  1. He's going to the Seahags
  2. He was not a "waiver" claim. The Bills released him but he was not put on waivers.
  3. I think we should turn Tommy Sweeney into a QB. The kid can do it all.
  4. Or the 31 other teams have not been lacking a big strong WR who can go up and catch 50-50 balls for the last 31 years in a row and already have such a thing.
  5. I think it was Vince Lombardi who once said, "We are going hard after players we don''t think are as good as others because maybe sometime in the future another team might have an injury and could want the better guy, so we don't want him. We are going hard after the crappier guy."
  6. Somehow, some way, a NY Jet 3rd round draft pick named Polite, accumulated over $100,000 in fines in freakin' training camp for tardiness and the like, which led to his release and not being claimed. He signed with the Seahawks PS I believe.
  7. You should know! And yes, you were. There are also all kinds of factors that go into whether or not players are kept on the original 53 as you well know. The Bills may have very much wanted to keep Duke but the fact they wanted the 10th OL outweighed it. If Andre Roberts was just a good returner and not the best in the league last year, they could have determined that other guys could return and kept Duke over him (and I know they have been using him with the 1s and 2s)
  8. Right away, too. They probably lobbied hard to get him to stay.
  9. Yep. There are all kinds of players around the league the scouts for both pro and college like and want to bring in but for various reasons havent been able to yet. If that guy becomes available they lob by hard for them I think he fumbled four punts.
  10. Rams 5, Pats 4, Bills and Ravens 3. That's it.
  11. McDermott and Beane have both publicly said that is not how they look at it. They count the PS as guys that on are the team just like the 53 and have to be ready to play immediately if called upon. And what if one of the Bills get injured, wouldn't you want a guy who is good and has shown he can play at this level already but is still young?
  12. Yeah, you cannot make a player sign with you, him and his agent have to agree with the contract. Even when players are poached off your PS to sign with other teams, that team just makes an offer, and the agent then tells your team and if you want to beat that offer with a better one, AND the player wants to stay with you and not the new team, you can sign him.
  13. I believe that teams cannot officially sign players to the PS until 2pm today. The reports are for players who have agreed to sign with teams. There were a couple instances last year where players agreed to sign, and before they did other teams swooped in and offered more money or a better chance and that player burned the team he agreed to sign with and went elsewhere.
  14. Only 36 total players were claimed.
  15. I thought you were going to say "Signed by the Raiders."
  16. A couple different local reporters say yes.
  17. They can't get up that early.
  18. I was thinking it is going to be more outsiders than people would think, like maybe six to four.
  19. They released Torrey Smith to keep McCloud.
  20. If you have four or more years in the league you do not have to.
  21. Very glad they kept McKenzie over him. That was a no brainer. But I think as of now I would prefer him on the PS over Easley, in case Beasley or McKenzie go down.
  22. If you claim him he must go to the 53.
  23. https://twitter.com/AlbertBreer/status/1168207325355806722?s=20 Dont know why that didnt show up but it says the Rams had 5 players claimed. The Pats four, and the Bills and Ravens three. No others had that many
