  1. When I was about 12, out trick or treating on Halloween, a local news crew was setup at my neighbor's house. They held us back and then cued us to run to the door and ring the bell. They told us to watch the news at 11pm. When we watched the segment, they reported "Live from ...". All my illusions that the media exists as a truth telling institutions were shattered right then and there. I guess I'd be more concerned with the media's portrayal of the virus if there weren't armed men flying confederate flags occupying state capitals comparing stay at home orders to the Final Solution. The virus is real. Rational people can disagree about the what they think the best course of action is. But there's a whole lot of irrationality at play, and dangerous people screaming about civil war.
  2. Sorry bro. The media does not control me. You're talking to a fictitious character you've built up in your head.
  3. If anyone is whistling past the graveyard, it's the people who refuse to look at the overall rise in death rates while still calming CV19 is no more deadly than the flu.
  4. And I could see hospitals attributing deaths to covid 19 when it wasn't the cause too. There are tools to reality check, as it were. The daily death rate in NYC is 300% more than normal. And in many parts of the country, the daily death rate is 30%-60% higher than normal. I mean, maybe it's all part of the globalist, Bill Gates / George Soros grand jewish conspiracy... But the truth is probably that NYC has the highest death rate because it had the highest infection rate, and it had the highest infection rate because more infected people traveld there sooner than any other place in the country. The math says that it takes the same amount of time for 1 infected person to infect 1,000 people as it takes 1,000 people to infect 100,000 people. And as much time for 100,000 people to infect 100,000,000 people as it take 1 person to infect 1,000 people... The lockdown went into effect around the same time in many places, and a lot of those regions were a month behind the total # of infections that NYC had. And there's a lot of people who won't believe something is real until it effects them personally. I don't get my news from CBS. And if CBS and CNN have agendas and turn out BS journalism, it doesn't prove that coronavirus is BS too. Two things can be true at the same time. CBS and CNN can lie for their own purposes, and corona virus can be a real pandemic. It's not mutually exclusive.
  5. You don't believe 70,000 Americans have died from coronavirus over the last 6-8 weeks?
  6. The argument is that it was Brady's greatness over 20 years, not Belichicks. Let's see if Bill can win one without him.
  7. The big difference is that Brown, Walsh and Shula had their qb's for 10 years. Belichick had Brady for 20.
  8. The counter point is that he had the greatest qb of all time for 20 years in the passing era. Let's see what he can do without Brady.
  9. Paul Brown won 7 championships. Totally different area, pre-merger. But if there's a case to be made, it's him... Belichick even says Brown was the greatest ever.
  10. lol, you were saying if we can get someone in like a Clay Matthew to replace Lorax we'll be good at LB. And I was thinking, like AJ Klein? I made it the the Ravens game last year. Admittedly not a good game for Josh. But there was this guy in the stands behind me, every time Josh dropped back to through he had this panic attack scream like "nooooooo" like he was living in terror that he was going to make the wrong choice and throw a pick or something. I regret not telling him to stfu.
  11. that would suck. Belichick and McDaniels could bring the best out of him.
  12. I really enjoyed watching this. Stidham is a dink and dunker. His ball 20 yards downfield has Peterman pick potential. Average mobility. Collapses under pressure, fumble prone. If the Pats defense can hold teams to under 10 points each week they are going to win a lot of games next year.
  13. Let us know when one company leaves California due to needing a woman on the board.
  14. It's not 40 yards to the QB. And Epenesa looks pretty good at moving the 300 plus pound man between him and the QB out of the way.
  15. The other possibility is that Beane can say, look at how stupid those teams are. They totally screwed themselves right out of being title contenders. Do you want to get over paid and go to a team like that, or do you want to be like the Patriots and build a championship team. That may work with Tre and Dawkins. We shall see.
  16. I thought it was still the Kwame Cavil Award?
  17. I hope I am surprised. I think OL is the weakest link on the team right now, though they are vastly improved from a couple of years ago. Would love to see a monster OT come out of no where.
  18. I had a very similar anger rise up the moment the Bills lost. I walked to the sink, washed some dishes and it was gone. It turns out as men we don't know how to handle disappointment. Regret on the other hand is useful, it allows us to think through what we did wrong so we can change it and act differently in the future. But disappointment is different, because by definition there's nothing we could have controlled to make the outcome different. So if you think about it, there's nothing useful to hanging on to anger or ruminating about disappointment because there is nothing you can do about it... Also, you are not defined by the Bills. Your worth and value is not dependent on their success in any way. You have the same inherent value as a human being as anyone else, so there's no reason to question life or ruin vacations if your disappointed by the Bills.
  19. I think a healthy Williams is a vast improvement at RT. Not counting out Ford to take a big step forward, and also think he can be a solid RG starter.
  20. I think they're both trying to prove that to each other, and I think they are both going to fail miserably.
  21. I can see Beane having a plan to parlay Fromm into a 3rd round pick.
  22. Sounds like a prime practice squad candidate.
  23. Seems like he needs a year or two in an NFL conditioning program.
  24. At the same time, I think all of the B grades for the Bills must not have taken Diggs' value into account.
  25. He plays way more violently than I would have expected for a guy labeled as an undersized cb. He blew up Andre Dillion in this clip who has him outweighed by almost 70 lbs.
