  1. Maybe future RG? Sorry about the Jets Logo And just to torture myself: Turner: Will Hernandez:
  2. So apparently it was Kromer who was banging the table for Corbett in LA. When you look at the RAS, Ford is above average and Corbett is really good. Aside from a bad 3 cone and shuttle, the numbers on these two guys are closer than I thought. If Kromer truly believes that he can turn Ford into a serviceable player, I believe him, but I hope they have some insurance that isn't Mancz. If the Jets release Greg Van Roten, I think they will be all over that.
  3. I guess the tender probably means that either they are looking for an upgrade, or they are confident they can match any offer that isn't ridiculous.
  4. Chicago has the cap space and makes the most sense. I guess they added Lucas Patrick from the Packers to a 2 year 8 million dollar deal to play center apparently. If they add Bates, are they really going to pay more than 2/8? The Bears new GM is a line guy and they have people in their front office who heavily scouted Bates and got him to sign in Philly. But going from James Daniels to Ryan Bates is not an upgrade. I myself would have gone 2nd round tender.
  5. I am not too worried about him playing the RG spot. For Bates, he was primarily a left tackle in college, so it just may feel a little natural for him to play on the left side. I think center may actually be his best position. My concern with Bates playing the RG spot is the fact that he will be playing next to a relatively inexperienced RT in Brown. Ideally, Bates plays next to Dawkins and Brown plays next to Saffold. Saffold has played RG in the past, but the majority of his time has been spent at LG. I will say this...if Bates comes back and he becomes the starter at RG, it is great for him because he can just focus on playing one position. he doesn't have to worry about flipping sides or playing backup center. With his athleticism and his ability to adapt, being in one spot will be very good for him. Also, his experience at center gives him really good knowledge of the protections being called with Morse and Allen, so having two guys on the line wth that type of knowledge is great.
  6. I know he hasn't been very good in GB, but I think he would be better in our scheme. Not ideal, I want to draft a guy in the 1st. But a body with good size and speed.
  7. Zero chance of a comp pick.
  8. I don't think there is any chance whatsoever. On top of it, he will be a free agent after next year. Talk about a a wasted career. I would rather spend the time developing a younger guy in the draft. But right now, he is the starting RG, which is a problem.
  9. I would go down the Forrest Lamp road again. he is an interesting player with Athletic upside. Still young. He was in camp with us and pretty much hurt the entire time. But I have always been intrigued by the guy and he would come on at a minimum deal. If Bates goes, I would not hate a stopgap like a Trai Turner, who is only 28. I also like the upside of Will Hernandez. Swing tackle? I think they like Doyle. The best guy on the market is probably Germaine Ifedi. Good athlete, but has been pretty meh so far. A cheaper swing guy with experience is Josh Wells, former JAG and Buccaneer. But he has played quite a bit in spot duty. Corner wise I want Bradberry. Not sure if it's possible. I also like Kyle Fuller. But I would rather draft a young corner in the first. I still really like Kevin King. I have a thing for Washington Husky corners.
  10. The Hollister situation last year was weird to me. I thought he looked good and then he was cut and we played the entire season with pretty much no #2 tight end. Plus he had that connection with Josh. Good luck to him.
  11. The first round pick almost has to be a corner. McDuffie is the guy to me. But that probably requires a mini trade up. I think the value at LB is there in the 2nd. Maybe PSU's Smith or Andersen, Leo Chenal. Then I think you go IOL. Do not draft a guard in the first round. Please! Don't do it. Don't draft a receiver either. Drafting a corner right now is the move. White is under contract for 4 more years, during which time you could have a cheap 1st round corner playing on that rookie contract. When that 5th year option comes up, White will be a free agent. Hopefully things worked out with your new corner and that point you don't necessarily have to extend both. You extend the younger guy and rinse and repeat.
  12. Not a Crowder guy, but he is a good player and this deal is a steal
  13. Costco? Sam’s club?
  14. Plus he doesn’t have a stupid name 🙃🙃🙃
  15. If the Falcons are really going it full on re-build I am calling them on Chris Lindstrom yesterday. Speak it into existence!
  16. I like it. he will have a role on offense here. Still doesn't have that break away speed, but I guess he is a cheaper McKissic.
  17. I agree. So I don't think that Kenyon Green is going to wind up being in the conversation, but maybe.
  18. This is a useful chart to see RAS numbers on the guard prospects this year. Strange is the high RAS small school guy this year.
  19. Gotta love that late nineties goatee
  20. At least he turned into a draft pick!
  21. Marquez Stevenson giving it up? Keenum also wore 7 in college. Barkley I believe wore 7 in college but 5 in HS.
  22. Cheap cheap interior backup.
  23. Really bad lisfranc injury in the preseason. He may not be 100% for awhile
  24. My bad! I agree!
  25. He looked like one of those guys who wears a T shirt in the pool.
