In 1968, Richard Nixon lectured the American people on national television about the Unified States being the model of racial equality for 100 years.

The oldest camera store in Chicago was looted and burned down. Here's the 3rd generation owner being interviewed as the store his grandfather started burned: https://twitter.com/filming_chicago/status/1266953940064763905?s=20

I watched it, I think the girl recording is genuinely shocked that they tried to get into the truck. And then is horrified at seeing someone killed in front of her.
-
That's a big part of this too. Young kids full of piss and vinegar doing dumb ass ***** for kicks.

Chicago's on curfew now and the mayor is about to send the police to do mass arrests. Should be a long night.

I'm not accusing you of anything. As your attorney, I advise you rent a fast car with no top... and you'll need the cocaine... I did think it was relevant in a conversation about a pending civil war to note that one of the leaders of the white supremecist movement is saying that these protests and riots are a jewish media conspiracy to wage civil war against white people.
-
I don't know man. You think a civil war is a better idea than working to reconcile? Here's a different Duke's take on civil war today:
-
A different conclusion-- it would appear we're due for civil reconciliation.

There were four officers involved who were fired on Monday. So you're saying go f yourself. Got it.

There's no leaders of antifa, and no formal structure. So any moron can show up to public demonstrations clad in black and do whatever they want... I did hear a leading civil rights attorney, Lee Merritt, articulate two needs to address unjust killing of people at the hands of the police. One is federal legislation that revokes implied immunity so that officers need to have actual threats to administer lethal force. Under current law, officers only need the say they believed there was a threat to their lives to be found not guilty of wrong death. So objective guidelines in the use of lethal force is one rather than subjective standards. And two, they are pushing for comminity review boards of police conduct so that the community has the right to review the actions of officers who police them.

We can disagree about a lot of things, but we can agree that the feds should take down extremists of any political spectrum evoking violence and destruction in the street.
-
"When the looting starts, the shooting starts" is a direct quote from Segregationist mayors of the 1960's.

For sure, no one knows that he's a member of antifa any more than they know he is a white nationalist. It is a Rorschach test in a way. It's probably also true that the overwhelming majority of people can look at what happened to George Floyd and say that it was horrible and wrong, and also say the same thing about the looting and burning. The fact that most people can agree about the central issue, and be entirely divided on the cause and solution just says that the forces at work to divide us are really effective.

It's starting to look like the breaking of windows at the Auto Zone was organized as an excuse for the police to start tear gassing the protest. The man with the black umbrella smashed out the windows. "Free ***** for Everyone Zone" has been spray painted in the door before he started breaking the windows. He goes to the dumpster and probably throws out a can of spray paint. Within 30 secs of smashing the windows, and the moment he goes behind the building you hear the gas get fired into the crowd. By the time he gets down the street in this video, the crowd is dispersing due to the tear gas: https://www.trendsmap.com/twitter/tweet/1266343490465775622

And you can't imagine a rouge cop actually being a white nationalist? https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/fbi-white-supremacists-in-law-enforcement
-
Seriously? You mean you have an empirical study that shows there is no disproportionality, or that you haven't seen any evidence that there is?
-
I was referring to the specific video I posted. Did you watch it and see the person in question who actually busted out the windows of the Auto Zone? I didn't say neo-nazi or skin head. I said white nationalist. And I think there are probably multiple agent provocateurs involved in a lot of the escalation in Minneapolis.
-
I'd put my money on it being a white nationalist trying to stoke a race riot.
-
White guy shows up with mask and hammer at the site of the first Minneapolis protest and starts breaking out windows at the Autozone. Gets accosted by protesters for breaking the windows. The locals ask if he's as a cop.

Should absentee ballots be illegal?

Zing! Ba dum dum -
You really don't think there's pressure to stand with fellow officers even when they're wrong and have been numerous examples of people being ruined for testifying against fellow officers?
-
Why didn't the 3 officers who held George Floyd down stop the fourth officer from kneeling on his neck?

There's two very different kinds of harvesting. There's harvesting the ripe tomatoes in the backyard you took care to plant and water. And then there's back alley organ harvesting where you steal someone's kidney's for profit. Sounds like this guy just told the world he's about to steal some vital organs. He's stupid. -
The problem is that the police don't see it that way. Three additional officers assisted or watched this cold blooded murder in real time. They could have stopped it. They didn't. It is against the code to stop a fellow officer in the act of doling out punishment. And when cops do step in to stop a fellow officer from killing someone, their careers are ruined.
