  1. I want my own homegrown blue chipper. I think Howard is a good player, but you have to pay him that fifth year option the same year as Tre. Kmet is an excellent prospect and if I’m getting a tight end, I’m taking the 21 year kid for 4 years over the other guy for 2 years, one of which is an expensive option year. If its peanuts, say a fifth, I’d do it. Howard is overrated imo.
  2. With the 106th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, The Baltimore Ravens select Antonio Gibson, RB/WR, Memphis. This is an offensive play maker and for the most part the scouting out there says he need to go to a team that will have him do multiple things. He excels at running split back power and working as a receiver in the slot, two things he could excel at in Baltimore. Greg Roman is a very creative OC, especially in the run game and he will find a use for Gibson. His combine measurement was 6', 228lbs and he ran a 4.39. He is electric as a returner as well, and old special teams coach Harbaugh loves that. Next season teams are going to put extra defenders outside the box and in the alley to try to contain Lamar Jackson. This will force Baltimore to get into more RPO plays, and the electric Gibson in the slot will make teams pick their poison. This would also force single coverage on speedster Hollywood Brown. I don't think Gibson is a great fit for every team, but for Baltimore, I think it is a home run. I focused on defense early in the draft and wanted to get Lamar Jackson the best weapon I could at this point. I feel like Gibson is that guy. I know it's a little high from where people think he will go, but I don't think he would have made it to my 4th round pick. My draft: 1: Kenneth Murray, LB 2: Bradlee Anae, Edge 2. Raekwon Davis, DT 3. Adam Trautman, TE 3. Antonio Gibson, RB/WR Not sure if we are still going so @Virgil @BuffaloHokie13
  3. This reminds of that time the Vikings got skipped and drafted Kevin Williams.
  4. Good choice. Makes sense.
  5. I already have two fourths, otherwise I’d consider it (even if we weren’t have one).
  6. The guy that really belongs is Kmet. He's a blue chip type player. He just came out too early, just turned 21, so he needs time. If he stayed at Notre Dame he would be a top 20 pick next year imo.
  7. I love Kmet. But it's projection. I'd take him in the 2nd if he's there. I think Trautman is super interesting, and I'd take him in the 3rd. I also like Dalton Keene and Josiah Deguara later in the draft as H back/FB/TE hybrids.
  8. I'd be more interested in Matt Breida, who I think they tendered with the intent of trading him later at the draft.
  9. I like that Kelce guy, but another hyphen guy? Nah. Harrison Bryant to me just looks like the kind of guy Andy Reid finds and makes use of.
  10. I still think the Bengals should take him. They won't, but they should. To me Burrow is not so much better than Dalton that they need to pass on this guy. Agreed. I really like him, but he is a bit of a project. I think teams go safe early.
  11. I could see a tight end here too, Albert O or Harrison Bryant perhaps.
  12. I know this question isn't for me, but Harrison is more of a dowhill thumper who struggles a bit in coverage. Kind of a sam/mike type player. And he is a lot bigger than Davis-Gaither. I think both are going to be very good depending on what defense they play in, but I like Harrison more. Gaither is basically a strong safety playing linebacker, but he has very good instincts and interesting upside as a three down guy.
  13. Lynch has done a great job finding talent and for the most part drafting (Solomon Thomas being a huge black eye). The quarterback fell into his lap as well. Where he has failed is in cap management. He has done a terrible job of back ending deals and pushing the can down the road with restructures. They restructured Kwon Alexander's deal just a couple of months into it. But no one wpuld care if they won the Super Bowl. At the end of the day, they did not improve this off season, unless you count signing Tom Compton and Joe Walker as a thing, and they lost DeForest Buckner, so I am interested to see how things play out for them this year.
  14. I always hated helmet numbers. Feels like high school. I actually like the royal blue and the light blue jersey. Not a fan of the yellow pants or the Navy. The rest is good in my eyes. Cross promotion with the Rams?
  15. I almost took Harrison but I was afraid I would lose Trautman and went through the whole draft without any offense yet. Backed myself into a corner a bit. Great pick and I agree I like how Harrison fits into that defense and as Gunner said, super happy that you are not the actual Jets GM. Unless you are Joe Douglas on a burner account??????
  16. The Ravens have gone all defense so far, but finally switch to offense and get what they believe could be the steal of the draft. With the 92nd pick in the 2020 draft, the Baltimore Ravens select Adam Trautman, TE, Dayton. 6-5, 255, long wingspan. I have not seen this guy play aside from the Senior Bowl and highlights, but the more I study, the more I really think this guy could be something special. His background story is a bit Josh Allen and bit Dawson Knox. He played quarterback in high school, was really skinny, was offered a preferred walk on spot with Michigan State, but Dayton really wanted him and he felt wanted there, so he went there. He decided it might make sense to switch to tight end so that he can showcase his athleticism. Anyway, long story short he got on the Ravens and the Colts radar as a junior and has worked himself into an interesting prospect at tight end. He is not super fast straight line, but his 3 cone time was the 5th best from a tight end since 2006, so his short area quickness is elite. He played at a lower level of competition, but he dominated there with 23 touchdowns the last two years. When you watch his highlights, you see a ton of contested catches, and I don't care what level a guy plays on, that is a skill that translates. I think he will need a little time to adjust to the pro game, but the Ravens have Mark Andrews and Nick Boyle (who is more of a blocker) so he can have some time while giving the Ravens some juice on offense, especially in the red zone. With the trade of Hayden Hurst, it makes sense for the Ravens to grab a replacement and is one of the BPAs at this point. The Jests and @MAJBobby are now on the clock. @Virgil
  17. I hear what you are saying, but if something better comes along you make moves. They are still in the business of winning games. Players don’t think sentimentally like that. It’s a business and they know it. Jordan Phillps and Shaq are gone and replaced. Spain would be gone if the price wasn’t right. Zay Jones got tossed like yesterday’s garbage. Players would be sad to see Milano replaced, but would be more fired up that their GM was aggressive and acquired an elite player like Kwon.
  18. I’ll say this, if he was playing, and as you noted, that’s a big if, he’s totally takling Deshaun Watson at the end of that playoff game. He’s just better. But he has been hurt. I’d rather have a somewhat risky, but elite player in Kwon, who I have to give up a pick for at 13 million than pay Milano 13 million.
  19. I hope he does as well. I like the idea of keeping homegrown guys.
  20. At least he’d be around passionate fans! That has to mean something to these guys!
  21. That is definitely true, but I would still take Kwon if the contracts are equal. If Milano comes in closer to 8-9 million, then I'd take him. Both great players, but if SF wants chump change for a guy like Alexander, I am good with it.
  22. That's the fun in it. My wife thinks I am nuts studying the draft and getting upset when guys are getting scooped up in this mock draft.
  23. I'd take him in a second. He had like 1200 yards last year and didn't even want to be there.
