  1. I think he takes two steps forward and then jumps.
  2. I was thinking the same thing. But, if they think that Davis Webb knows the offense well enough and would be a better backup than a guy off the street, they don't have to activate him off the PS until friday or saturday.
  3. Barkely had a fumble and an INT in one quarter. That is eight in a game.
  4. Going for the TD was the loss.
  5. It was a spectacular one handed catch against his shoulder falling backwards after catching it over his head.
  6. You're saying he has never had a game winning drive once so you should clearly try to go for the game winning drive? Kicking an automatic FG obviously puts you within three points. Something he can do.
  7. My argument is that is exactly why you kick it. He's capable of a FG but not likely a TD.
  8. True. The funny thing is, of course, earlier in the game, after the play was over they decided to call an intentional grounding when it wasn't originally thrown. And then later, when it is a worse example, they don't call it.
  9. That, too. But Zay was well behind the defender when the ball was thrown. He cannot track it well enough to see it is going to be WAY short so he doesnt contend it. But if Josh throws it deeper it's likely a TD. People, including myself, had been saying Allen made these three terrible decisions or hero ball but it just isn't true. There were two of those. The second INT was just a bad pass to an open WR.
  10. If you want to get technical not one of them was into triple coverage. The other two, one was double coverage and one was single coverage. There were three guys close enough to the ball on the third one but it was not triple coverage, he just made a terrible decision and terrible throw that was not even an interception.
  11. The second INT wasn't even all that dumb of a decision, it was just a horrible pass, about 6-7 yards short. It's probably a TD if he throws a good pass, Zay was well behind the CB. That is, if he catches it of course.
  12. Jones wasnt even in the endzone when it hit his hands and was coming further out with a Patriot right on his back. He wasnt going to score even if he caught it. The one Josh threw into alleged triple coverage was not an INT as was finally shown. All three were bad passes but also leaping catches by the Patriots. He was playing fine in the second half.
  13. Like she would listen to him or he would listen to her or they would listen to any of the other ones.
  14. Like Brady is going to listen to him.
  15. Zay has gotten way better, he made a quantum leap from historically abysmal to just plain horrible and worthless.
  16. He didn't learn a thing that he would not have seen easily watching the tape.
  17. I just watched the game again and Barkley wasn’t any better than Allen. In a full quarter he got zero points. One drive was three and out with three straight bad passes to slightly open WR. He missed other open guys. He fumbled. He threw the INT. It’s possible the Brown pass to Yeldon is easier if the short toss back to Brown was accurate but he made Brown jump for it. His one good play was a spectacular catch by Brown.
  18. If you watch the replay it’s abundantly clear that Brady was staring him down and Hyde saw it all the way.
  19. How did they defend the Gronk hit on Tre? That's insane?
  20. I think he is a very good coach overall and I have been tough on him, but he doesn't value or use timeouts well, he doesn't choose challenges well ( which I don't usually blame on HC), which are very important qualities. It's not easy but he really needs to be better. We rarely have timeouts to use late in games. I thought the easy choice was take the points on fourth down today when Barkley is your QB and the defense is playing lights out but it's not a complete no brainer. I think it's easy but a lot of people I respect don't.
  21. I don't think that is fair. Kaepernick was in a completely different situation. Rodgers ddint paly for three years. Brady didn't play his first year and hardly threw downfield the first year or two he did play. I don't think people realize Allen is a different kind of player than we have seen. Stats are not going to tell the story. Sure he needs to cut down on mistakes but he is a playmaker and so far a winner.
  22. One they didn't call was brutal. Officials for 30 years have not been following the letter or the spirit of the penalty and let quarterbacks get away with throwing it away just to avoid a sack just because there was a receiver in the vicinity even though the QB was not at all trying to throw to him. There was one in in third quarter Brady threw away that was clearly IG and worse than the one they actually called on him earlier.
  23. He played bad. Show all the plays he had time and missed guys. There were a few. The line was awful. The receivers were not getting open. Josh was holding the ball too long and misfiring at times. He threw into double coverage which is inexcusable but it's also true ten receivers were not getting open all day. Not trying to be a homer, he was bad overall. But he was forcing things not missing wide open receivers.
  24. Blitzing him does not work. All stats show that. The Bills strategy and play today was extraordinary. You can't ever do everything.
