True story.

I remember that trade well. And I was thrilled with it. For one reason. Everyone who knew football knew that Bennett was going to be a star player and you win with star players. There were seven players involved in today's trade's, including three that will be picked in next year's draft. One of those seven is going to be a star player and that's Sammy Watkins. Unless of course, any of the three picks becomes a true star, and the chances of that are about 5%.

I know this wouldn't be easy, but if we were somehow able to take the high #2 and the #3 and somehow package them together to get a low #1, if we luck out, we could possibly draft a player one third as good as Sammy Watkins. So let's hope we can pull off that steal.

I love the unbridled excitement about the future draft picks we just picked up from a lot of the same people who complain every year about our draft picks.

To anyone who thinks the Bills docs knew something about Sammy's foot that they were worried about, Beane would have to be a Bellichick-grade scumbag if this were true, considering that he said he counted on the Eagles docs to assure him that Matthews' knee was sound.

No. Bad trades. Sammy is going to be a superstar. With two ones and a two next year we can get the franchise QB we want without the extra two if that's what they are doing. I wouldn't mind the Darby trade if we didn't do the Sammy one. I would have taken Matthews and a 3 for Darby.

That's absolutely true. You could make arguments either way for whether we got better on the field or worse. Except one of them would be a very good argument and one of them a very bad argument.

Especially with no deep threat and everyone playing eight in the box to take away the run. To me the only way this offense really works is if Zay Jones is able to play at a high quality as a small school rookie which rarely happens. You can pretty easily take away Boldin and Matthews. IF Zay becomes reliable early AND Clay is healthy AND TT has a good season AND the line plays well we should be pretty good. I wouldn't bet on it.

They have a pretty good defense. Goff didn't play well but you put Sammy and Woods and Austin with Gurley and a coach that seems to know how to run an offense and they may not suck.

No. People were talking about paying him after this season. Obviously if he gets hurt or sucks no one is going to want to pay him top dollar. We were talking about after he showed himself to be a star this season.

While that may be true, the ONLY thing that pretty much everyone can agree on is that TT throws a great deep ball. So it really doesn't matter if we don't have anyone to go deep. Oh, wait...

Odds are not that he will get hurt. I bet his surgeon thinks odds are unless something freaky happens unrelated, that he will play at 100%.

We have two first round and a second already. If the Bills get a true bonafide franchise QB next year the best move would have been to pair him up with a bona fide superstar WR.

Sammy is healthier than Matthews is right now.

So you're saying the Bills shouldn't pay superstar players what they are worth? That's a good strategy for winning.

Well now that J. Peterman is our starting quarterback he wouldn't be able to get the ball downfield to take advantage of Sammy so Matthews might be almost as good.

I'm just going to pretend that Sammy and Darby were driving to practice today and Brandon Beane was texting while driving, didn't see where he was going and forced Sammy and Darbys car off the road. They were both injured and hospitalized and will miss the entire season but will survive. The Rams had a fantastic prospect at WR who legally changed his name to Sammy Watkins. EJ Gaines and Jordan Matthews were just cut and the Bills picked them both up on waivers. And the NFL just changed its compensatory pick formula and awarded The Bills an extra two and a three, trying to make up for a few decades of screwing us over with the refs.

Watkins works very hard. I'm not sure about Darby either way.
