Washington @ Philadelphia - NFC Championship Game thread
Billsfanatic8989 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Does anyone team left have better CB's, DL, RB, receivers, and OL? Neither us or the Chiefs can match them except QB. But it may not come down to Hurts. Especially if they get a lead. To clarify, just because they are better doesn't =win. -

Eagles are either the best team in football. Or, they've played three teams they are significantly better than. And the SB will be a different animal. It may not come to this. But what happens if they are down 10 against an elite QB on the other side. What will Hurts do? Regardless, they may very well be favoriin SB. -

If Philadelphia plays clean football, I'm not sure any team can beat them. They have the best RB, receivers, DL, OL, CB's. But as we know, playing turnover free football is easier said than done. -
Is the AFC Championship the "actual" Super Bowl??
Billsfanatic8989 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
This isn't like 49ers/Cowboys from the 90's. Where the NFC title game was the real Super Bowl. Everyone knew the winner of that game would stomp the AFC team. If not favored, the Eagles would be no more than 2 point underdogs in the big game. I think they are the best overall team. Best RB. Best receivers. Best OL and DL. Best CB's. The Bills could beat them. But it would take great coaching and turnovers on D to get it done. Best team in 2024 I presume you mean? There have been way more dominant SB champions. 72 Dolphins. 85 Bears. 90's Cowboys. 89 49ers. -
Dalton Kincaid- why so underwhelming this season?

The WR and TE personnel leaves alot to be desired. Every team remaining has a stud receiving threat. Kelce, AJ Brown and Scary Terry. -
How aggressive do you want McDermott to be on Sunday?
Billsfanatic8989 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hope the team has a two point play in their pockets that nobody will see coming. Like a Philly special type play. It can't be as simple as running Allen up the gut. The other option is a fake xp attempt. Pretend you are going for one and go for two. But chances are Allen isn't a part of that play. -
How do we know this? What if NE gets it together with Vrabel. And suddenly makes noise? What if Denver gets even better. Chargers? Bengals will be better. Tomorrow will tell us alot.

Bolded is where I think the big issue is. In terms of not getting to the SB. Even last week, in a win, I was unimpressed with the lack of killer instinct from the team. I like the man. I appreciate the turnaround. But we need to start seeing SB appeareances here.

Wouldn't be surprised if he takes over the OC spot from Brady. Allen doesn't need a great OC. Just a competent one. Stroud isn't Allen. He needs way more hep.

AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
Billsfanatic8989 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Everyone is basing the Bills winning on what KC has not done offensively this year. But I still wouldn't be surprised if they go up and down the field on the D. Score maybe 38 points. Whenever they've had to put the foot on the gas peddle, they have. -
This is a critical loss we couldn't afford

I certainly hope Bishop doesn't get picked on in this game. You know they will be going his way.

We are better than the Chiefs. But Baltimore was also better than us going in. Too much comes into play like officiating, coaching, a fumble here, a pick there. I'm not confident. Maybe a 4/10

Legitimate Concern With Officiating This Weekend?
Billsfanatic8989 replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is the biggest thing. Without Swift, KC is a small market Without much fan fare. The league would want larger markets in the game. With Swift...the Chiefs have the appeal they otherwise would not have. -
The AFC Championship game is not sold out yet
Billsfanatic8989 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probably fatigue from hosting so many playoff games. This is the 6th AFC title game they've hosted in 7 years. Maybe they expect to win this game and are waiting to spend money on SB tickets. You would expect it still to be sold out though. They averaged 73k during the season. -

I can just see it now. Chiefs have the ball. Down 30-28. 4th and 3 at midfield. 20 secobds left. Mahomes throws a 30 yard pass for Kelce that ends up out of his reach. During this time, Kelce throws the CB down. Both the CB and Kelce fall. Ref calls PI on Bills. Chiefs run it down to two seconds. Kicker hits both uprights somehow. The ball falls through. Chiefs 31-Bills 28 A LB could destroy him with a huge hit so he doesn't try it again. Would be worth the flag if it's early enough. -
Bills fans Super Bowl 25 watch party
Billsfanatic8989 replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
Watching that on TV or live would be....ugh. A very bad feeling. I always thought the offense didn't do enough to get in closer fg range. 47 yards on grass was a long kick at that time. Not easy. Turning point of the game was when Ingram on the Giants broke tackles to get the 3rd down. Or, Giants QB not losing the ball on the safety. One tackle or one ball coming loose would have made everything different. -
I’m very happy with how far we made it.
Billsfanatic8989 replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
He also had way more weapons than Allen. And a D with legit pass rushers. Meaning...it was only a matter of time until they broke through with that roster. Unfortunately, we don't have a roster like that. I agree. The Patriots made those division wins count by winning several SB's. The Bills have yet to do that. -

It depends. If it's a clean game that ends in a 21-18 lossor something, McD is good in my book. If Allen is great. The D is bad. And we lose 44-39 or something, yeah I want him gone. It's not just one game at this point. How much longer can you allow another organization to shred your D in the postseason. Especially when you are pretty much the DC? You can't be a defensive HC and consistently have your season end with YOUR D getting shredded. -
Until I see Allen taking a knee (win) in KC, my answer is no. At this level, against these particular coaches, I don't believe in these coaches. Just from what I've seen against them before and overall. To note, I do believe in Allen. And McD CAN outcoach Reid. I have to see it first. IF they get by KC, my answer is yes. They slay the dragon, there is alot of confidence going against one of these NFC opponents.
