I’m guessing Beasley and to a certain extent Star were a holes. -

I definitely hate it for that contract, so I am assuming they restructure or extend. -

I have my eye on Kyle Fuller. But I’d be ok with a Patrick Peterson type of vet. -

Yep I agree. I hope they don’t go back to the well there -
Based on what Beane was saying, guys who can come here, get touches, rebuild value, and re-enter the market a few guys make sense. Marlon Mack got hurt and lost his job to JT28. But he has some pretty explosive play in the past and is a former 1,000 yard rusher. It is certainly low risk, high reward. Ronald Jones II has had some awesome games for Tampa, but his production took a dive once they added Fournette and Gio Bernard. Then you have guys like David Johnson and Tarik Cohen who have fallen off a cliff, but were once super productive. It makes sense for them to enter a place where they can play with an elite qb for 1 year. I still think Jerick McKinnon fits like a glove with Singletary and Josh Allen and has a chance to be extremely productive here.

This is probably the answer. We were after Gordon last time he was a free agent. This regime seems to go back to guys they tried to acquire previously. -
I just quoted you and added a comment so that you have to come check the thread 🤷♂️

Matt Barkley Back? (Yep! deal not yet known)

As much as people want Fitz, I don’t, he has always gone to the highest bigger. Guys like him and Dalton are going to want 5 plus million as experienced backups. -

Good move for them along with the Austin Corbett signing. They still don’t have a left tackle, but their interior looks better. Bozeman is not a RAS guy, but he plays with power. -
They will take care of him. But they can’t right now. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Grab Barkley now for super cheap and then just kinda wait things out. Guys get cut and shake loose. They could even consider drafting a guy -
Bills sign Marquel Lee (backup/ST linebacker)

Trading Edmunds makes no sense at this point

I remain in steadfast, if you believe in him, extend him now so that you can include the guaranteed money from this year that is already on the books. If you aren’t going to extend him, trade him now. Simple as that imo. I mean 13 mill for one year is like top 5 money at that position. Note to self, do not draft off ball linebackers, Oline other than LT, or elite at c-g-rt, safeties, or tight ends in the first round of the draft because you wind up paying ridiculous option number. Draft defensive linemen, receivers, and corners. -
I am still all in on Donte Jackson. It is a great fit. But I am guessing his cost has to come down. He is coming off an injury, but I like his speed and fit. If they plan of drafting one early, I am not opposed to a vet like Peterson. In fact he gave a great interview on NFL network the other day. I never loved Joe Haden. Kyle Fuller is a great fit. Good zone corner who is very physical. He is coming off a bad year, but I think our defense accentuates his positives and he is only 30. Nate Hairston and Rasul Douglas were guys they showed a ton of interest in pre-draft. My #1 target would be Jackson, followed very closely by Kyle Fuller.

I like having voices in the locker room who know that the grass isn't always greener. That's a good message for guys like Ed Oliver to hear.

Juju makes a lot of sense in Green Bay. Perhaps Will Fuller as well. -
Bills sign DT Tim Settle, formally of Washington Commanders.

Giants? Vikings? I'd still take Danielle Hunter off there hands. -
Singleton is really a WILL backer. The few times I have watched them play, he was all over the field, but he is similar to Matt Milano. Good add as a linebacker and special teams guy, but one would think he might find a starting gig elsewhere. Unless the Bills want to use him on passing downs with Milano and have Tremaine rush the passer. PFF doesn't love him, but I don't love PFF stuff. Maybe he has some inside knowledge on Troy Andersen as they are Montana State guys, though they never played together.

Those prices are going to have to come down if those guys wat to secure jobs. With the draft as strong as it is for DBs, they have to be careful not to price themselves out.

Perusing what is left of the guard market there is not much left, especially when you consider that this team seems to be looking for the RAS guys. Unsurprisingly, Cody Ford had some terrible agility score. My conclusion is that we really need to try to keep Bates. Will Hernandez - Somewhat surprising to me, but he has some nice athletic traits. Hernandez did not have a great start to his career with the Giants, but really who has? There is upside there. Honestly, Hernandez is really the only guy out there who is still young with upside. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif? Maybe. Former Chief that was pushed out of a job. The Jets probably cut Greg Van Roten, who surprisingly, (at least to me) posted a great RAS score coming out but he was atrocious with the Jets. He was solid with the Panthers. We had rumored interest in him during free agency. My unrealistic dream is that the Falcons miss out on Watson, trade Matty ice, go into full rebuild mode, and trade us Chris Lindstrom. FYI The Vikings version of Tremaine, message board scapegoat, is Garrett Bradbury. It looks like they are thinking of Bates as a center upgrade. They should sign JC Tretter and leave our guy alone.

Excellent article on what McDermott's defense looked like before the shift to full time 4-2-5. He hasn't done a ton of 4-3 under here, bit it is essentially a 4 man front with a walk up linebacker off the edge. It is what Von Miller was doing in Denver for most of his career early on. It is an very strong run defense. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2017/1/12/14236950/sean-mcdermott-buffalo-bills-head-coach-4-3-defense-all-22
