  1. There's a world of difference between an honest evaluation of the positive and negative of Daboll's game such as yours, and the drunken rage filled vitriol expressed by a number of posters demanding Daboll be fired last Sunday for his performance against Washington. The next 8 games are going to tell us a lot about a number of things. None of us really know who is going to improve and rise to the occasion, and who is going to regress. I'm excited to see how it all plays out, and we have the entire off season to talk about the next steps the team needs to make to improve. What I'd like to see from Daboll is more consistency in his play calling, exploit what is working and getting the ball more into the hands of Smoke, Motor, Bease. I'll wait until the end of the season to makeup my mind whether I think the Bills should bring Daboll back.
  2. I find a big difference between analyzing as as mechanism to identify strengths and weaknesses with an eye towards discussing solutions, and analyzing in order to place blame and exact punish as a form of satisfaction. Love reading people's takes when it's the former... The later is repellent like vomit.
  3. Exactly, and there's a world of difference between talking about where your footbll team needs to improve, and obsessing only on the negative as a defense mechanism to protect your feelings from being hurt if the team doesn't exceed your unrealistic expectations. I for one am enjoying watching the improvements this season, and am looking forward to talking about the next steps to move forward even further in the off-season. You know, when it's the off-season. I think there's a few too many people that are so used to taking about who the new coach should be and posting mock drafts this tine of year that they don't know what to do with themselves.
  4. It would have happened a lot sooner if not for the hamstring injury. I'll give the coaching staff the benefit of the doubt and assume they were being cautious, knowing they need Motor for the second half of the season.
  5. The reason why I posted the thread was to get a general consensus of where the board is at in terms of patience and process. The majority have none, and would blow up a team on the cusp of winning a Super Bowl because it fits the 3 and done ***** show that Ralph Wilson seemed to have conditioned them into demanding. I see huge strides forward from last year to this year, and think that we have an opportunity to take big strides forward over the next few seasons. But the majority prefer the satisfaction of seeing people fired, it gives some kind of satisfaction.
  6. These are Eli Manning's first 4 years. He won the Super Bowl the next year.

  8. I'm thinking Belichick didn't like that he couldn't, or wouldn't, play through bruises. If there are no personal problems to be found, I think the Bills should at least bring him in for an interview.
  9. Well, Brady is the best at moving in the pocket to neutralize the pass rush. So his guys can get beat, but he steps up and makes his throws.
  10. Who would you rather have as your QB in the 4th Quarter needing a long TD drive to win the game, Allen or Trubisky?
  11. I'm more concerned with only having 2 RB's going into a game in bad weather. Can McKenzie play RB?
  12. Anyone else watch the end of the Saints V. Texans game and wonder why in the hell the Texans' defender #22 would fall on the Saints wr with 2 seconds left? Am I missing a rule or something? Wouldn't the last 2 seconds have ticked off had he not touched him? Or would the Saints bench be able to call TO
  13. Nobody is forgetting about the O-Line. It's one of the the biggest question marks and weaknesses of the team right now. There's at least two reasons why Allen makes the O-line better, or at least more effective. 1. The D can't stack the box due to Allen's long ball threat. Not only does this open up the run game, but stacking the box against Peterman also defends against his greatest strength, which is quick hitters overs the middle. (And his his throws to the sideline are a Pick 6 waiting to happen.) 2. Allen has better pocket mobility than Peterman to extend the play, and greater arm strength to deliver into tight windows down field late in the play. Allen should start Game 3. Short of catastrophic failures, like 6 INT's, or four straight 3 & outs, the starting QB position should be Allen's to lose. However, the O-Line needs to be the biggest area for upgrade ASAP. Camp cuts, maybe a trade, and definitly heading into next years off seasons plans. I will say that I am encouraged about Peterman's ability to be a long term #2. He seems like a team player who will do whatever it takes to help the team win. Even if that means being an assistant coach to Allen on the sidelines, and coming in in relief.
  14. Watching Bills pressers over the last decade, one constant is the totally lame tactics of the Buffalo media. These sorry excuses for journalists never miss an opportunity to play arm chair psychoanalyst to try to stir up ****. Its almost like they've forgotten, or never learned how to actually cover the GAME. How many times does Chris Brown or some other jerk need to ask if Bills players feelings are validated? It would be amazing to hear Belichick respond to the dumb ass questions the Buffalo media poses over an over. Check out how inane they come off when when you remove most of Tre White's responses and the journalists become the subject of the video:
  15. Teddy Bridgewater
  16. So if I'm understanding you correctly, you're trying to say that Tyrod Taylor is not a better QB than Tom Brady? I'm sorry, I don't know how you could have possibly come to that conclusion all on your own?
  17. Zen and the Art of Bills Fandom, a Christmas Poem by Jack Handey Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The Pats were up 20, late in the game. The Jets sucked ass, and the Titans were lame (we need them to beat Rams and lose to the Jags, damn it). The jerseys were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that the playoffs soon would be there. The children were nestled all snug in their beds, with visions of failure filling their heads. When up on the board there arose such a clutter, I sprang from the couch to see what was the matter. Post after post I clicked like a flash, the self-hatred and rage burned our team to ash. This is where the Art of Zen plays its role, because Buffalo Bills fans lack emotional control. When the Ravens win out, and Gronk kicks our ass, take a deep breathe cause were in for a gas. On the last day of the NFL season, some old friends will give hope a reason. And even if Beast Mode and St Doug do fail, there's no reason to turn on your pals. Chill the !@#$ out and enjoy the ride, step away from the ledge... wear your Bills' gear with pride. No matter what happens this Christmas Eve, we're still in the hunt, and that's more than any of us thought this team would achieve.
