I know Hope Rises very well. And I don't think there's anything sullying their reputation by saying they're a media and fundraising organization. That's what they do, produce inspirational stories and raise money for people in need. I'm not suggesting that Hope Rises has done anything wrong. And I hear you about AB. But the reason he posted what he did is because the mom said an angry Bills fan deliberately pushed her daughter down the stairs. Then the dad gave a somewhat different and muddled explanation. So we have worldwide media posting headlines that a violent Bills fan throws 8 year old cancer survivor down stadium stairs. And a family that may have seen an opportunity to draw attention to their GoFundMe because of their connection to a highly respected outlet that hosted them at the game. I'm guessing the truth is somewhere between a violent assault and 100% fabricated grift.

For sure could be. It's just the details being communicated has changed several times, combined with the fact that the family was at the game as guests of a media / fundraising organization... For me it goes to, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

But the point is the mom's initial post said they had to get the police involved. If they did, where's the police report of the assault?

And the specific details have been told is four different ways. First the mom, a Bills fan passed her and her husband then he pushed the daughter down the stairs in section 321. Then the dad, a guy pushed her out of her seat. Then again, he said the guy pushed her into a seat. Then the daughter said they were leaving and a guy pushed and she fell into a 49ers chair. Was she in the aisle or on the stairs? What's a 49ers chair? Someone brought their own chair and had it setup on the stairs or in the snow covered row of seats?

I remember when far more news outlets ran with the story about the MAGA kids surrounding the native American... And who could forget Jussie Smollett? Headlines don't provide evidence of truth. Evidence does.

And the story keeps changing. First it was she was pushed down the stairs. Then it was, she was pushed out of her seat. Then it was, she was pushed into a seat. I'd love someone to do a little fact checking to make sure she did in fact beat liver cancer, twice.

I don't have the data to know for sure, but it looked to me that the run d in particular was much better when Smoot was playing. Here's to him being healthy for the playoffs!

You can imagine anything you want. There are numerous websites running with the story of terrible Bills fans throwing a little girl with cancer down a flight of stairs, but no evidence is provided. You'd think people would have learned a thing or two about waiting for the facts before rushing to judgement. At this point, I think all of the video of this family's trips up and down the stairs should be released.

It looks like the family lives in the Rochester area. There was also a Go Fund Me active prior to going to the game with her daughter and making her daughter hold it up so she could put it on social media.

Kate Glaser runs Hope Rises, a successful "positive" media outlet and fundraising initiative. I hope the girl is ok, that no one pushed her on purpose and that this isn't a fundraising scheme.
