WGR-550 Dust-up Today: Schopp vs. Capaccio!

Next years schedule involved the AFC west, and NFC west. Good chance our record will be worse then our talent would deserve. So enjoy the easy schedule this year! -

Were the time outs the reason they lost? I thought lindell made the unofficial field goals right before the time outs were called? -
Philly fans really are the worst

My hatred of the patriots outweigh my love for the Bills. I'm grateful for any team that ends up beating them! -

I was just trying to make conversation. It was my "Welcome to Buffalo, greeting." Eagles fans came here, because they heard the tailgating is the best in the NFL. So many Eagles fans complemented us on that. So I returned the favor.... Geez -

The Eagles fans around me weren't bad. It probably helped, that I greeted them all by saying "Thank you for beating the Patriots in the Super bowl." -
I feel he would most like to come here, to beat the team that prematurely put him on IR. Not that he has a choice, but if the Bills pick him up, he is playing!

How many linemen this year, are the same from Rex Ryan? Maybe Jerry Hughes? That's it I think. None of these offensive linemen have played together before this year, and I'm sure still have more chemistry to build. Our defensive line has definitely been applying more pressure on the opposing team's QB than Rex ever was able to accomplish.

WGR-550 Dust-up Today: Schopp vs. Capaccio!

Of course I heard of it. I was trying to say, that I think running up the score, helps the development of your players, and sustained success. -
What "type" of fan are you? Coming clean

I started learning about football during the Rob Johnson, Vs. Doug Flutie years. I remember getting excited when the bills took the lead over the Tennesee Titans in 1999, "knowing" that the bills just broke a 4 year drought of not winning a playoff game. In the seasons that followed, I would go to about 1 game a year, until 2007, when I became a season ticket holder. While I haven't been to every game since, I have been to about 80 or the last 100 regular season home games. I really don't follow the draft unless we are in the market for a QB, WR, or RB. I know the trenches are most important. If we are in the market for linemen, I'm usually learning about that player the day of the draft. I love fantasy football, and I even sometimes play players on my team, that are playing against the bills if I think it makes sense. That being said, I'm not the guy in the stands cheering because my fantasy player scored a touchdown against the Bills. I will never do that, and think anybody that does, should rip their bills jersey off. My fantasy teams, and I'm in multiple leagues, are consolation prizes in case the bills are having a down year. If the bills win, my fantasy teams can lose for all I care. -

Then, why do any teams bother with running up the score? You know, the teams that are usually in the playoffs year after year. Apparently the fans of the team that never makes the playoffs, know what's more important than the coaches and players of the teams that are in the playoffs almost all the time..... -

How did it fare? THEY WON THE SUPER BOWL. They went from the high scoring playoff games the 2 weeks prior, to winning a defensive struggle in the Super Bowl. His running up the score over the years, has given him plenty of experience in knowing how to make plays in any situation without costing his team. They don't win the super bowl every year, but they are in the top 4 every year. Really good teams, are able to win games, and have a positive point differential at the end of the year. This goes into the people who say "I don't care how we win, just win." I'm sorry in the long term, how you win matters too. -
WGR-550 Dust-up Today: Schopp vs. Capaccio!

I do like Mike Schopp most of the time, but he was ridiculous in this segment. Sal knew he was talking crazy, and really called him out on it. I really disagree that trading up in drafts is wrong all the time. Especially if you can do it without trading away next year's 1st round pick. -
I think he's done looking inward after 3 super bowl trips, and two Wins. Somehow someway, every single NFL franchise has had multiple losing or .500 seasons over the last 19 years, except the Patriots who haven't even had 1. How is this possible? That not once, could a collection of 13 teams on a patriots schedule not be able to find a way to beat the patriots enough to force them into a losing season. There are just that many incompetent coaches in the NFL, that are incapable of bringing out the best in their players. The Patriots are doing something different, and I want more players like Gilmour to come out and explain how this is possible.

I believe everything Gilmore says here. For 19 seasons this team has dominated the NFL. They don't always win the superbowl, but they are almost always 1 of the final 4 teams. It has to be coaching. Some how, their receivers are always open, regardless of a pick play or not. Their defenses dominate when Tom Brady is having a less then steller day. The fact that teams are unable to give new England 1 losing season for the last 19 years, is an indication of how bad the coaching is on most of the other NFL teams. That nobody can figure out what Belichick does, to consistently start beating him. Mainly the Bills, Jets and Dolphins. I hope McDermott is able to beat the patriots soon.

The browns have a very easy schedule coming up. They could probably win 5 or 6 of their next 7 games. The bills would probably have the same record as the browns, if they played the NFC west this year. Something the bills should take note of this offseason, as we play them next year. The only difference is week 1 against the Titans, but that could have been a fluke. It obviously was a fluke for Tennesee at least. I really feel the Bills vs. Browns game will be the closest game the bills play all year. Not just in points, but in overall play.

Drew Bledsoe debate topic
wagon127 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can remember the 2002 offseason. Ticket sales were abysmal going into that year. I wonder if the team would have survived in Buffalo if they didn't make that move. It could be our team in LA instead of St. Louis. Unfortunately, I believe this is what threw us into the draught. Instead of just tanking, and getting Carson Palmer in the draft the following year, or a top 3 QB in 2004. We spent the next 15 years making moves to just generate buzz and hype, as opposed to building a solid foundation on the team. So many seasons between 6 and 9 wins, instead of doing what was necessary. -
I expect more too. 10-6 or 11-5 will be a damn good record by the end of the year. I believe that is the next stage of the process. If that's not good enough for you, come March is another free agency with lots of cap room to improve this team some more. Most of the players on this team have never had a 10 or 11 win season in the NFL. You can't expect them to win every game.

Exactly, The 1st apology was only 3 days ago though. Very few people would have known about the original issue with serving at a detention center, if they never apologized in the first place. No matter where you stand on ICE, you have to agree with that.

The Hammer Lot is the best for tailgating, I'm there every week. But I've never heard anybody say its the best lot for getting Easy in and out. Its honestly probably the worst, since its not meant to be. Its for people making it an all day festival.
