  1. We had no answer for their pressure. He made a bunch of bad throws but it's not at all like he had all day and kept missing guys. He was hurried and harried most every snap.
  2. That was not DiMarco's fault at all. I blame the coaches for not having Knox out there more than Smith. We needed playmakers badly.
  3. I know but we were discussing whether it was intentional or not.
  4. Yeah I was just discussing it as being an obvious penalty.
  5. We were 3-0 and it's uncertain if he came back if we would have been 4-0. That was kind of my point.
  6. Another point that seems to be missing in this discussion is regardless of intent, for two years now the NFL has been calling that penalty of helmet to helmet on quarterbacks behind and beyond the line virtually every time.
  7. Yeah but they were definitely limited by not having Singletary and Foster handcuffed us, too.
  8. Not to mention that Bellichick knows he is a slow left footed punter and loaded up. He probably would have got it off with a good snap but his slowness and slightly low snap combined with BB knowing him caused it.
  9. Yup. That's all on McDermott. Phil should not have been there in the first place let alone have that much sway. His first staff was weak.
  10. They are not going to talk to him for a minute and then let him challenge something that is illegal to challenge. That doesn't happen. It was stupid because they are not going to overturn it on a play like that because it's subjective and never going to have irrefutable proof. Really dumb. But they don't let you challenge things you cannot challenge.
  11. Yep. But part of it we need to attribute to Patriots. They have a great defense. The force or lull you into mistakes. Josh cannot do a few things he tried but it wasn't just hurting ourselves they forced all of those throws to some extent. I'm not excusing him on any. But they're very good.
  12. Yep. I blame that on Allen. But he's terrible tracking and fighting for the ball. He just let it happen.
  13. I see his value. But I think it's glaringly obvious that Knox needs to take a huge chunk of Smith's snaps. Especially in the second half.
  14. Yep. Fantastic game plan. We took away pass last year in a couple games and they ran all over us. Today we did everything well. The Pats were hurt and limited but the defense was extraordinary.
  15. I'm looking for an argument!
  16. Watching that clip above do you still think there is any question he was head hunting? You're easily one of the most level headed non-homer posters here.
  17. That's why he has a sure handed agent.
  18. It wasn't the whistle. And again, the refs tell you if you legally cannot challenge something. And also your point is why it was so stupid.
  19. Constantly. And then gets signed to huge contracts. It's kind of a remarkable trait. You have to hand it to him for that.
  20. I think the first few years of Josh's career you have to look at him differently than any other QB. He's going to make mistakes. He had a bad game today for sure. He made numerous mistakes. But stats are worthless when evaluating him. He needs to make plays and win games right now, not have no turnovers or QB ratings. I would have loved to see him in the game in the last four minutes.
  21. Which you can. It was stupid but it wasn't impossible to overturn. They very rarely overturn something like that. Terrible call. But within rules.
  22. Beane wasn't here yet when Zay was drafted. That was McDermott.
  23. I think the officials tell him. He didn't challenge anything by definition could not be overturned, but he made some bad choices. I don't think the call was to go to Jones, it turned out that way after the snap. But to me you do not throw it to him in that situation.
  24. Yeah, his reaction has nothing to do with head hunting or not imo.
