I know there are a lot of peaks and valleys over a season, but an opening day victory over the Cheaters could really springboard the Chiefs. On the other hand, a blowout loss could help all the fans and reporters chirping for Mahomes early.
Is there an NFL rule against a team naming two starters in two different towns. Like could we name Peterman the starter in Buffalo and Taylor the starter in Orchard Park?
I think it depends on other positions as much as the RB position. Shady starts with JWill backup. Those are locks. DeMarco is probably a lock as is Tolbert. The only question in my mind is if they keep Banyard as the 5th RB. He deserves it but they may want to keep an extra WR or DB or whatever when they know Tolbert can be emergency RB3.
Dennison learned under Shanahan in Denver. I bet anything the offense we are going to see is going to be like Jake Plummer ran when he was good. A ton of rollouts and naked bootlegs as much as pocket passes.
I have been more of a wait and see on Peterman than most. He still hasn't really thrown downfield. But that's a perfect answer. The kid has a ton going for him. And there is a lot to like. People are going way overboard though. He's accurate short. Makes good quick decisions. Has good quick release. But that is only a quarter of the position. He has looked fair against a rush. Hasn't looked guys off. Hasn't gone downfield. Hasn't thrown a deep out. Has thrown a bunch of balls behind receivers. So far he's only Trent Edwards. But he's got a lot of balls and moxie for a rookie which is great.
I saw him a lot in college. He's one of the most fun players to watch. He can really wing it. Will be very interesting to see if coaches like Reid try to harness him or let him do what he does, like a Favre.
I'm talking freak of nature because few late round picks turn into stars, very few quarterbacks significantly increase their arm strength over their career. He doesn't have a strong arm but he can wing it now. He couldn't his first 2-3 years.
I was just messing with you. He's just not a good example because he is a freak of nature. 95% of sixth round QBs suck. 95% of weak armed QBs suck. 95% of lying cheaters suck.
Again, the only reason Peterman lasted into the fifth round was his suspect arm. That was a fantastic pass. But it didn't show that he can throw hard enough, no. Close, and it was impressive.
Did you know that he was drafted in the sixth round?
That was the pass that I mentioned earlier in the thread that almost showed it but didn't. That was a fabulous pass and great catch too. He threw it pretty hard but again just a little short of proof he can everything he needs to.
