  1. You understand that one word can have more than one meaning, yes?
  2. Black guy to another black guy isn't saying that. Words have different meanings in different contexts. Cracker means very little. The guy who replaced Mike Rodak, Marcel Louis-Jacques is a good reporter and good follow on Twitter and speaks out about stuff like this. When someone just said something about the double-standard he said, " Brown shouldn't have said it. But show me the centuries of oppression and disregard for life that word brings to mind, and I'll be more sympathetic to your proposed double standard "
  3. It's simple. AB didn't say or imply or mean that Mayock is subhuman, or white people are not human. But that is what the history of the n-word is. It's an entirely different concept.
  4. No. All slurs are not remotely the same. You cannot offend or disrespect or demean a Norwegian anywhere near how much you can offend, disrespect or demean a black American.
  5. Yup. Cant is a terrible word. People should never ever say it.
  6. It's the equivalent of skinny-shaming a supermodel.
  7. That just shows that clearly prejudiced against fisters; admit it
  8. I always thought you should combine anal and orifice into just analfice. A little more compact power.
  9. If someone of any race called me a cracker I would find it hilarious. It carries no weight whatsoever. Well, maybe a cracker's worth
  10. Precisely the reason to play Foster over Zay.
  11. Yep. Then they decide which offer they want to take, and they can go back and forth to get the best deal. They're essentially free agents. Teams offer them any contract and agents try to get the them the best deal as well as opportunity to play.
  12. Spags is the Stephen Hawking of Jet fans. Glad to see youse back.
  13. We have the option of offering him a contract ourselves, for whatever we want. He can take it or leave it. We can't automatically keep him or have right of first refusal
  14. Slacker. You can't drink all day unless you start first thing in the morning.
  15. I don't think you do that unless he is not any less than Long. Only if we lose two tackles are we not covered and I imagine very few teams could dress seven and cover all those two player possibilities.
  16. Yeah, they could probably get away with just Ty and Long as backups especially with Ford able to play G and both Long and Feliciano able to play C.
  17. Barring late injuries, it will be relatively tough to predict the inactive list. Two OL, likely McDermott and Boettinger One safety, probably Johnson but maybe Marlowe. One TE, Kroft. After that it gets dicey. Maybe they dress only 5 LB, likely Mo Alexander. Foster or Isaiah may not be active, which would suck IMO. It's possible they dress only seven OL with Bates being able to play anywhere. Maybe they dress only three safeties with Neal being able to slide in a pinch.
  18. It's not surprising at all, as that is the way they have been running all preseason. If they come out with three WR then Zay is likely to be one of them, although it may be Foster. If they play two it will be Brown and Beasley.
  19. I know he is playing but is Ty completely healthy as of now?
  20. Interesting stuff. Thanks a lot for the time, effort and breakdown. Players sure do come from everywhere, and you really have to draft, re-sign, sign, and trade well to get a solid roster.
  21. I think fans way over-estimate how many players are signed by other teams off waivers on the eave of the season. There was 36 total this year (and one poster said it was similar last year). They have just spent the last couple weeks working 20 hour days trying to figure out their own guys and roster and position groups, and they are just not likely to sign a WR they don't know a lot about right away and right before the season.
