  1. In his mock, I would have taken Booth. But really aside from Booth, all the corners are gone including Elam and all the receivers are gone including Burks and Dotson and there are no quarterback reaches. If that’s the case I think I would ok with the Hall idea. I really don’t love it, but I much prefer it to a guard or reaching on the next tier of corners.
  2. Yeah I know. A lot of people are acting like his word is truth. Not you dude. Didn’t mean for it to come off that way.
  3. Probably 2015 with Todd Gurley. Also his career is over.
  4. Albright also reported the Browns were taking Darnold. He’s been wrong and right, just like every reporter. Dude isn’t God’s gift to draft secrets.
  5. Yeah i agree in some ways. Lots of smoke there, but rumors like these come out all the time. Like the rumors about the 49ers being obsessed with Mac Jones last year, or that Matt Barkley was guaranteed to be a top ten pick and the Bills were infatuated with him. Or the much loved Ben Albright reporting that the Browns are 100% going to take Sam Darnold. The Hall stuff could be something or it could be complete BS. It’s 50/50.
  6. I think that is just becuase everyone knew Baker was goin to the Browns and that the Jets were gonna take Darnold. So it was 50-50. I know a few people guessed Rousseau. Its just crazy that they would telegraph this move in this way. Its weird.
  7. Nah nobody is gonna trade for those dudes. Using picks on those guys doesn’t make sense when there are a huge crop of guys in the draft. Only Doug Whaley trades picks for guys like Bryce Brown. Moss was inactive all season and Devin has been ok and in the last year of his deal.
  8. I’ll take McDuffie or Booth. I really like McDuffie, thinking the Bills like Booth so I voted Booth. He has everything they want.
  9. All these guys have some sort of flaw. So it comes to the balance of what you are willing to accept. Gardner has a ton of PIs and is skinny, Stingley had a bad injury and hasn't played for awhile, McDuffie has his short arms. I think it is all part of the evaluation. I don't think McDuffie's arm length will hurt him. He held his own against the Michael Pittman's etc of the world. Any how many huge monster wideouts are you really going to see during the year? There are only like 3 or 4 in the league. But, that does not change the fact that there are only a few short armed corners who start on the outside. The math and data is there. So the odds of him staying there are less, and that is where some of the risk lies in his possible selection. Is it because they never got an opportunity or they just weren't good enough? No one really know that. As far as comps, Trent McDuffie is Cortland Finnegan. I can't get that out of my brain. Similar size, length, and athleticism. Finnegan faster and slightly more explosive. McDuffie is just a bit bigger. Now Finnegan was a 7th rounder from a small school who was a draft steal. McDuffie's game is way more refined coming out. Finnegan was an outside corner for many years and finished career in the slot for McDermott and the 2015 Panthers.
  10. I love how the drivers turns on their wipers...like really? What's that gonna do?
  11. I saw somewhere that we met with Rachaad White like 4 times and we could be looking at him in the middle rounds. He is a big dude. Runs 4.48, can catch and run it and has got pro coaching with Herm Edwards, Brian Billick, and Marvin Lewis.
  12. I think Bradberry is out pretty much no matter what. I think he will struggle in that press man scheme. So he is miscast and expensive. He is the perfect pickup for us because he's a seasoned vet who is in his prime and can help us pursue a Super Bowl. I think a Bradberry move could go down on day 2 if the Bills miss out on all the top corners.
  13. I think there are 4 high tier guys. Then like 3-4 right under. Then the rest. I think they should aim for one of the top 4. Gardner, Stingley, McDuffie, Booth, you could include Hill if you project him at corner. Then the next tier is like Elam, Emerson, Woolen etc etc. Again all my opinion.
  14. It is interesting how "the lunch pail high motor guy" is always a white dude
  15. Awesome stuff @Virgil Thanks
  16. I think there is going to be way too many commercials and not enough analysis. I also predict that I will want to punch Trey Wingo very hard after about 35 minutes of cliche’ lame exaggerations and hyperbole.
  17. Yeah its funny. Elam has a ton of flaws in his game and he seems soft in some ways. McDuffie has all kinds of great measurable and intangibles and his knowledge and execution of zone concepts is excellent. He is also stronger and more explosive. Elams arms 30 7/8ths McDuffie 29.75 When all those boxes are checked, really is an inch going to be a dealbreaker?
  18. This is gold. Well done.
  19. Gotta be Breece Hall no?
  20. They aren’t rebuilding imo. Based on everything they are doing this offseason. They need a WR and a LT. They couldn’t afford Armstead who is always hurt anyway. Its actually a really good roster and Winston was playing well before he got hurt. They have a veteran line except a LT, they have Kamara, Mike Thomas, Marshon Lattimore, Cam Jordan, Marcus Davenport, they just signed Marcus Maye and they hired a new coach from within. That is not a rebuild.
  21. With the 25th pick in the 2022 draft the New Orleans Saints select Devonte Wyatt, DT, Georgia. NOLA needs and infusion of youth and upside in the interior of their defensive line and Wyatt adds a dynamic 3 tech for them to work with. While not necessarily a huge need, this makes them better and I did not want to reach for a LT. This is BPA. I do not think the Saints traded up to try and get a QB. I think they just want premier players and are planning to be competitive with Winston under center. All in all we added Olave, Wyatt, and Jordan Poyer so I like our rebuilt defense. Anybody have a left tackle anywhere? @frostbitmic and the Titans are now on the clock.
  22. I don't think they are necessarily targeting safety. I think they want a LT and WR. I couldn't get the LT after getting the receiver so I traded down. I like Hamilton, don't love him for the Saints, so I was able to get a very good safety to move down 6 spots. That was my thinking as NO GM here.
  23. It is the one position on the O line where it doesn't really matter. We have a center with 8.5 inch hands. Linderbaum's arms are slightly shorter than Alex Mack and a bit longer than Nick Mangold. Now is he small? Yep. Is arms the issue? Nope. It has more to do with weight and girth with him and how he deals with heavy nose tackles. I'll just add, with Lindy and McDuffie and guys like that, this is where NFL people get dumb and overthink it. Those guys are unbelievable. So you are gonna take some raw division 3 guy who never played against anyone because he has longer arms? It happens time and time again and is just wrong so many times.
  24. I love, love, love Linderbaum. I do not think they will take him, but I love him.
  25. Here is a little list i put together in another post. Now keep in mind that I love McDuffie and Stingley. I think mcDuffie was tailor made to play in this defense. Everything he does on film is what we do defensively. The arms don't bother me much because he is dynamic and super smart and a great tackler. The other thing is that the idea that he will struggle with bigger receiver is a projection. I really haven't seen it. James Bradberry is 33 3/8s Daryl Worley is 33 3/8s Tre White is 32 1/8th Xavien Howard is 31.25 Denzel Ward is 31.25 Marshon Lattimore is 31.25 Jaire Alexander is 31 1/8th Derek Stingley is 30 5/8s McDuffie is 29.75 McCreary is 28 7/8s Donte Jackson is 29.5 Byron Murphy is 30 1/8 In terms of wingspan, McDuffie is 72 3/8″. It's small, which I guess implies that he doesn't have super wide shoulders. Byron Murphy's wingspan is 71⅜. Donte Jackson is 71⅝. So I guess you could argue that his wingspan maybe helps him. To me what is important is what I see when I watch him play, and the RAS. Here is a useful chart showing all the corners: https://steelersdepot.com/2022/04/2022-draft-cornerback-prospects-relative-athletic-scores-ras/ I just love this dude. He oozes process. https://thedraftnetwork.com/articles/trent-mcduffie-film-nfl-combine-draft-skill-set
