Wow! See that’s why I like this trade. No more diva wide receivers. Just draft smart young guys who are willing to do whatever and run good routes. Just let Josh distribute.
-
Robinson is a nice fit for what they do defensively. He’s versatile and an interesting guy.
-
Yeah that’s crazy, but I am not shocked.

I hold fast to the belief that nothing matters except Josh. He is the key to the team. I like shifting to a Patriots mold of wide receiver, guys who run precise routes who Brady didn’t have to force the ball to. No true number 1. Ideally your QB can drop back, read the defense and throw the ball to the open guy, and trust that those guys will be where they are supposed to be. That isn’t Gabe Davis. And Josh had some pressure on him to force the ball to Diggs. Those guys are now gone. This is a good shift. Now this is obviously a downgrade in talent, but in the long run we may be better off. In my mind Dalton Kincaid should be the number 1 target ala Gronk with the Pats. 100% they need to draft two guys early imo. It’s ok to be upset about losing Diggs. It is also ok to say good riddance. Both groups are right. They gave it 4 years and it didn’t work out. It’s also ok to get emotional about it, but that’s kind of a waste of time. Now everyone gets to see what Diggs would like in the Shanahan style offense. Houston will be good as long as Stroud doesn’t feel forced to feed Diggs. He’s basically the number 3 there. Finally, in terms of compensation, obviously it isn’t good. But the market dictates that and it just kind of is what it is. We don’t know exactly what was going on behind closed doors, but for Beane to eat 30 million of dead cap, one must assume it was at the point of no return. It’s a new beginning and as long as we have Josh, we have a chance.

I’m into Brian Thomas, Keon Coleman and Leggette. Thomas is always behind the defense and I love the contested catches. Coleman is a huge playmaker and is slowly becoming one of my favorites. Leggette is a freak. Those three guys I think really complement the roster and provide a guy who is very different from what we have. I would not be upset with Worthy, Mitchell or Franklin. Mitchell actually reminds me of Diggs. My gut says they really like Franklin. Honestly we are in a position for a really nice upgrade. I would be happy with any of these 6 guys, assuning MHJ, Nabers, and Odunze are gone.

They actually have a pretty good roster. Their defense is very good and their offense has receivers, an RB and a really good line outside of the center spot….Althought I think both Powers and McGlichnchey, message board targets last year are both pretty terrible and very overrated. They don’t have a QB obviously and that is a huge problem. But I think they are far from the worst team in the league. They are an 8-9 type group imo. I don’t think Stidham is the guy, but I could see him starting a year as a bridge. Now if they trade Cortland Sutton and sign Nate Peterman or something, they arw tanking. I do think Sean Payton wants to prove he can win without Brees, just like BB tried to do in NE. And that’s why Stidham will get a shot. These guys are about ego.

I remember whispers that they wanted Lamar a few years ago. I know it’s a different regime in some ways, but it makes a lot of sense

100% agree with this take. For our mock draft all the QBs pretty much went where QBs are gonna go, just Daniels was the one that dropped in this instance. I am not sure that is going to happen but QBs goin 1-2-3 and the Vikings getting the 4th is probably what will happen (though Vikings will probably trade up). The draft is still on track.

I think if Alt is gone, it’s either gonna be WR or edge. Hopkins has just the one year left so this is a long term play. I don’t think Latham is the choice here. For me it was between Nabers or Turner and I just think Nabers is the better prospect.

I love it!

East coaster but a huge Mariners fans and I feel it on the backend trying to watch games at 11pm here. I’m usually sleeping by the 5th inning.

Allen is a unicorn! I’m not sure if there will ever be anyone like him.

Oh my bad. Didn’t realize that. Thanks!

In reality I think someone would have traded up at this point, but it’s tough to pull off trades with the draft flying and people having lives. I do think it’s realistic that this drop will happen to one of the those 4 guys, but I think it is more likely to happen to Maye or McCarthy. JJ is the wildcard here because it seemed like he was a 2nd rounder and now all of a sudden people are talking about him in the top 5. I’m not sure I buy it. But if you believe in your ability to develop a QB, Maye in many ways is the prototype. Whether you like Maye or not, I’d bet there are 10-15 GMs who have him ahead of Daniels and there are probably like 5 guys who have him 1 ahead of Williams. It’s a pick your flavor situation imo. It happens all the time. I might add I was having this same debate on Herbert with people on the board a couple of years ago. He was inconsistent, but I was buying that piece of clay and I still think he’s the best QB in that class. Maye isn’t Herbert, but he has similar traits.

Curious to see if the Raiders, Vikings, or Broncos try to make a move up for Daniels! Another question…if Daniels is there do the Jets take him? Sit him behind Rogers for two years? Daniels is a top 3 type guy.

With the 7th pick in the 2024 TSW draft 1.0, the Tennessee Titans select WR Malik Nabers, LSU. I wanted Joe Alt, and I like him a lot better than the other tackles and won’t settle here. The Titans have met with Nabers recently, and while I would consider a trade down in this spot, with Nabers there, I have to stay. The Titans have Deandre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, and now Malik Nabers. Adding a weapon of his ability feels a bit like a luxury, however, Nabers is elite and the Titans would be crazy to pass this up. Also, Hopkins is probably only around another year. Titans also have Tony Pollard, so speed like Nabers just adds explosiveness. We are setting up our young QB for success. We still need OL and I also considered Dallas Turner here, but this is a BPA situation in my opinion. In still need a left tackle, but I have the best OL coach in the business, so we will figure it out. The Atlanta Falcons and @TOboy are on the clock.

Nick Garguilo, C, South Carolina He has an edge to him and is just a classic nasty IOL. He’s extremely intelligent as well as a Yale transfer. I had to deal with the kid, coaching against him in high school. He was a terror then. A LT who moved inside, I think he’s a natural and will probably be one of those guys who is drafted late and starts at center somewhere for 10 years. Great RAS scores as well. Great size, long arms, huge hands. I think he makes it.
-
I could see the Skins preferring Drake Maye. I think both guys fit what Kingsbury wants to do. I do think Maye has a chance to be the best QB in this class if he is able to develop and goes to the right situation. Daniels is awesome though. I think he is more likely to hit. I do worry about durability and maybe some people in Washington will have flashbacks of RG3, but I would not be happy if Daniels fell to New England.

This is fun always. Believe it or not, I actually hit on a few matches the last couple of years! Eagles Jordan Davis, Saints Chris Olave, Texans Derek Stingley 1st and Jalen Pitre in round 2, Gervon Dexter Bears in Rd 3 (he went to them round 2), Texans Will Anderson

Titans jaguars or Bucs

Good old Quarterback purgatory. That was a terribly lonely place to be.
-
I like both Jacksons. And Julian Blackmon. And of course Simmons. The more think about it, Mekhi Becton makes some semblance of sense. Let him come in, no pressure. Let Kromer work with him and maybe he replaces Spencer Brown next year. I don’t think anyone is going to sign him as a starter. I’d wait until after the draft to do anything at this point.

McDemott was actually assistant DBs coach under Spags and they are both disciples of Jim Johnson. Spags has evolved to play more man and blitz more, but Johnson was know being pretty aggressive. Jim Johnson is a disciple of Fritz Shurmur who also mentored Dick Jauron. So McDermott seems to lean on the zone side of things. But the connections are there as well as some similarities in scheme.

Also deciding they just weren't going to call holding on the KC offensive line essentially handing them a championship.
