coaches from all over the country speak. its an amazing ing experience, but may only be open to coaches...not sure. They have a ton of info online as well.
  14. Maybe an over/under on how many times they mention Tom Brady and speculate about the Pats trading up for the quarterback of the future?
  15. I love the fact that he is willing to go get the guy he wants where his value is. It is a very stark contrast to the days of GM Nix freaking out that the receivers were going and trading up and severely overpaying to grab TJ Graham.
  16. Good work. I agree. I don’t think they trade up into the first, though I do think it is realistic that they could get to 32 with the Chiefs. I think at the end of the the day they come home with 4-5 draft picks at most. I guessing multiple picks between rounds 2-5. just a note that Daryll Johnson is still here as a developmental end. Rotated in a bit last year and has potential.
  17. Cincinnati must be at least a little scared when you see Burrow’s touchdown record right next to David Klinger’s name.
  18. The Bills were all over Tedric Thompson pre draft in 2017. I know Whaley was still here with coach McDermott, but he has some McDermott DB traits. Could be an interesting by low on a guy who is still young with upside. I think he may have been our pick in the third or fourth id we didn’t move up for Dion or Zay.
  19. Burrow to me is Sam Bradford, without the injuries, who put up massive numbers on a stacked team. Burrow has skills obviously, but if i’m the Bengals I totally do that deal. I think Burrow has a high floor and I think he will be good. I’m just not sure if he’s going to be much better than Dalton-Bradford type of career. If I’m Cincy I take Miami’s top two picks and their first next year.
  20. They can definitely sign all three. My point is that Beane and McDermott have done a great job of building a team with little to no long term cap commitments. Now they are going to have to sign some of their own homegrown guys to long term deals after year 4. How they handle that situation will tell us a lot about the regime. Its like phase three. Phase 1, get rid of old regime garbage, phase 2 build and draft well, phase 3 sign your own and add. Milano will be the cheapest of the three. He is awesome for us but a 6 ft 220 pound off ball linebacker is a very scheme specific player and he would only fit a handful of teams. So I think he eventually stays. I don’t think he is that expendable because when he’s been hurt, there is a clear drop off in the defense. But to your point, he would be more replaceable than the other two.
  21. He reminds me of a young Jeremy Shockey. I think he is going to be a star as well. He’s young and raw.
  22. I love Dion and I think he is going to be the first real test case for this regime. They spent some good draft capital on a very young, somewhat raw player with really good measurables. They’ve developed him and he has now become a really good left tackle. He’s turning 26 in April, so still very young and has room to grow. These guys talked about building through the draft and keeping their own. I’m interested to see where they value Dion, if they set a number or will they pay market value? I am interested to see if they are going to truly be the build and sign long term type of regime, or the let guys go and draft replacements regime like the Pats. What they do with Dion, White, and Milano will tell us a lot.
  23. I like Pittman too. He’s got some interesting upside as well
