  1. I thought it was implicit. The point is the knock on him is arm strength. That's why he lasted to the fifth round. Otherwise, he would have gone way earlier, probably in the second. He has a lot of skills and intangibles and that was all well known. What he doesn't have is a strong arm. The determining factor on his career as a potential starter is if he has just enough arm strength, which he hasn't shown, or not quite enough arm strength which will all but ensure he won't be a capable starter. There have been so few in the last 20 years. When he was drafted, I liked him but wrote dozens of posts about he doesn't appear to have the arm strength to throw the deep out on a rope or 25 yards down the middle on a rope. Those are completions in college and interceptions in the NFL if you don't have the strength. The reason for my post was that he hasn't even attempted one in the four games let alone completed it. I have loved how he has played otherwise.
  2. I saw both. They were okay but not what I meant. Showing that he can throw a hard pass on a deep out. Neither of those passes showed that at all. Of course he can throw a 25 yard pass. He can throw it 50-55. But we have yet to see him make the hard throw and until he shows it. He's Kellen Moore.
  3. The knock on him is that he doesn't have the requisite arm strength for the NFL. I would have liked to have seen at least one pass in the four games that showed he can make the throws he will need to make. He had one nice long out to Zay in game two that was a great throw but I didn't think long enough to allay my worries. That's why he went in the fifth.
  4. You sounded like you were going to stop yourself, you didn't want any part of it.
  5. Peterman has looked very good and yet to show he can throw a 25 yard pass the whole preseason.
  6. Better not watch any of the season then.
  7. A couple of those stuffs he was tackled as soon as he got the ball. Not his fault at all.
  8. He's had about 6-7 good runs or catches in less than a game of play over four games.
  9. I thought it was a terrible spot but those are so tough to overturn. I knew he didn't make it and still there wasn't irrefutable evidence.
  10. We're going to have so much Wenning we'll be sick of Wenning.
  11. Great to see LT making grabs like that.
  12. Sweet. It's just the scrimmage bowl but it's nice to see a whole quarter where the offense, defense and special teams all played solid.
  13. Just Ola and now Worthy as far as I know.
  14. Nice toughness by Reilly on the KO. Didn't expect that.
  15. He showed flashes to me last year. But he surely looks quicker and more decisive. I think they knew he was pretty good when they didn't match Gillislee. I think we are set if not stacked at RB barring some injuries.
  16. I like Banyard, too. He runs hard. Not sure they are going to keep the third RB with Tolbert able to play.
  17. Gaines has looked good, too, every time he has been in.
  18. Yeah, that's what I saw. Nice drive by Peterman. He has looked good. Still hasn't shown the requisite arm strength but he has played very well all preseason. Glad we have him.
  19. Thank you. Not true. See Tom's response.
  20. But you can't do that in the United States. That's why he was accused of and convicted of not following federal rules on not being able to do that.
  21. But that is the law. You cannot do that. Because the law considers that racist. Regardless of whether or not there are more Hispanics. People arguing this back and forth also conflate the definition of the word racist. You are saying, mostly correctly IMO, that he is not saying !@#$ Hispanics because that would mean he thinks Hispanics are somewhat inferior to Whites. I happen to think he is that kind of racist, too, and you don't. That's a fair argument. But it is also the definition of racist and racism to simply see a Hispanic in a car and assume they may be an illegal. That is clearly "racist" and "racism" by definition but not the "I can't stand Mexicans" definition of racism. But it's still racist the same way that thinking Asian women are bad drivers. Which they, of course, are.
  22. Of course not. I was specifically and only referring to Phx and Arpaio. Otherwise the profiling hypothetical is on a case by case basis. Profiling often is racist and often it is not.
