  1. I didnt read whole thread so pardon me if this has been discussed a bit. I'm not an authority at all or doctor, but it seems to me the first two of the concussions were four years ago. Then he went two full years without one. Then he had one, and now this is less than a year later. Surely a cause for concern. But the two years from the first two "likely" means something, versus having four within 2-3 years. I understand they are cumulative. I would bet that he has had some not registered. But one could also argue he has had two in four years. The real issue is, of course, it didnt seem to come from one huge nasty hit. That is the most worrisome of all.
  2. If it will set you off I hope it happens.
  3. He's a lock like the Welland Canal locks which are like the Kardashian girls netherregions.
  4. That's a good point. They should make Barkley the holder.
  5. That's not the issue though. He was a great college QB. He was drafted in the fourth round because his arm was not NFL quality. He played on Philly and Chicago. He showed flashes but he failed, badly, because his arm is a liability. It's his only real liability but it's a HUGE one. It''s not likely to get better. Against the Jets he made about six really good plays. None of them showed real arm strength, his death knell. A few of his floaters luckily fell into Bills Wrs hands when defenders just missed them. He could have easily had two INTs on the throws he made. In practice and preseason he can excel like Peterman because the game is at 3/4 speed. But his arm cannot cash checks his head will make, and in the regular season, it's much more likely to be the Philly or Chicago Barkely than the Bills 2018 Jets game Barkley. His experience can only help him so much. There has only been one guy in the last 20-30 years that succeeded over time with an arm like that. If he had Trent Edwards' arm he would be a solid starter in this league.
  6. Which the defense stopped.
  7. I'm not a big Kroft fan, and while I was glad they signed him because we desperately needed TE help, I don't think he is an above average starter. That said, the combination of Kroft, Knox, Sweeney and Smith as a blocker has a lot of potential, and way better than the Ryan Nuefeld Syndrome guys we have been playing there for twenty years. Hamstring. He will likely be back next week.
  8. He's no surprise, IMO. I always thought he would have little chance. He and Knox are redundant. It's possible they put Kroft on PUP and keep four, which would be Knox, Sweeney, Smith and I guess Croom. But he has little chance of making the team IMO.
  9. They scored no points. The first series was three and out.
  10. And both were two of the better backups we have had in 25 years.
  11. I hate to be a naysayer (not really) but Barkely is an average backup at best. He has played great since coming to the Bills but he would likely get murdered if he had to play a few games. Yes, he played great against the Jets, but he still has a rag arm that cannot consistently beat NFL defenses in the regular season. He's smart, and accurate, and a great teammate, and will help Josh, but 90% of Bills fans IMO are way, way, way wrong about him I fear.
  12. "The Bills are due in '72!"
  13. I was wondering how well he played defensively in rugby where it goes back and forth so fast. He has been using skills you need on PR and KR, too, his whole life. Not all of them of course. But he probably can tackle and shed blocks pretty decent already. He's stocky and his legs are super strong.
  14. i think Coleman is still going to be #3. Munnerlyn a decent chance of being cut. Johnson probably secured #4 S but he always was going to. I doubt Zay will be cut but he could be traded for a low pick. I'm hoping for it. Shaq has played very well IMO.
  15. watch the interview after the game. He says some of his teammates were ragging on him for not following his blocks downfield. He said I was just looking for open space like I always did playing rugby. I had no problems with the decisions he made. You know Tre White has called for a pitch behind him in practice once or twice.
  16. He only played a few snaps more because he is safe than he is in trouble. They still like him.
  17. The harder question is McKenzie. If they keep six, it's Cole, Brown, Foster, Zay, Roberts and one of McKenzie, Ray Ray and Duke. I think McKenzie has passed Ray Ray. But I want Duke to make it, too.
  18. I thought Shaq played well. No chance he is cut, he's had a good camp and games.
  19. I think House Money will be fine but it's not a lock. The Panthers backup K was insane. His leg was like Josh's arm. 57 yarder he didnt even look like he put most of his leg into it. He was killing the ball.
  20. Yep. He never played football, but more than half of RB skills in football are the same. He needs to learn pass blocking, and some of the following blocks stuff. But he's running exactly like he did playing rugby.
  21. The Shady TD was a ridiculous hole for a goal line right up the gut run. DImarco's was excellent and the Panthers gave up, but still.
  22. Zay is the only one they could get anything for, even if it is a 4th or 5th rounder. I'm not a Zay fan, so I would love to keep Brown, Beasley, Foster, Roberts, McKenzie and Duke. I very much doubt they do it but I'm not sold on Zay at all. I think the Josh Reed comparisons have some merit.
  23. One thing about Josh is that he doesn't have happy feet and bounce in the pocket when he is looking over his progressions. His feet look balance and planted most of the time. That is a pretty big difference and exactly what you want to see.
  24. On the first longer Sweeney pass he ran a fly pattern and cleared out the zone. Sweeney was wide open underneath. The play wasnt because of him but guys with speed like that cause defenses to react. They dont do that with Zay Jones.
