  1. To me it’s projection into a scheme. A very highly recruited big time prospect who put up big numbers in college and really hasn’t found a home in the NFL. It just didn’t click for him in Dallas and in Miami he was playing OLB in a somewhat complicated scheme. But he projects perfectly as the type of end McDermott covets and he has upside as a pass rusher that we don’t have much of on this roster. I guess he is built a bit like Daryl Johnson with more pedigree. To me it’s a very low risk, possibly big time reward play on a guy who is still only 25 and had five sacks in a part time role last year playing in just 10 games.
  2. I like what they are doing. However with the virus situation, I think they are going to struggle. With like 14 rookies and a bunch of new free agent starters, I think it is going to be a challenge for them to get anything going. But I could see them taking a big step in two years. It was likely he would clear as no one was going to take on his 1.8 million cap. Now he can be signed for peanuts.
  3. With Tampa Bay’s kicking situation the way it is and has been, I wonder if they would give up like a 5th for Stephen Hauschka down the line. Obviously it would be ideal for us if the Bass kid to win the job. But I do think Hauschka would have some value for a team like the Bucs.
  4. I think DiMarco plays out his contract and they are looking for a new fullback next year. I wonder if they go after Kyle Juszcyk again as he will be in the final year of his deal this season. I myself was really hoping they would pusue Dan Viatle, or Rooseevlt Nix but obviously they didnt. I’m interested to see how Bronson Rechsteiner does with the Ravens. He likely doesn’t make their squad, but he’s and interesting guy.
  5. Honestly I’d cut Murphy, sign Taco Charlton, use the cap saving to sign Eric Reid. I think he would be the difference maker in the secondary that really unlocks the defense’s potential.
  6. Wasn’t there a guy who had to go to high level interest meetings or something?
  7. Well I mean, now that we have some Cox to use, we could certainly use some Taco.
  8. I mentioned this in the FA thread. He would be an interesting add. Still only 25, had five sacks last year. I think there is still upside there and I think he would be an ideal fit for this defensive scheme. It’s crazy to me that Harris fetched compensation (albeit low comp) and Taco did not.
  9. It’s a little cheesy, but I thought “playoff caliber” was cheesy as well, so as long as we win I don’t care what the motto is.
  10. Who is the player “built for quarantine?” Milano?
  11. What truly matters is here is, what number is Evan Boehm going to wear?
  12. I think they should trade Murphy, but I would drop bottom of the roster guys like Love. I think Taco could beat out a guy like Murphy, but as you said with the crazy offseason it might be better to keep him. I would try to trade him, maybe to a team like the Seahawks, Vikings or maybe the Colts.
  13. Redskins would be a good fit. Their defense is going to be good with that D line and Ron Rivera and they can give Haskins a year to really watch a pro.
  14. I really like Siran Neal, and I like the way he has developed. That said here are some alternative big nickel ideas... To me the best guy would be Eric Reid. I know a lot of people would not be happy with him, but he’s done it before and did some of it in Carolina. Honestly, he is the perfect fit for that position. Tall, long, fast, big, versatile and smart. But not sure they go there....however, Reid could be a key piece that truly makes this a championship level defense. The other would be Obi Melifonwu. Big guy, suprememly athletic. Not the intelligent, savvy player that Reid would give you, but Obi probably has some unlocked potential there. If you want more of a linebacker, maybe it is worth it to take a look at Darron Lee. I have never been a big fan of his game, but he could find a nice niche here.
  15. Taco makes some sense as a cheap add if he clears waivers. Didn’t quite develop in Dallas but did get to 5 sacks with the Dolphins last year. We liked him pre draft in 2017 (Whaley/McDermott) but he was also heavily scouted by the Panthers that year. Big, long, and athletic but has bot put it together yet. I think he’d flourish in our system. I know we have lots of depth there, but there is an upside and some pedigree with who is only 25 years old.
  16. Or the president? LT came out okay too. And Kraft. Edit: Sorry, no politics, but I had to
  17. Now that we have Cox we can really go deep.
  18. I like it. I just wasn't sure if the video was going to be SFW, and it is, so we are good. Imagine if the dude was a skill player? He would have already made the fan wall of fame.
  19. Also: Garret Taylor, S, Penn State Trey Adams, OT, Washington
  20. I also have to mention the Redskins Chase Young Ryan Kerrigan Montez Sweat Ryan Anderson Jordan Brailford Da’Ron Payne Jonathan Allen Tim Settle Matt Ioannidis
  21. But to answer the original question, the answer is San Francisco 49ers
  22. This guy ain’t making the team, but I’m happy to have him and hope that maybe he can open some eyes. I mean right out of college he was a tryout player and could not even be added to the 90 man, and now, after a year of no football, he is somehow a better prospect? This is the longest of long shots.
  23. Still have them on the DVR and have nothing to do, sounds good.
  24. I agree with who they keep, but I’ve never really been impressed with what I have seen from Harrison. I hope he breaks out this year but right now he is 5-6 on the depth chart and I keep seeing people pencil him in as a starter so I am just trying to understand their thinking.
  25. Butler will compete with Star to start. Phillips, if healthy, will compete with Vincent Taylor for a job. He’s just not in the mix imo.
