  1. Agreed but I have to give a lot of that credit to Bobby Johnson the OL coach. Feliciano was clearly one of his guys from his time with the Raiders. Even though Johnson was the tight ends coach, he kind of took Feliciano under his wing. All in all, great stuff.
  2. Moss will be fine. I do wonder why Yeldon isn’t used considering his abilities as a receiver and the number of empty sets we have run this year. He’s way more of a mismatch for linebackers and safeties to cover. I think he should play more.
  3. Big supporter of Ike. A lot of the stuff pre draft and such was about how he was projected as a day 2-3 pick if he hadn’t had the injuries. The old Buddy Nix “find college tackles and move them to inside” still prevails. Morse, Ford, Boettger, Winters, Bates, Feliciano all college tackles. Ike is strong and is also pretty athletic...I think he’s a converted tight end. I’ve said it before, I think he and Ford are our starting guards next year and they find a way to sign Williams. If there is turnover, I think it could be in the middle, but Morse has picked up his play recently. I like Feliciano, but Williams is the priority in FA.
  4. Thank you. Good stuff. I was really looking forward to Sweeney playing some.
  5. For what it’s worth, I think our starting line next year is: Dawkins-Ford-Morse OR Feliciano-Boettger-Williams I think it’s obvious they really like Boettger. They held on to him for awhile and developed him. They put him in that game and shuffled the o line when Morse got hurt, and he’s cheap. I think they 100% have to sign Williams no matter what. So I think it comes down to whether they keep Morse, or cut him and use the money to sign Feliciano. Just my 2 cents.
  6. I think Williams is 100% back. I also think our starting guards next year are Cody Ford and Ike Boettger. Unlikely, but I could also see them cutting Mitch Morse and re-signing Feliciano to play center. I love Mitch Morse, but you can get out of his contract without much of a hit after this season. Hate to see it happen, but I do think Feliciano has been very good there.
  7. Its hard for guys to come in and learn a defensive system in the middle of a season and make an impact. This guy knows the system and probably the best guy sitting out on the street.
  8. When was the last time an NFL trade deadline move was made that propelled a team to great playoff success? I’m not trying to snarky, like honestly curious. This isn’t baseball. At the end of the day, we don’t know what was out there and what was discussed, but I don’t think trade deadline additions are going to make or break this team. Disappointed? Yeah a bit. But the overreaction is a bit much. People were ready to go nuts on the line moves on Sunday. Anyone seen Ike Boettger’s pff number against the Pats? Now i don’t love PFF, but the point is that moves are made for various reasons. Anyway, moves are not made in a vacuum and these guys are going to cook with the groceries they chose.
  9. To Lorenzo’s point, we have played the majority of the season in a nickel 4-2-5, and in that alignment Edmunds and Milano/Klein are essentially playing the same position. we have not been in much base. I agree though? That he could excel as a sam in a 4-3 under look, which I just have not seen this year. I still believe in him, because he is a unicorn as a mike. He could be something amazing. But if he were drafted by a team like the Steelers or Ravens and played more like a 3-4 OLB, he’d have like 12 sacks every year.
  10. Living up to that screen name
  11. Too bad O’Brien isn’t there anymore. He would have jumped at that offer.
  12. For anyone who wants to move on from Tremaine, it simply will not happen.
  13. I wonder if Andrew Norwell is available.
  14. Good stuff. I’d take Engram in a heart beat. Total change of scenery guy. Mercilus is an interesting one. But he has a good chunk of money left on that deal, so he’d be here next year as well. I don’t see that one happening just because the money involved. Same type of issue with Atkins. They’d essentially be our offseason additions as well.
  15. Kwon is a nice get. Not sure why the Niners moved him. Also not sure how the Saints always find a way to squeeze the cap. Also I would like them to send us Trey Hendrickson.
  16. To me the issue with trades is that we don’t have a 4th which was part of the trade for Diggs. Obviously great trade, but there seems to be a lot of guys on the market who could be had for a 4th, but maybe not a fifth. I’m not willing to part with any of our first three picks unless we are talking elite guys. Ideally we try to find a way to pry Trey Hendrickson loose from the Saints. Not sure they part with him, but they won’t be able to re-sign him and he is just starting to make his mark. Most realistic target right now is Kyler Fackrell, one a 1 year deal, provides pass rush and can play off the ball as a linebacker. The Giants make sense as a partner as they have no fifths. Do two fifths and a seventh get me Fackrell and Dalvin Tomlinson? I doubt it, but there is a Carolina connection. What is Tomlinson worth? What would Engram cost? Kyler Rudolph makes sense too, but Vikings have something like two 4th, three 5ths, two sixths...something like that so not sure they would love more 5ths. I see, a 5th for Fackrell, and a 7th for Jacob Hollister.
  17. Agreed. Was just about to post this. Wood beat me to it.
  18. Full transparency, I thought Dalton would take Dak’s job. I also was not sold on Dak. But he proved it this year. Unfortunate he got hurt because he was lighting it up.
  19. I think it is one of those change of scenery type deals. The guy has potential, but will probably never be good in NY.
  20. Foster Moreau is a guy i really like. He’s been pushed down the depth chart and is running #3 right now behind Waller and Witten. It might be worth a look, or at least an inquiry. The Evan Engram idea makes sense depending on the cost. Maybe make a call to the Seahawks. Jacob Hollister is also running #3 on their depth chart behind Olsen and Dissly, plus he’s got that chemistry with Josh Allen and knowledge of the offense from his days with the Pats.
  21. They should find a fullback, sign Johnny Stanton off the Browns practice squad, and use Gilliam as a real TE2. I am also hoping for a Sweeney return at some point.
  22. Yeah I feel like Cam Lewis has held his own. He looks like he belongs.
  23. Has to be Ike Boettger at LG. It’s either him or Ryan Bates. The fact that Ike came in when Ford got hurt last week, makes me think he’s the guy there this week.
  24. What really sucks about that graphic on cap space is the fact that we have quantity without quality...a bunch of meh players making too much. At least Indy, Philly, KC, ATL, Pitt, LA, Cincy, Cleveland, and Dallas have top tier “best in the league” guys on those defensive lines. I’d rather have quality over quantity.
  25. I’m going Carlos Dunlap. He makes sense on a lot of levels, but he is also signed for next year so not a pure rental. I know we said one but my others Tak McKinley, Kevin Zeitler.
