I think they should trade Murphy, but I would drop bottom of the roster guys like Love. I think Taco could beat out a guy like Murphy, but as you said with the crazy offseason it might be better to keep him. I would try to trade him, maybe to a team like the Seahawks, Vikings or maybe the Colts. -
Redskins would be a good fit. Their defense is going to be good with that D line and Ron Rivera and they can give Haskins a year to really watch a pro.

Report: Bills we’re taking Dugger at 54 if he was there
MrEpsYtown replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really like Siran Neal, and I like the way he has developed. That said here are some alternative big nickel ideas... To me the best guy would be Eric Reid. I know a lot of people would not be happy with him, but he’s done it before and did some of it in Carolina. Honestly, he is the perfect fit for that position. Tall, long, fast, big, versatile and smart. But not sure they go there....however, Reid could be a key piece that truly makes this a championship level defense. The other would be Obi Melifonwu. Big guy, suprememly athletic. Not the intelligent, savvy player that Reid would give you, but Obi probably has some unlocked potential there. If you want more of a linebacker, maybe it is worth it to take a look at Darron Lee. I have never been a big fan of his game, but he could find a nice niche here. -

Taco makes some sense as a cheap add if he clears waivers. Didn’t quite develop in Dallas but did get to 5 sacks with the Dolphins last year. We liked him pre draft in 2017 (Whaley/McDermott) but he was also heavily scouted by the Panthers that year. Big, long, and athletic but has bot put it together yet. I think he’d flourish in our system. I know we have lots of depth there, but there is an upside and some pedigree with who is only 25 years old. -
Or the president? LT came out okay too. And Kraft. Edit: Sorry, no politics, but I had to

Trey Adams releases his own Bills hype video

I like it. I just wasn't sure if the video was going to be SFW, and it is, so we are good. Imagine if the dude was a skill player? He would have already made the fan wall of fame. -

Bills sign FA safety/linebacker Mike Bell.
MrEpsYtown replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This guy ain’t making the team, but I’m happy to have him and hope that maybe he can open some eyes. I mean right out of college he was a tryout player and could not even be added to the 90 man, and now, after a year of no football, he is somehow a better prospect? This is the longest of long shots. -

Do we have the Deepest D-Line in the league?
MrEpsYtown replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with who they keep, but I’ve never really been impressed with what I have seen from Harrison. I hope he breaks out this year but right now he is 5-6 on the depth chart and I keep seeing people pencil him in as a starter so I am just trying to understand their thinking. -

Butler will compete with Star to start. Phillips, if healthy, will compete with Vincent Taylor for a job. He’s just not in the mix imo. -

I don’t get the Phillips love. I’ve seen it a bunch on here. Butler or Star will start with Oliver. Whoever doesn’t will get the other side of an almost 50-50 split. Phillips has accomplished nothing, looked small and overmatch, and is coming off a serious injury. I get that Phillips looks like Kyle and is all Bills Mafia and stuff, but they did not sign Butler to be a third string depth player. That’s Harrison Phillips. Edit: And I really like Phillips and would not count him out, but penciling him in as a starter at the 1 tech on a team with Butler and Star, and coming off a major injury just makes no sense.- 105 replies

Tyler Bass, kicker, might be Bills' best pick
MrEpsYtown replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have to say that the affect a field goal kicker has on a game is not close to the type of impact a starting defensive end has on a game. A kicker’s impact on a football game is so completely overrated becuase the difference between a good kicker and an average kicker is so miniscule. Yes Justin Tucker is far and away the best. The rest are all pretty much the same. I think kickers were ignored and underrated for so long that the perception of them with fans has overcorrected. Probably mostly has to do with fantasy football. Yes they score points, but are useless without the rest of the team getting them in position to score points. There is no way that this pick is more impactful than the Epenesa pick. I like the pick and am excited about the player, but I have a hard time with calling this the most impactful move of the draft. There is a better chance that he does not even make the team than him being the most impactful move of the draft. -

MrEpsYtown replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Totally agree. There is so much on these guys in the first place, drafting them, especially high puts more pressure on them to succeed. We even saw this last year with Kaare Vedvik. He was backing up Tucker in Baltimore and look so good in the preseason that everyone wanted him. The Vikings trade a 5th round pick for him and suddenly the wheels came off. Like once he was the guy, the pressure was on and he was terrible. Then he gets cut a few weeks laster and blows the home opener for the Jets. The worst thing the Bucs did to Roberto Agyauo was take him in the second round. It just killed his career, too much pressure and expectations and now he is out of football. Bass seems like a good get, and if we didn’t draft him someone else would have, but it does put extra pressure on the guy. But the results do support the idea that you should never, ever draft a kicker. Honestly I would have liked to see us draft Braden Mann there and get a kicker later, but I support the Bass idea and I think our roster is very good to the point that drafting a kicker is okay. Pretty good article that basically states that the results are so hard to predict for kickers that it doesn’t make sense to draft one. https://www.google.com/amp/s/fivethirtyeight.com/features/memo-to-nfl-gms-stop-drafting-kickers/amp/ -
RD 2, Pick 54: DE AJ Epenesa, University of Iowa
MrEpsYtown replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IMO it’s more: Hughes-Butler-Oliver-Epenesa Addison-Star-Jefferson-Murphy Johnson and Phillips in reserve If you really don’t want a team to be able to run the ball: Jefferson-Star-Butler-Epenesa If Murphy gets cut (I think it is likely) you either see more Johnson at End or Phillips at 3 tech with Jefferson at end Sub package you might see something like: Hughes-Jefferson/Epenesa-Oliver-Addison -

Im interested to see who gets released and signed over the next few days. Keeping my eye on Hasson Reddick of the Cards as I think gets released. Could be a fit as a Lorax type of player. -

And I actually am in the minority that I think Stidham will be okay. Not great, maybe like Matt Moore with the Panthers good. -
It certainly will never meet the masterpiece from last offseason. But man Zay really sucks.

Raiders gonna cut him soon. Maybe he could go join that damn ECU receivers coach with the Chargers who wanted his guy...hence why we dont have Juju or Kupp.
