  1. The somewht lazy comparison is Jason Kelce. He came in at 280, which is just really small and put on like 15 pounds over the years. Still plays around 295, and he’s probably a hall of fame guy. But he’s an anomaly. And was not a first round pick. An Iowa guy that Linderbaum reminds me of is James Daniels. When Daniels went to the combine he was 306. He now plays at 327. So with Linderbaum playing at around 290 at just 21 years of age, it isn’t crazy to think that he could pack on 15-20 lbs of muscle. Most centers fall between 295 and 310. (Just off the top of my head.) My guy was Mark Stepnoski who was 6-2, 269 and kicked ass vs some of those nasty 90s nose tackles.
  2. I think he goes late one. He is just so good. And he isn’t weak, he plays with leverage and holds his own against bigger guys. Massive guys like Marquan McCall gave him issues.
  3. Yeah I think its possible. I actually think they could use him to get up to Carolina’s pick. But I don’t think that they should as it would create a massive hole. I think it’s possible he gets moved next year but I do think Dion is a little underrated. He just doesn’t really get beat often.
  4. It could be that they are hiding their interest, or maybe they aren’t interested. Linderbaum can play guard but doesn’t have the same level versatility as those other guys. 🤷‍♂️
  5. Woody Johnson on line 1 @GunnerBill
  6. I do like Andersen and Brandon Smith better, but I do think Muma will be a solid player.
  7. There are some “not great” takes in that old thread. I love McDuffie. I get the short arms thing. And I am a measurables guy. But I just see a plug and play tailor made for this defense guy. If they put him on the white board at the combine, the dude probably knocked it out of the park. Like grand slam. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall. And man does this dude tackle. I mentioned it in another thread but to me he is a cross between Cortland Finnegan with a little Honey Badger sprinkled in. But I see Finnegan all day, an undersized, scrappy, in your face player who just got it done. I live Stingley too, but that is unrealistic.
  8. Never did that either. Hollywood makes being a Brinks driver seem super exciting and dangerous when in reality its probably just eating donuts and delivering cash to attractive bank tellers who majored in English or speech pathology and have to settle for the bank job for now.
  9. I am pretty sure i have pounded a few tables, but never sprinted to a podium. Actually sprinting would likely snap my achilles like a rubber band at this point
  10. In fairness, a few people actually mentioned similar type trades on here weeks ago. Not saying that this is where Cover 1 got the idea, but it’s possible. 🤷‍♂️ If they can work something out that allows us to get Stingley, I am all for it.
  11. Really good point here. That’s why I think you should package some picks and try to move up a bit to add one of those top corners. My hope is that these teams overdraft QBs and go bonkers for these offensive linemen letting the corners slip.
  12. 100% we need to draft guys there, but does it have to be a 1? I guess if its BPA that’s fine, or if a guy like Williams falls. I don’t hate the idea of Watson because I don’t know how much he can help us this year anyway. But it certainly adds a high upside development piece who could in theory replace Diggs eventually. But yeah we need a corner bad, and unless all those 1st round corners are all gone, I can’t see us going anywhere else in round 1.
  13. I just don’t understand the receiver at 25 crowd. I mean, are you drafting a guy who will push Davis down the depth chart? Or Crowder out of the lineup? That’s fine, but if not you are drafting a part time player. Like why?
  14. If this is true, I would think it would be for Stingley. That's it. But yeah I still don't think it happens. I think they move around the board though.
  15. He isn't coming here, but I would think Gilmore would want to wear his South Carolina/high school 5
  16. Apologies to whomever the Browns have as kicker.
  17. GM Doug doesn't realize that we now have a GM who knows how the cap works. So we are good.
  18. That was a rule for 2021, but does not apply in 2022. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-jersey-number-change-cost/1wctmhnwlhsx1tjj1yluzqbxu
  19. Well, if everybody here gets their wish of first round wide receiver than he will not play much more than that.
  20. I like Pitre a lot. I almost picked him for the Eagles earlier in the 2nd. Great value here imo.
  21. Right and they gave him a bunch of small guys with deep speed to throw to. Hill and Waddle can do other things obviously, but their strength is their speed. Just doesn't make any sense. Even the Will Fuller signing last year, like who is gonna get it to him?
  22. One of the reasons McDermott let him leave in the first place is the schematic fit. I know Gilmore is older now, but he was a man cover corner, not much of a zone guy. They could have given him a franchise tag and they didn’t. I don’t think they wanted him.
  23. Love Jt28, but in 2019 besides Biadasz, he had Cole Van Lanen drafted by the Pack 6th, Logan Bruss goin this year. In 2018 he had Michael Deiter 3rd round, and David Edwards 5th round in addition to those guys. Beau Benzschawel was an UDFA. Not an earth shattering group, but solid. Biadasz, Dieter and Edwards are really good starters in the league. The other guys are depth guys.
  24. This team could use some more eyebrows. So why not.
