  1. I don’t think Basham can wear 9 unless he is listed as a linebacker.
  2. A veteran street free agent may be the way to go here. The guy who really sticks out to me is Abry Jones formerly of Jacksonville. Good stout player who is a leader as well. 6-4, 318. He’s been doing this a long time, but I think he can help in a rotational role. The other guy who is interesting, at least on paper, is Daniel McCullers, former Steeler and Bear. He is 6-7, 352 and has a ton of length (37 inch arms) to go with that size. Dude is massive. Both of those guys are sitting out there in free agency and I believe they would help add some bulk to the D line for a cheap price.
  3. Yeah i think a couple of these roster spots go to a veteran corner and a veteran tight end. Maybe Bashaud Breeland and Jesse James, something like that.
  4. I guess, ideally in three years, one or both of Brown and Doyle are ready to step into starting roles, and at the very least are functional depth and competition for a couple of years.
  5. Yep this makes a ton of sense. I could seen players trying to sign on with a team with championship aspirations, but there are not many spots where there will be “true” competition
  6. On the running back thing, I think Breida will have a good impact and I still really like Antonio Williams.
  7. Lsu FB Tory Carter Cuse CB Trill Williams byu WR Dax Milne byu NT Tonga Tcu S Ardarius Washington
  8. Yeah agreed. I don’t like the QB but it certainly looks like they may know what they are doing.
  9. Yeah defintely, but he’s more tweener to me. Gilliam still had a nice role on the team, i don’t like the work he did from the fullback position last year (small sample size)
  10. Seeing the Ravens take a fullback in Ben Mason reminded me that I think the offense needs a true fullback. JMO but I’d use one of these 6th rounders on Tory Carter from LSU
  11. I really liked Blaine Gabbert coming out.
  12. I think they sign Jesse James after the draft since all the tight ends are gone.
  13. Gunner any thoughts on Tay Gowan? Seems like a good fit.
  14. People I think may be sleeping on Lamp. He is the most talented interior offensive linemen that we have. I love his signing and I think he may surprise some people. Also, even though he hasn’t done it, I think his skill set projects very well to center. So he gives us versatility. I think he starts at one of the guard spots.
  15. Make sense to take tackle depth and develop it. Giant people who are uber athletes is a good strategy. Also the Jets traded out right after we took Doyle, so I hope they wanted him.
  16. He sounds an awful lot like a small school version of Kolton Miller. Very similar RAS numbers and size. Not sure you can do much better than that in terms of a developmental prospect.
  17. I don't like Jones or Wilson. I am a Fields/Lance guy. I would have been very upset if the Pats wound up with Fields. I think Jones will probably have the better career when compared to Wilson, but he's going to have to be surrounded by a ton of talent to succeed. IMO he isn't better than Cam, and he likely never will be. To me, Jones is Matt Cassell/Andy Dalton level starter. I think he can definitely be successful, but he doesn't scare me. Maybe a Sam Bradford type ceiling. Wilson is not better than Darnold. I think he will get crushed and overwhelmed early in New York. I think it is a bad spot for that kid. Again, he doesn't scare me, but he could also wind up being a dynamic game breaking player. If they throw him in there right away, I think he gets ruined, quick.
  18. God! That is also hilarious. OMG.
  19. I am in the minority, but I really like Daryl Johnson. Every time he is on the field he makes things happen. Coming in he couldn't have been more raw, but he has worked and you see an NFL player forming there. He is also a key special teams guy. He is still very young and I believe Beane when he talks about Johnson with the Epenesa's and Rousseau's of the world. Eventually, this is what all of our DEs will look like. Super long and big and tall. The Hughes and Addison types will be phased out imo. If guys wind up on the chopping block, imo, its would be an interior guy since these guys can play inside as well.
  20. Yeah I liked Moore a lot actually. I get the JOK love. I just don't see where he would play in a defense that is mostly pretty conventional. If we didn't re-sign Milano I would love it. JOK is perfect in a place like Baltimore, NE, Miami, places with more Amoeba type defenses. Maybe Atlanta next to Deion Jones. The Zach Wilson thing is just hilarious. Someone needs to get him on the Subway in the south Bronx and film it.
  21. I really don't understand the big nickel obsession here with the Notre Dame guy. There is just no value in taking a player like that in the first round. If he is there in the 2nd, great. Whether or not you like Rousseau is one thing, but getting hung up on this big nickel idea doesn't make sense. They tried beating KC by trying to cover everyone and it didn't work. They tried beating Brady that way for years and did not work. The only way to beat them is to get to the QB, and they need to try to do that rushing only 4 at times. That's what they are trying to do here.
  22. Agreed 100%. I wanted to trade Zay Jones for him awhile back. Ton of potential there. And honestly he is only a few months younger than Ike Boettger so I think he replaces him. Very excited about this one. Me too!
  23. I wonder if the Raiders would be up for a trade. They have Crosby, Ferrell, Arden Key, Carl Nassib, and just signed Yannick Ngakoue and Vic Beasley, Quinton Jefferson, David Irving and Solomon Thomas. I feel like Beane would wait that market out a bit.
  24. Its really just Clowney and Dunlap at this point. Nothing else out there can really be considered an upgrade.
