  1. IMO, hard to look at it that way. If you reverse it and say he was an A earlier and a C when they needed him it would be a way different POV. The fact he came up big when they needed him, and throughout the fourth quarter, is a big thing. I said this in another thread, but late in the game it was 2nd and 17, and I was thinking, I am not worried, we can easily get this. Before, 2nd and 17 we were all but done.
  2. 2017 he was tops in rushing and had 4.0. Second was Shady at 4.0 Third was Gordon at 3.9. Then 4.7, 4.1, 4.9, 3.9, 3.7, 4.1., 4.1, and 3.9, 3.7 He's exceptionally good.
  3. I thought the first fumble was on him for sure, regardless of the blocking. He tucked the ball but didnt really have it strong. it popped out pretty easily.
  4. Wasn't it 4-1? Not that it matters, but the last play was a turnover I think.
  5. I liked Singletary but I think Shady scores on two of Singletary's four runs. The first breakaway and the one near the goalline.
  6. What do you and fellow Jet fans think of Gase? I don't see the attraction.
  7. Totally! I don't understand the attraction of that guy at all. I think he's terrible. And I don't see him getting along with Williams after a bunch of games.
  8. A 'perfect pass" to me is a foot higher. It was in no way a bad pass. Beasley would say he has to make that catch 100 out of 100 tries. But he also could have had two other INTs. That one was not on him at all.
  9. Yep. The "plan" was to have Ford play two series, then Ty the next. lather, rinse, repeat.
  10. The rookie season of Josh was looked at way too much about what he did versus what he is/was surrounded with. If he had last year's line and WR we get killed today. If he had this year's line and WR last year he doesn't look so bad.
  11. I thought that they went for two earlier only because the kicker had the yips. The play was to kick the PAT.
  12. I remember once he was in coverage and he gave up a completion maybe 10 yards. But they had zero downfield pass game against us. The D was outstanding start to finish.
  13. I thought he played well, and the INT pick six was not his fault at all, regardless if it was not a perfect pass. But it's tough to say 64.8 with three drops when he had one or two INT drops as well.
  14. He's always like that, IMO, though. I think they were in position to stop him all game but couldn't. But I also didn't think that Darnold was going to beat us passing. So it was dumb for the Jets to not feature Bell more. He was the only one doing anything. A couple times it was third or fourth and short and they didnt even have him in the backfield as an option, which was ridiculous. We had everyone figured out but him.
  15. He's no good in the pass game. He had a ridiculous reputation for it because he caught like two passes in a playoff game, in a season he had about four catches the whole year. He's no threat. And the trade off is not worth it. I'm pretty sure, because of how quickly Allen changed the formation in the first two drives, that he was given a binary run/pass option on almost every play. The Jets were consistent and dared him to throw, so he called that option every time.
  16. As much the WR being an NFL caliber WR as the throw but I agree with you. Josh last year with who he was throwing to, with his line, should have an asterisk next to it
  17. They were moving the ball. But to me the Lee Smith and DiMarco grouping was dumb and should have been scrapped earlier, when it was glaringly apparent that the Jets were not falling for the run game. The result was the Bills passed every play, and two of the five guys were all but washouts. If we don't do that, and play Sweeney and Zay or Foster, we throw exactly the same amount but have more opportunities to make plays. Bell is really good and great at that. We missed a few but played him on the run pretty well. I thought the Jets were dumb not to use him a lot more.
  18. That is the way they call it a lot of the time.
  19. I couldn't believe the Jets didn't run and throw to him more. We couldn't really stop him. Possible he was on a pitch count.
  20. The safety was an awful call. He was clearly across the goal line.
  21. Glad you mentioned Milano. He was a stud and may turn into a Pro Bowl player. He's really improved. The first year he had a bunch of highlight plays but was rather pedestrian most of the time. Last year he was much better all around. Today he was a monster (sometimes it seemed that Bell was getting open but I think that was bad scheme stuff. I really like him now.
  22. Yup. Mosley did NOTHING on his TD. In fact, I was amazed that he didn't seem to react much at all until the ball popped up to him. He was pretty good but the Bills moved the ball a lot when he was in.
  23. Right in his hands. I am willing to bet that this is Beasley's worst game this season. He dropped a great Josh pass late, too.
  24. Darnold made a bunch of very nice little plays. But if i watched this game and had a choice of which one I wanted, I think I take Josh.
  25. There was a play in the fourth quarter where the Jet was clearly tackled out of bounds, and the officials called the tackle in bounds and allowed it to run as a 40 second play. But it should have been a tackle OB. They do it often.
