  1. 10 sacks for a DT is way different than for a DE. It just doesn’t happen as much.
  2. My reasoning is that we re-sign both Lawson and Phillips and then could probably lose Star because Phillips and Oliver will take most snaps and 6-8-10m won’t be worth it.
  3. That’s my question. I don’t think it can be legal. They just allowed it that play. It can’t be legal.
  4. Yes? No? I expect it will be 10 by season’s end. Will he ever do it again? I say no but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t re-sign him. We should depending on the money. He loves Buffalo. He’s going to demand more than he is worth. But we should sign him and likely release Star.
  5. No. Because players will be going to the sidelines after you knocked the wind out of them like Mike Tyson. You’ll be a hero.
  6. Amazing. Although it evens out when incredibly they didn’t call Dawkins for backpedaling a half second early on a play
  7. No, allowing the Steelers to do what they do best by bunching everyone up tight. Outside of the bomb to Brown all of the good plays we had all game were in the spread version and all of the crap was with DiMarco and Smith. Both TDs were in 11. The change held them back drastically. But if they allow you to just punch a ball carrier as hard as you want and that’s okay whether you get it or not why wouldn’t you do it every play?
  8. You’re absolutely right. IMO both Josh and Daboll if given the choice would have a much more wide open offense, take more chances, score more points, get better stats, make more turnovers and mistakes. But McDermott doesn’t let them. That doesn’t mean McD is wrong (although imo he is). It could very well be if your coach demands you’re a game manager until mid fourth quarter when you no longer can be. To me that’s what’s happening.
  9. IMO Kevin Johnson is slightly better overall. But they seem to have a plan to split their snaps for specific kinds of situations which seems reasonable to me.
  10. Hughes is the most underrated and misdiagnosed and misunderstood player on this defense and has been for years.
  11. How is that possibly legal? And if it were, why wouldn’t 350 pound defensive tackles just wind up and punch running backs as hard as they can in the breastplate or gut on every play trying to cause a fumble?
  12. Daboll is a mixed bag for me. There is a really lot to like and equal amount to question. I fear however that he is as hamstrung from doing what he really wants to do by McD as Josh is from him.
  13. Our tackling and as K-9 pointed out, fundamental tackling has been our biggest defensive problem all year, along with gap issues. Levi has missed some glaring ones but Micah and Poyer have missed just as many and we all love both of those guys.
  14. Frazier and McD seem to be trusting the players more in the last few weeks and blitzing more which imo has helped tremendously. Edmunds, Milano, Hyde, Poyer, Tre are all good blitzers. They sent a lot of the secondary on Sunday night.
  15. I don’t think there is any question that McD and Daboll hold Josh back from gaudier stats and think they can win most games scoring 17 points. There is a lot of evidence for it. Sure, his long ball has been atrocious and if he hit more he would have more yards and a few more TDs. But this is one of the most conservative philosophies (not play designs) in the league.
  16. Why exactly was it legal for TJ Watt to punch Josh in the gut trying to get a fumble?
  17. I think Houston is best matchup too because Bill OBrien does not scare me as a playoff coach. And while I have issues with McD and Daboll, you know what you’ll get with them. I’d say it was a toss up game, which is usually all you could expect as a wild card on the road against a division winner.
  18. Why would Fox carry an AFC game to begin with?
  19. I do love that the Bills fandom is getting this attention nationally. If I’m being honest, it’s embarrassing to me that people still talk about the Super Bowls 25 years ago. Of course you want that to happen. But it’s kind of pathetic.
  20. That wasn’t even a normal crowd because of the game on local TV. I should have had you meet me at the back bar. Maybe next time. Glad you went and enjoyed it.
  21. This is hilarious. Sorry if already posted. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bostonglobe.com/sports/patriots/2019/12/10/patriots-may-deserve-benefit-doubt-this-one/PGTvBxvnyKxoTi8epoOVcK/story.html%3foutputType=amp
  22. Considering that morality means principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior, I would say that it was inarguable.
  23. I am not saying he is not, but one of the reasons he was brought up and made active in the first place is that he was making several spectacular plays on long balls in practice, including against Tre White. I saw three of them. He wasnt wide open but he was coming down with the ball.
  24. Cash of course. In small, non-sequential bills, behind the second tree from the left. Come alone.
