  1. Undefeated since 4 am.
  2. Mickey Rat indicated he had a great relationship with Whaley, too, before he Ahab'd him.
  3. Exactly. Fans often see an injured player and think this dude is getting paid millions to sit on his ass! That player is thinking, I busted my fukking balls and brain for this team and look what happened to me, I can't even play and my leg is falling off. And now they don't want me or want to pay me when I get healthy?!
  4. Yep. In his first two years, playing hurt every game, missing several, on a running team that couldn't pass and sometimes outright refused to throw him the ball, he had 150 catches and 2000+ yards and 15 TDs. Bust written all over him.
  5. People don't seem to understand how good he is and what he is thought of around the league.
  6. How many guys are you going to pay 100m to? Some team will break the bank for him. Fitzgerald got 126m. Megatron got 113. And this was a few years ago. If you are just trying to sign him to an extension and not fight the entire league for him, he will likely come much cheaper.
  7. The contract he will get if he has a huge season will be 100m.
  8. I don't think he will either. When I say decent chance, I'm talking maybe 20-30%. Everything depends on this year. If he is healthy he is going to kill it. That remains to be seen. All reports so far is that he is right on schedule to be ready to go. That remains to be seen.
  9. Or just that NFL quarterback is the most important position in all of sports and generates a lot of discourse and disagreement.
  10. Well if they did the option the chances of him leaving after this year are about nil. Without it they are pretty decent.
  11. Except you cannot draft a player as good as him with the pick. Brilliant.
  12. He doesn't have to sign it. Although I expect him the have a great year, be franchised, and the team try to sign him to a huge extension. It's just a matter of whether he wants to stay in Buffalo after this. I'm hoping he does. Some team will pay through the roof for him.
  13. Well he red-shirted a year at Tennessee. Then played as a sophomore. Then two years at Pitt. So, right, 2+2=3.
  14. Nice job, Bills. This is really working out.
  15. I agree for the most part. But you play the game to win it all. And it's well known that he didn't have good control of his Giant team, and the players were in near revolt, he then let up on them and they responded and almost immediately won it all.
  16. I don't think Sammy has been 100% in a single game in his career. He was hurt in preseason his rookie year, on the first play IIRC, on a cheap shot from Shazier. I don't think he is soft, and he's played hurt a ton and played well, he's just had a string of injuries and bad luck. There was nothing in his college career at all that would lead anyone to believe he was soft or injury prone.
  17. There are a lot of ways to lead and win. Pete Carroll is a player's coach and buddy-buddy with his guys. He wins. Bellidick is a taskmaster and heartless with his guys and he wins. Andy Reid is kind of in the middle. Coughlin was a hardass, couldn't win, then got a little softer and chummier and his players responded and then they won.
  18. Some obvious Panther fan on twitter, who seems to know what he is talking about (yeah, i know, oxymoron...) was saying that Boston was one of the only guys that McD would call out, and doesn't necessarily like him that much. One line was pretty funny. After a game when apparently Boston was supposed to be helping out a CB that got burnt for a TD, McD said he expected "more population" around the ball. Ha. The dude said that is about as far as McD will go in public throwing someone under the bus.
  19. He liked it enough within a month or two to fire GM Tim Murray along with Bylsma on the Sabres. To me, that was clearly a result of liking McD's no nonsense, disciplined, take charge and accountability style.
  20. I agree with that for the most part. Cheers.
  21. It's possible. I would doubt it though. None of us have any real idea what health he is going to have, what kind of productive offense we are going to have, what kind of season we are going to have, what McD and Dennison are going to do to get the ball in Sammy's hands, what kind of numbers he is going to put up if healthy, etc. it's all a clean slate for one year. If they don't get him the ball like the last crew, then yes I think he'll want out as quick as he can. But they can't be that dumb, can they? See above, about what we don't know.
  22. Ummm... because you cannot win more than one game in the NFL with Zay Jones as your best receiver? Sammy is frustrated for sure, but I would bet anything more about not being able to play to his ability than anything the organization did to him. I'm sure he wants the ball more but most players like playing in Buffalo unless they are prima donnas. And he is not one.
