  1. Nonsense. Ferguson is a good snapper. A good snap it is not blocked. Why should we have lost? We played them straight up. We outgained them. It was an even game.
  2. I think he is a terrible kicker. I blame McD as well as Beane because I think there are a bunch of other punters better than him. He is a guy who either kills it or blows it. That is never a good idea for a punter. You want a consistent guy who can sometimes excel and does not get flustered. He is the opposite of that guy.
  3. I don't think that is true. Bojo was his punter. He watched him a lot. He released him just before the season last year which is why we signed him. He surely knew he does not get the ball off quick. And it seems so obvious but he is left footed so that is the side to double up. If he didn't know Bojo was slow I doubt he puts the press that he did. But the bad snap is what caused the block.
  4. But McD and Frazier's game plan and play calls from start to finish were spectacular. It's hard to stop the Dolphins for an entire game, especially when your offense is turning the ball over. I'm not even a huge McDermott fan, I think he is excellent in some ways and lacking in others. But we also have all new WRs, all new TE, all new OL, all new RB, and a raw QB who has less than 16 starts. I'm not completely sold on McDermott, and think he is pretty bad in in game decisions. But he did just play even up against the Patriots, even with Josh not having a good game. We had more yards. This was an even game. I would have liked to see Josh have four minutes left.
  5. And have yet to get out of it? just kidding. You're absolutely right. He could be cleared soon and he could miss the next few weeks.
  6. Never throw the ball deep to Zay Jones. I am not saying any of the interceptions were not Josh's fault. But throwing to Zay is not a good strategy. He does not track the ball. He does not fight for the ball. He is not fleet of foot. It's just not a good idea and they do it over and over.
  7. Mildred Finklestein. Naomi Himmelfarb.
  8. You don't think the defense out of McD against a good team was substantial?
  9. Yea he but it's only the last eight years in a row people have underestimated him. It would have been hard to predict he would have been as good as he was last year on the Dolphins who were awful. It would have been hard if not impossible to predict he would get 100 yards today against the Pats. Sure he has shut up everyone. Sure he is incredible and I'm thrilled to have him. But it's not as if this was obvious.
  10. Again, a good snap and it is no problem. Bojo is not a great punter. One of his limitations is he is very slow getting the punt off. Most punters catch the ball and get it off much quicker. The combination of bad snap, Bojo slow, and Bellichick knowing that he is slow and left footed and trying to take advantage is what caused it. A good snap which Ferguson does 90% of the time and it is not blocked.
  11. Yup. The first one was bad decision. The second was just a bad pass. And Zay does nothing to go after the ball. Don't throw deep to Zay.
  12. Yup. Both Edmunds and Milano negated one of the Pats' strengths and the way they abuse us and other teams. We shut the short passing game to the RB down. All while stopping the run. Usually the Pats exploit teams one way or the other.
  13. Pass blocking was awful. There were 3-4 plays Josh had enough time to throw it away but the replays often showed no one open. A lot of times the rush came quick. Not to excuse Allen, he didn't have a good day. But the Pats are good and our line was not.
  14. Guys have free rushes all the time from the outside. Part of the blame goes to the ST coach to some degree. I just don't blame DiMarco. He did what he is coached to. A good snap and it's not blocked IMO.
  15. There is no question he makes those mistakes. But he has 15 starts. And a huge portion of what he has done well is because he takes chances and he runs and he scrambles and he throws passes he has no business throwing or completing. It's all part of the package right now this early in his career. He's not like anyone else and he cannot be compared as such. His strengths are part of his weaknesses. It's only through experience that he is going to change the percentage.
  16. Which is stupid.
  17. I was just responding to the fact you seemed to be blaming DiMarco. What is he supposed to do? He has to take the inside guy who is closer. It was a bad snap and Bojo is slow. That's the reason it was blocked.
  18. He has two guys and went for the inside guy, which is what he is supposed to do.
  19. How can you say he led with his shoulder and use that pic? His helmet is clearly hitting Josh's, his shoulder is straight and not making contact.
  20. Wasn't he playing his best when he got hurt?
  21. In general I agree with that. On this play imo he was held up, another guy was tackling him, he was not the first hitter. He saw Josh held up and then and only then lowered his head and went helmet to helmet. And they do call that on WR and RB hits at times.
  22. Although he wastes timeouts other ways too
  23. The other angle above in this thread I thought showed he saw where Josh was and lowered his head on purpose. That was a bad angle imo.
