Watching the Ravens/49ers game, two of the best teams in the league, gave me the confidence that the Bills are FINALLY one of the NFLs top teams!  So, while we are capable of beating Baltimore next week, do we want to?? Hear me out.....

Beating the Ravens gives them 3 losses.  Patriots are the first seed with 1.  Bills would still have the 5th seed for the playoffs, whether we win or lose.

When -WHEN - the Bills beat the cheaters in 3 weeks, they will have two losses, and lose the tie breaker with Baltimore for the #1 seed in the playoffs.  This is HUGE.

We want NE to miss the Super Bowl or else they will tie the Bills amazing record of 4 straight SBs!!!!!!!!

The Pats would then have to play Kansas City (most likely) in the second  round of the playoffs.  That's a much harder game than say, Houston or the Steelers.  For the AFC championship game, they would then, maybe, travel to Baltimore, rather being guaranteed home field advantage, where those cheaters have an unbelievable win record.

The Bills on the other hand, will likely meet the Ravens in the second round of the playoffs.  It's hard to beat a good team twice.  We can use this first game as a learning experience, and not show our hand, even setting the Ravens up for our second meeting.

Now that's some 5 dimension chess right there!!!

This is the worst post ever written. Have the bills beat the ravens next week. Have the chiefs beat the patriots at 4:30, and then we get the #1 seed ourselves. Whats wrong with you?

What other games are an option? I don't know how big this game would really be outside of Buffalo and Pitts? Houston & Tenn is a divisional game and could have divisional implications depending on what happens tonight (and next week). Looking at the schedule that week, I don't see anything else that may have playoff implications to it so I'd say there's a good chance it's one of those 2

Seahawks vs. Panthers, but fox might want to keep it for a 4:25 slot to replace rams cowboys.

  3. Were people talking about New England a ton after beating Dallas? I didnt think so. It seemed Dallas was talked about as much as they are today. Its more fun to talk about teams that are supposed to be good, but strugggle, then talk about who actually wins. This message board would be even busier if the Bills lost yesterday. WGR would get more phone calls. Believe me, plenty of NFL shows are talking about buffalo. Plenty of articles online talking about buffalo.

Lets just say Bills win out as crazy as that sounds.

Pats* win all games except Bills up to week 17.

Pats* have to play starters and win against Miami.

If not they have a 4-2 Division record and Bills a 5-1.

Forget Andy Dalton, Fitzmagic would be a GOD in Buffalo.

    LOL

This is what i see happening. Fitzmagic coming through for us one more time in week 17! The Pats dont need to lose to anybody else in this scenario, just lose to the dolphins and the bills.

  5. Every game on an NFL schedule is important. AFC games are a little more important then NFC games, but not by much. Division games are a little more important then other AFC games, but not by much. In this case, the Ravens are a much better team then the cowboys, so i think its more important to win today. I also dont think the bills will have to worry about tie breakers this year, unless new england blows their division lead somehow.

You wouldn't know it from the national media outlets.   Wow.  I realize we are talking the media's beloved Cowboys and WNY is the smallest market in the league, but geez, total crickets.

Ive heard tons of chatter. I haven't watched sportscenter in years, but stuff like the CBS, FOX, and NBC pregame shows on sundays talk about buffalo alot. There are tons of articles all over the internet talking about this game. WGR talked with tons of national people throughout the last 3 days about the game, giving their input. Seriously. What show did you watch that didnt talk about the bills?

As far as I'm concerned with #1, they can do away with Thursday night games. At least with Sunday & Monday games, they have close to a week to recoup & prepare.

As with the old school days, yeh it was though, but they played 12 games then.

I'm honestly curious, how realistic do you think it is that the NFL cancels Thursday Night football. Especially after signing a huge TV deal with fox over a year ago.
