They took a timeout and the play never happened. I wonder if there's a caveat in the rules that stipulate whether 12 men in the huddle can be a penalty in an instance where there's no play? I noticed this also. it was clearly marked down at the 8, then the "half the distance" penalty moved it to the 6. It reminded me of the play against the Pats when John Brown got the ball down to the 1, and the refs placed it at the 2 for 1s and goal.

No, but he deserved to be mentioned as a finalist, amougst the best special teams players of all time.

Michael Irvin shouted out post game on Thursday night football, when they announced that the special teams finalists would be revealed the following day, "that better include Steve Tasker!"

Glad they're wearing white not black this week. -
Week 14 Uniform watch Ravens At Bills

Forcing the Ravens to wear white is a good move! The ball sticks out a lot more against white jerseys than it does against black! -
What % do you think we have a chance of winning?
Motorin' replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm going to the game, coming in from out of town, and expect our chances right around 30%. I'm ok if we don't win, even if we get blown out. Of course I want the Bills to win, but a bad loss isn't going to spin me out into "The Bills are the worst 9-4 team in history" mode. If the Bills win, it will be a close one, 27-24. They have to generate some turnovers, and control the clock with long drives. Keep LJ off the field as much as possible and force 1-2 mistakes. -
They sacked Lamar 4 times. They got the lead and forced him to throw, and picked him off twice. Chubb broke a run for about 90 and a TD, and Mayfield threw for about 350.

Who would be our Steve Bartman or Bill Buckner
Motorin' replied to bighorn_zilla's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's no doubt it's wide right... Anyone else notice the Cowboys missed a 47 yard fg wide right on Thursday? -
That offense is sustainable, but his health is not. The unfortunate thing for him is that it only takes being caught one time to end up in the protocol. I do think that he is a very good passer, and they will transition to a Seahawks style of play ala Russell Wilson as time goes on.

How did we lose to the Eagles?
Motorin' replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are other games where teams ran on us successfully. The common thread of the Browns and Eagles losses is that the Bills abandoned their running game. The Eagles ran the ball 41 times. We ran it 12 times with our RB's. They won Time of Possession by almost 12 mins. Against the Browns we only ran the ball with our RB's 14 times We ran the ball 47 times against the Broncos (36 with our RB's) and 34 times against Dallas, 24 with the RB's... We cannot abandon the running game! -
Do the "look at me" actions of Shaq and Oliver bother you?
Motorin' replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No he didn't. He didn't celebrate until after the ref blew the whistle and signaled play over. If you want to pretend that didn't happen, then sure, Tre almost cost us the game. And Dallas almost made 2 fg's and a TD before their last score, so they almost won. -
Yes, but the offense is also doing much better over the last 2 games where they have committed to the running game.

Josh Allen: Stats Through 11 Games (2018 vs. 2019)

I think it's significant that he's had an almost 15% increase in passing yards. -

Jerry Sullivan on our podcast: Anecdote about McDermott
Motorin' replied to gomper's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Buffalo media for the most part is bush league. Not a press conference has gone by in the last 20 years where some sad man hasn't acted out a lame attempt at psychoanalysis with question after about validation and the assumption of inferiority. The Patriots in particular mine the Buffalo media and have gotten countless Intel on team reads / calls ect. because the dumb ass reporters have demanded players and coaches "prove" their competency with specific examples of in play calls. I feel sorry for McDermott having to stand there day after day dealing with such idiocy. East Germany? McDermott is like the Stasi? Get out of here Sullivan. You are a sad sad man. -
Can the Detractors Now Admit Allen's Growth?

Different era, and it doesn't count because my mind is made up... Joe Flacco and Nick Foles have as many rings as Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees. -
Can the Detractors Now Admit Allen's Growth?
Motorin' replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There seems to be a vocal group of fans that do not believe in the concept of development. They keep saying "you either have it or you don't." There's no guarantee that any QB will develop into a starter/ elite player. But there is a possibility that anyone who finds himself under center in the NFL can grow into starting caliber. There's also at least 6 super bowl winning qb's that had either poor or mediocre years for their first 2-4 seasons who went on to win it all. But the proponents of "you either have it or you don't" trip all over themselves to discount each any every example... I'm willing to give Allen through his 5th season... Eli Manning had a bad 4th year, and then the Giants won it all in his 5th year because they built a championship team around him during that time. Blowing things up ever 3 years is a recipe for a 20 year playoff draught. -
Is Dawson Knox the 3rd best receiver on the team?
Motorin' replied to Motorin''s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it's valid to say he should be the #3 coming into the game. I think Daboll is switching out packages too frequently to try and be complicated, when the offense needs consistency.
