  1. My recollection is we had him for two games, he played about four minutes each, and then we sold him for a million dollars. We didn't even trade him. At the time, in his contract, John Y Brown could keep any money he made from trades. So he sold Malone and kept the money. He sold McAdoo for all intents and purposes (John Gianelli and cash), plus Jim MacMillan I think and maybe some others.
  2. You shouldn't be allowed to drive, or to drink, let alone drink and drive, until you see The Jerk.
  3. If you count Eli Harold, Beane traded him, Bodine, Teller, none of which were making the team, plus a 7th, into Ryan Bates, two 6ths and a 5th. Pretty damn decent.
  4. Yes. I do. Often. Which is less stupid an answer as your question.
  5. So players have to be "great in all 16 games" now to be worth their money? There are approximately zero players who are great in all 16 games including Aaron Donald and Brady and anyone else you can name. Keep digging a deeper hole, it's the one thing you are good at.
  6. Because it's okay to overpay for some guys. Yes. And he brings a lot of intangibles. And since when is 12 games a fraction of a season, unless you consider 3/4ths to be a fraction (and don't say "it's a fraction" and look stupid.
  7. Or they were 9-2 with him and 3-2 without.
  8. That is not in any way the definition of jackpot. He can play in 12 games this year and it could still be a good trade. He can play good instead of very good and not be worth the money they spent and still be a good trade. They DON'T need to hit the jackpot with him at all, he just needs to be pretty good.
  9. That wasn't the point. You said they needed to hit the jackpot with him and that is just not true.
  10. Not really. It's okay to overpay for some players. I would much rather pay a 20m player 30m than a 8m player 5m, especially OC for a young raw QB.
  11. Oh, and receivers to throw to and backs to hand off to and coaches to coach him and tight ends to look for and...
  12. Oh, he definitely is. That wind up costs him the same split second that kills weak armed QBs a lot of times.
  13. He was never this awful on UB. I really was surprised he looked so bad on throws when he had a lot of time.
  14. I think he is just going to retire and become an agent, and call it Anger Management.
  15. Perry was hurt.
  16. Haven't you ever seen The Jerk? It's the exact same thing; only not.
  17. McD really failed in the OL and QB coach decisions, as well as the Peterman debacle, and Beane in the early OL stopgaps. I think Johnson and Dorsey are going to make big differences, and all of the new OL FA should. Sure, we had crappy players. But they were further hampered by terrible coaching. There are a lot of players that just are not suited to playing more than one position. The Bills have looked for that versatility lately. The Bills probably just thought to themselves, "Bodine can't play C, I bet he can't play OG just as well!"
  18. 1. Chan Gailey was a very smart offensive coach. He was hoodwinked by Trent Edwards in the preseason and practice even with a known history. As soon as the real bullets started flying and it was evidenced that he couldn't handle a rush, Gailey didn't even bench him, he cut him.
  19. I don't know who he is, but I think he is worth over 28 billion.
  20. It was surprising that Daboll and Johnson had Bodine playing G last night, a position I don't believe that he has played in the NFL before. He's been strictly a C. That could have put Bellichick over the edge.
  21. A lot of people have two.
  22. Then they should have traded Bodine for a seventh and not a sixth! Beane is an idiot!
  23. On an out pass or deep out or deep in, Barkley is Peterman. He's just a little smarter, and he doesn't telegraph or panic as much. But he does have an 8 TD and 14 INT record, and it's because his arm is not NFL quality. If he even had Fitzy's arm he may be able to start in this league.
