  1. It's clear to me that the process McD preaches has several stages. He has achieved a major step, establishing a culture and roster that is playoff caliber. In 2 of his first 3 years the Bills are in the playoffs. After last year's 6-10 season, it would be extremely unrealistic for fans to expect or demand a "championship caliber team" this year. And yet, playing the top 2 teams in the AFC late in the season (Ravens and Pats) the Bills were within one score and had the ball in scoring position late in both games. There are clear improvements the team needs to make to move from playoff caliber to championship caliber, and the fact that those needs are clear is an amazing accomplishment! I am so encouraged that the next 3-5 years of Bills football is going to put the team in position to compete for the Super Bowl. At the same time, the number of delusional fans that expect the team to be championship caliber this year, and call for the firing of McD, or Daboll or Allen, well. In my opinion, you all deserve another 20 years of musical chairs at head coach and qb, and another 2 decade playoff drought... Maybe you can buy a billboard that calls for Josh Allen to be cut if it makes you feel like you have power? As for me, I'm looking forward to talking about ways to improve, to talk about what the Bills can do to make that transition from playoff caliber to championship caliber. But I don't have the need to have a public crucifixion after a Bills loss, to call for blood to satisfy my inability to accept disappointment... I'm looking forward to the playoffs, and I'm excited to see what adjustments the coaching staff makes to get better themselves. But I'm not expecting a championship this year, and that's ok. Because the Bills aren't championship caliber yet. And that's ok.
  2. I think you should do a poll every week for the next five years.
  3. Let us know when Pegs taps you to make roster moves!
  4. Yeldon would be a good compliment at this point.
  5. We needed that time out. Need to hold to a fg here.
  6. He's put great touch on two deep passes this game!!! More of that!!!!
  7. Josh needs to improve his game when we get across the opponents 50. We give up way too many fg opportunities. Need to capitalize better.
  8. The New England offense looks like the late 80's NY Giants. Big bodies manhandling the line of scrimmage, power running, short play action passes. They're going old school.
  9. So many little things in that game... The catch that Smoke made and got tackled on the 1 yard would have been a TD if the Bills hadn't have taken a delay of game penalty the play before. Then the refs spot the ball at the 2, instead of the 1... Tomorrow is going to take every inch to win.
  10. Josh has only thrown 3 INT's since the Pats game, 12 weeks ago. We need to protect the ball on all fronts, no strip sacks and fumbles to give them a short field!
  11. Getting Harry back next year, you gotta love the depth on the D-Line.
  12. I'm pretty sure the Bills see Taylor and are using him as a 1 Technique. He has more of a long term potential to replace Star.
  13. I hope he can get in Jerry's head on this point, and help keep him cool when it happens.
  14. Daboll needs to game plan short, quick routes against 0 coverage. Waiting on intermediate to long routes to develop killed the Bills against Baltimore.
  15. Jonathon Jones is ruled out, and Jason McCourty may not play either. They've had 4 solid cb's in man coverage all year, but with 2 down they may have to adjust their scheme. Or there may be a liability to exploit.
  16. It's interesting that they also mention the play of Vincent Taylor. I only him on one play, but holy ***** did he single handedly blowup Pouncey and their attempt to run up the middle.
  17. It's funny, in the past whenever I've heard Belichick talk about playing the Bills, I got the sense that he knew our team better than our coaches do. I don't get that sense anymore.
  18. Neil O'Donnell, Bubby Brister, Mike Tomczak, Jim Miller, Kordell Stewart, Tommy Maddox... Bill Cowher got a crack at 6 starting QB's before landing Big Ben. I prefer a head coach with the goal of building a championship TEAM over the goal of developing a franchise qb.
  19. I think the poor TO's have usually come when the offense can't get their crap together. More an issue of a young QB / young OC combination.
  20. It's interesting that Josh Allen was mocked in the Boston media for being a "wimpy baby quarterback" after shot he took to the jaw. Does this game have a sort of Rocky III rematch feel to it to anyone else?
  21. Tickmaster sells "resale" tickets also, so Bills fans could theoretically invade Houston by buying up tix that Texan fans are trying to make a quick buck on.
  22. If you watch many Pats games, Belichick does the thing each week. On the first few drives of games he stares across the field watching the signals the team is using, Ernie Adams, their cheating coordinator is in his ear, and he writes down what signals are what formation ect. on a note card in his pocket. They're stealing signals week in and week out. And he's a total moron. He tries to get out of the situation by lying and saying he doesn't have a computer so he can get the files back once he deletes them. But all you need is a computer and you can recover deleted files from any camera. And he knows that, because every videographer in the world has accidentally deleted files and knows that file recovery software for cameras exist for the very reason.
  23. I thought it was encouraging to see a lot of quick routes on the first couple drives. Could have used them all game against the Ravens. That bizarre series with the attempted pass by Gore was terrible play calling. But in a game like this, it's ok to play for fg's because you trust your D to shut them down.
