  1. One of the reasons I really like Kmet. We really have not invested in the position in terms of draft capital. To me, if he came out next year he would be a first round pick. He is very young and probably should have stayed in school a year, but I feel like he will be the next Kyle Rudolph type really good tight end. He just turned 21 and is a true junior. Sleepers I like are Dalton Keene and Josiah Deguara, but I also think the kid Trautman from Dayton is interesting. But if its me I’m taking Knet in the second round.
  2. Ok trade fell through. So with the 60th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft the Baltimore Ravens select Raekwon Davis, DT, Alabama. I know I should be pursuing weapons for Lamar Jackson, but the Ravens got upset by the Titans because the could not stop the run. We traded for Calais Campbell, signed Derek Wolfe, moved Brandon Williams back to nose, and we have since singed LB Jake Ryan and drafted LB Kenneth Murray. Add in Bradlee Anae as pass rusher and the front end of our defense is now fully re-loaded. Davis is a beast, 6-7, 312...just ridiculous size and power. He's inconsistent at times, but shows up in big games, so there is something special there. I don't think he has amazing instincts or pass rush ability, but he is going to be stout on the Ravens d line as a 5 tech. With the 6-8 Campbell and 6-7 Davis (Baker Mayfield may never get a pass off), plus the 340lbs Williams at the nose, the run defense should once again be stout and Murray will be kept clean to make sideline to sideline plays. Davis has some things to learn, but who better to learn from than a guy like Campbell with a similar body type? Super excited about building this Ravens defense back up. @MAJBobby and the Jests are on the clock. @Virgil
  3. But it may leave LA “desperately wanting” an offensive weapon that is “good.”
  4. I’m not totally against it, I just don’t think it is doable. I think that’s tricky because Dawkins is going to be a free agent. Are you going to give him huge money to move him to the right side? Is he going to want to stay to flip over to right tackle? And where is the big time left tackle coming from? Ronnie Stanley and Laremy Tunsil are set to become free agents, but they won’t ever get there or will be tagged. Maybe David Baktiahri who will be 29 after next season. Perhaps Taylor Decker, but I don’t think he is better than Dion. Everyone else will be old, and we will hopefully be good enough so that we don’t draft high enough to get an elite left tackle. Lets say you sign Bakhtiari to like 18-20 million per and Dion to 15-17 million per. That’s tying up a lot of cap to the tackle positions when you have guys like Tre White coming down the road.
  5. I actually agree with this. Feliciano is okay. I mean 100 times better than John Miller, but he isn’t great. He’s ok and he brings a nice edge to the group, but he is overachieving. I could see us drafting Hunt or Simpson and kind of grooming them. I also think there is a chance that Boehm or somebody maybe beats him out. In the little bit of time Spencer Long go last year, I actually thought he looked better than Feliciano.
  6. I like Carter Coughlin. Undersized DE, who I think could play off the ball and transition to a Lorax type of role in the NFL. He has some pedigree as Ohio State went after him hard, but he wanted to stay with family tradition and go to Minnesota. I liked Blake Cashman last year and this dude flashed on the videos I watched. Braden Mann. He's going to be good. And I know a punter isn't that exciting, but I'd take him in the 5th, maybe even the 4th. I know punting highlights are not exciting, but this is just stupid:
  7. I'd agree. I think I'd want more impact in round two.
  8. With the 55th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select Bradlee Anae, Edge, Utah. Honestly, I wanted Terrell Lewis here, then I was thinking Shenault, but the more I thought of it, this guy makes a ton of sense for the Ravens. He isn't your standard 4-3 end, and he really isn't your standard 3-4 OLB either. But he can do a lot of things well. This is the type of player the Ravens always draft and sometimes it misses, and sometimes they hit it big. This guy plays with such a motor, I do think he is a Ravens type of guy and supplies them with another guy who can get after the quarterback. He will get a lot of opportunities playing with Judon, Calais Campbell etc. I don't know if this is a reach or whatever, but this guy can play, and for a team that plays defense the Ravens do, he could be a huge find and an impact player. A lot of people feel like he is a third rounder, so I did not think he would make it much longer. @MAJBobby and the Jests are on the clock. @Virgil
  9. Can anyone speak on what they feel Helaire would bring to the Bills?
  10. agreed. I was eyeing him for the Ravens
  11. Great pick and nice value! I was eyeing him here at the bottom of the round. Didn't think he would make it to me.
  12. I’m gonna say Redskins, Eagles, Colts. Perfect fit in Indy, to work with Jack Doyle and Philip Rivers, but Skins have a massive need there. Or maybe he goes back where he is comfortable. All of these teams have the necessary cap space. But I think the Skins make the most sense.
  13. Its a nice pick and I think he will do really well in the Shannahan zone running system. I do think he’s better at center and may get exposed in pass protection if he has to block elite pass rushing tackles one on one out at guard. Center is just so natural for him. But I love this player and was eyeing him for later in the round. Good stuff!
  14. I probably would have taken him at 28 if Murray was not there. Great pick.
  15. I really like Keene. I think he'd be a nice add as a guy who could play tight end and fullback. I like him as a Kyle Juszcyck type of player.
  16. Eh, we all know he was overdrafted, but he was terrible and all he did was regress. When coaches doubted him, you would thing he would push harder. A professional athlete without confidence is useless. He also probably should have started to learn to read defenses before half way through his rookie season.
  17. I think Justin Herbert winds up being the best QB in the class, and I know that is not a popular take. But a team needs to let him sit 8 games at least. If he gets thrown into the fire, he won’t make it.
  18. totally! You figure you get the 5th year option and at least 1 franchise tag. So he’s here at least 3 more years. Worst case scenario is that he plays here 8 years and walk as a free agent at like 29. That’s not awful but I think we are better off keeping him here.
  19. It’s just becuase they are a team picking in the back third of the round without a first round pick. It skews everything. If they picked higher in the round, it wouldn’t matter as much and they would have more perceived value.
  20. This is a great point and really interesting.
  21. With the 28th pick of the 2020 NFL draft, the Baltimore Ravens select Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma Oh man, my Ravens sprint up the virtual podium the select the former Sooner standout. Ever since CJ Mosley left, the Ravens’ defense has been missing something. Murray has all of the leadership and intangibles, he is long, strong, and fast. He is also a great blitzer and is the ideal toy for the Ravens defense. I was trying to trade up into the late teens for Murray, so to have him slide here feels like a steal. After getting run over by the Titans, the Ravens acquired Calais Campbell, Derek Wolfe, and moved Brandon Williams back to the nose. This team has a great secondary, strong edge players and now finds the new heart and soul of their defense in Murray. @Blokestradamus and the Titans are now on the clock. @Virgil
  22. Makes sense. Obviously he loves Diggs, but I think one of the reasons he was so comfortable making that move is that he didn't love what might be available in the 22 range, back third of the first. So why would he turn around and risk a ton of future draft capital to get up into that range again? Doesn’t make sense. I could see a bit of trade up in the second if someone fell out of day 1. But it seems like there is like 12-15 really great prospects and that 16-80 could go anywhere on the board. So we are sitting pretty imo.
  23. Yep in 2018 Johnson was the assistant OL coach under Dave DeGugliemo, who coached the Dolphins OL last season and was let go. Boehm was traded to the Dolphins after running with the third string in Indy after Johnson and DeGugliemo left. So those guys must see something in him that others might be missing. Boehm’s situation is a lot like Mark Glowinski, former 4th rounder who bounced around and then Johnson and DeGugliemo turned into a very good starting guard in the league. But Boehm has some skill, it just hasn’t come together yet. I think Boehm’s best position is center, but he could push the guys at the guard spot as well.
