My thing is that Dane is fine, just not as a starter for a team with Super Bowl aspirations. And if Tre isn’t 100% then you are in a real dire situation.

Perfect fit there for Mafe

Answering my own question, in his two full seasons in Carolina, Hardy played 76% of the snaps and 86% the following year, which was his best year. Now Hardy was a lot younger than Miller, and bigger. Charles Johnson was consistently in the 70s and lower to the 60s in later years. Can’t find the Trent Cole stats before 2012. Miller played in 76% of the snaps in Denver and 79% in LA. Imo, Miller should be in the 70s here as well.

So I don’t have the wherewithal to find this right now, but the last premier defensive end McDermott had was Greg Hardy. I am curious to know what his rotation looked like. Or perhaps Trent Cole with the Eagles. Did those guys rotate as much?

Here’s the thing, both Haden and Bradberry had down years, but they have long arms. So…. But anyway, one costs nothing and one costs a lot. Bradberry is way better than Haden at this point, but not like 10 million better. To me, the middle ground is Kyle Fuller.

Thanks @Virgil got stuck in meetings and these picks started to fly. Unfortunately I am not the boss lol
-
Ah you should make your employees wait like every other boss does. You got things to do. If we came away with Wilson and McDuffie, I would be satisfied. You would still have 4,5, and two sixes and a 7 for depth.

TSW Mock Draft 2.0 Poll - Who should the Bills take at 25?
MrEpsYtown replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah this is where I am at. In real life, if these QBs and freaking guards aren’t overdrafted, Wilson and McDuffie are gone, and I’m trading back with every once of effort. -
Bradberry is 33 3/8s Daryl Worley is 33 3/8s Tre White is 32 1/8th Howard is 31.25 Denzel Ward is 31.25 Marshon Lattimore is 31.25 Jaire Alexander is 31 1/8th Derek Stingley is 30 5/8s McDuffie is 29.75 McCreary is 28 7/8s Donte Jackson is 29.5 Yeah I understand what you are saying. It’s totally true.
-
Yeah I got you, and you are very likely right. I just hope they have learned from that, at least a little.
-
Hindsight being 20-20, that was the wrong move. Bradberry worked out for the most part, Worley and Sanchez did not. But when they picked Butler they passed on Xavien Howard who is elite. The Panthers went from 15-1 to 6-10. I am not saying that it is simply because the corner position, but they had a chance to draft an elite guy and they waited (Howard has short arms!). There is a big dropoff between the first few corners and those second round guys in this draft (in my opinion) and I think with the glaring hole there and and the fifth year option, they need that first round corner. You are getting a cheap, possibly elite guy for the length of White’s contract.
-
The other thing you can do @Virgil is just make the vote Wilson vs McDuffie and see what happens.
-
I agree with leaving McDuffie out. I think he would be the pick, but let’s say the Bills don’t like him…who knows? Its a great exercise. I’m with you @Virgil

Let's say the Beane doesn't love the board and Seattle calls wanting to jump the Lions and offer 40 and 41? Or a team like the Texans want to jump up and grab a QB and offer 37 and a future first? I think it depends on who is one the board, but in my mind I am targeting pick 32 with the Lions moving up a bit to take their guy so they can go BPA at 2.
-
Interesting. That would be a bit of a shock but makes sense. Could see an EJ Manuel type of trade down into the teens? Or do they have to stay in front of Carolina? I hope all the quarterbacks go early and allows the talent to fall.
-
Agreed. The Lions have been doing a lot of qb visits. And they are not taking one at 2. I kinda hope they would want to do a mini trade up to 25. Or a team who wants to jump the Lions from round 2. Or maybe the Bengals wanting to jump up for an o linemen.
-
If there is a mini run on receivers and McDuffie goes, there really isn't much left. I agree with both of you guys actually.
-
Well she is 74 years old now. So if there was ever a chance, it’s probably now! 😆😆
-
I think we like Stingley a lot. Based on no information and facts, just gut. If he makes it to the teens I think you have to try to jump. I also think we like McDuffie. Just when I watch his game, he is doing everything we would ask him to do in our scheme and doing it at a high level. If he makes it to 20, I could see a little move there. Booth seems to fit as well, at least in my opinion.
-
I don’t think teams think that way in the draft. I think they stay mostly self centered, and stick to their board, and if a trade is beneficial to us, then you do it. I don’t think you concern yourself with who is on the other line, imo. I think they stay in the first for the 5th year option, but I could see a scenario where they trade out to the 2nd. I am hoping a team like Detroit might want to move up for a QB.
-
I think the Bills trade up if Stingley or Gardner fall into the 12-15 range. That’s it imo. I don’t think they trade up for anyone else. Maybe a mini trade up for a next tier corner in the 22 area. That’s JMO. I don’t they would trade up for Jordan Davis, but if he’s there at 25 I think they take him. To me, the most likely scenario for the Bills is to stay at 25. Maybe trade down a bit but not out of the round. Then use picks to trade up to get multiple 2s or 3s. Like the year the traded up in the third and got Singletary and Knox. Or the time the traded up in the 2nd to get Dion and Zay Jones.
-
Just to add, I think Stingley is better than Gardner. Like a lot better. But the question/red flag is health.
-
With the 13th pick in the TSW mock draft 2.0, the Houston Texans select Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU. I have to be honest, I think Stingley might be the best player in the draft. He shut down the SEC as a true freshmen, then people just stopped throwing his way. The Lisfranc injury is concerning for a corner, but from all accounts he looked good at his pro day. He ran a 4.37 and jumped 38.5 on the vert. He is a technician, and if heathy, will be a top 5 corner right off the bat. With pick #3, I considered Walker, Gardner, Stingley, so I am surprised and ecstatic that he is here. Had a nice trade down opportunity but I had to stay put in this scenario. Imo, the Texans need to rebuild their defense with an edge player and a corner and I think Lovie Smith is going to push defense early on. The Ravens and @Alphadawg7 are now on the clock. Unfortunately, Zay Jones isn’t available 🤣😂🤣🤪

Deebo and AJ Brown Skipping Offseason Workouts
MrEpsYtown replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
AJ Brown for Cody Ford? A do over on that second round?
