  1. Sanders and Shakir looked good. Trubisky is what he is…a backup. offensive line did not look good on running plays. Davis had some flashes. Coleman disappeared- looked like a rookie on his first start. MVS dropped another pass. Smoot looked bad not setting the edge. CB Williams errors
  2. Doing this reminded me of another hero from the 716. Not an NFL player, A friend from my high school, Rob Funk. A Carnegie Hero’s medal recipient. Robert M. Funk Springville, NY Robert M. Funk died attempting to save persons from drowning, Port Colborne, Ontario, July 4, 1990. Wind and wave conditions, rougher than usual, combined to create a very strong undertow that threatened swimmers in Lake Erie, including a woman, 27, and a man, 32, who had taken a small dinghy into the water. They were separated from the dinghy and carried out by the undertow. Among those who responded to cries for help was Funk, 25, college student, who was on the beach with members of his family. Funk and three of his brothers immediately entered the water and began to swim toward victims of the undertow, as did others, including two men who rescued the woman with use of their raft. Arriving firefighters ran into difficulty as they attempted rescue activity; one of the firefighters drowned, as did the man who had been with the dinghy. Last seen en route to the victims, Funk submerged and drowned; he was recovered from the lake two days later. 😢
  3. Needed to give myself an upbeat turn after that loathsome list. my most admired: Jack Kemp 🇺🇸 Walter Payton
  4. Ray Lewis. Darren Sharper Lawrence Phillips. link to a pretty loathsome list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_professional_sportspeople_convicted_of_crimes
  5. Appreciate the response. I looked at that and noted “The full open practice schedule is available below”. are there no closed practices at St John ?
  6. So was yesterday no practice or closed practice? and Wednesday?
  7. I think Josh Allen gets this team to 10 -6. in the playoffs again. will be interesting to see, if by the end of the season we have new stars, that can take us far into the playoffs, or just a bunch of hard worker/solid players that get beat by the star players on other teams.
  8. What pops into my mind, is how much time coaches will have to spend on this guy just to get him up to the bare minimum of being able to play the position. kind of like getting a rugby star and trying to teach him to play running back. A lot of effort for a very small chance of return. would rather see a USFL or CFL “find”…
  9. Looking at the roster, the schedule, etc. The team needs to win early and often. Realistically with all the new WR’s & newish coordinator - I don’t see the offense carrying the team early. It may take a while to find the right pieces and to evolve an identity. I can see lots of 2 TE sets, passing in the middle, running the ball and grinding it out - while missing on long shots down the field (timing, familiarity, scheme fit). the defense will need to be ahead of the O and keep points off the board! After 6 or so games, things should start clicking on O and by then we are in the tough parts of the schedule and need that to stay in the playoff hunt. if Von looks the same, Milano is still recovering form, the safeties are meh, etc it will be a bad start, and in a hole by mid season. Needing Josh to go hero mode to save the season again. He will be banged up come end of the schedule, playoffs. what do you guys think about the start of season defense?
  10. I think Hamlin loses out this year. and based on 2 special teams gaffes from last year: a successful fake punt - pass to his side that he blew coverage on. and the Bills fake punt that he looked surprised on- and ran it nowhere, i think I’ve seen enough. a great sympathy / comeback story. But he’s just not good enough.
  11. Passed on Wingo for this JAG
  12. As was noted - dropping back to 40 is risky but adding a 3rd rounder should be the reward. Legette and Sweat would probably both be there at 40 and I would pick one and then trade up using next years extra second to try to get the other too!
  13. Was doing a mock draft and he was there in late 5th. i like him as a Josh Allen type of back up. Could play similar style to Josh if we ever needed a backup to step in a couple games. and sitting behind Josh a couple years…could develop into something special. what do you think?
  14. No. There is plenty of WR talent to be had in the first 3 rounds. i even like the Bills trading down a few spots in Rd 1 and getting more picks… plus using the extra second from next year to move into the 3rd. give me 2 of: Xavier Legette, Ricky Pearsall, Roman Wilson, Ladd McConkey, Jermaine Burton. and grab Luke McCaffrey later ….
  15. my head says that is a lot to give up for a non-QB. But my heart says to give Josh a lethal weapon and we are SB bound! Follow the heart and win now - pay up later.
  16. With Franklin coming for a visit, I thought the Bills were high on him…but now I think with him testing poorly, they want to see what is there (or not). So I liked the possibility of him as a pick. lately have been more intrigued by Legette!
  17. trade down our first round pick, for a DT (eyes roll) , and an extra pick, but in the end it turns out a good move: What do you think? DT T’Vondre Sweat, Texas WR Troy Franklin, Oregon CB Max Melton, Rutgets S Kamren Kinchens, Miami (Fl.) C Hunter Nourzad, Penn State RB Auric Estime, Notre Dame WR Johnny Wilson, Florida State EDGE Myles Cole, Texas Tech G Mason McCormick, South Dakota State DT Logan Lee, Iowa http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2024/03/buffalo-bills-7-round-mock-draft-trade-back-lands-mammoth-dt-speedy-wr.html
  18. I like these solid signings. Not superstars but solid. it gives me hope the Bills will move up and draft Brian Thomas WR in round 1.
  19. Just for fun, playing GM for a day. results: A run stuffing DT, 2 great WRs, a stud safety, a promising QB who can mimic Josh, and a speed Edge. had to do several trades, that reduced the total number of picks but got the first 3 picks that I wanted… what are others getting?
  20. Were we talking about Von Miller? 😂
  21. Looked like Von Miller…..just sayin’
  22. If the Bills win, then they have One less day of rest on the calendar for the next game, BUT : they are playing at home so they don’t have a travel day to contend with….seems to me it evens things up😊
  23. On the broadcast they said Johnson was a concussion
  24. I am disappointed that Von Miller is active. drives me nuts seeing him play so badly…and I can’t stop watching that train wreck 😩 maybe I’ll try putting a piece of tape over him on the TV , so can enjoy the rest of the D dominating LOL
  25. Joe Brady needs to win this game (and make a statement doing so) to build his reputation as an up and coming OC. He needs to coach up the game of his life and I’m sure he knows that. Miami needs to get our A game tomorrow night , and the O had better be ready.
