  1. I thought that JWill would have got more yards on the exact same carries that Tolbert got. Once or maybe twice he takes it to the house with the huge hole to the left side. Tolbert was fine but he got gaping holes to run rough and his lack of speed and shiftiness is evidence. He's shifty for his body frame, but he's not shifty for an NFL RB.
  2. I didn't think he had total control of the ball at that point though. The coaching was conservative but fine. The team was prepared. They seemed to just assume the Jets couldn't beat them and played the game to not make mistakes and win, which they did. McD didn't have to make a lot, if any, tough decisions. I thought they could have won the game a little easier if they opened it up a little more.
  3. I like Tolbert. I think he is a good cog player that should be on the team. He should not be the second RB behind Shady though. I think Gillislee or JWill get more yards on those same carries. I think either Gillislee or JWill scores on that 15-18 yard run Tolbert had in the first half when no one was near him for 12 yards.
  4. Right. Because it makes no difference to Conor Kupp if he is the first, second, or third option. Are you this dumb? The Rams are doing anything they want. A big part of that is Watkins and Woods as their 1 and 2. You may remember them.
  5. Of course not. But there is not a serious football fan anywhere who thinks you can win consistently without a downfield passing game or threat.
  6. A WCO doesn't go downfield as much as some other schemed but it's essential to its success. In its original form both Rice and John Taylor got open deep on a regular basis. It's obvious to anyone if you have no deep game or deep threat teams can creep up in the box. We need speed. That's why we traded Seymour for Clay. But it was an obvious deficiency today
  7. Than what? Watkins has played one half of one game and has three catches.
  8. We had no down field game whatsoever and about five catches total from WR.
  9. So true. I can't believe fans think just because a guy gets hurt on a single play on a different field he would have done the same thing here. It's moronic. Even when a guy is brittle or injury prone it's not true.
  10. I thought he was fine. The whole game I thought we had a very conservative game plan on both sides of the ball. We just didn't want them to beat us. They couldn't run at all. We didn't get much of a rush but we didn't need it.
  11. I liked our whole defensive backfield overall. Micah and Poyer were good. Jets have no threat though. Zero.
  12. A lot of times two guys are at fault. On the Int in end zone I thought it was a bad pass but he needs to catch it. It's a TD. Both guys at fault.
  13. Yup. That's what I'm hoping. Overall the defense was very good. Obviously by 12 points and not much more than 200 yards and 2 turnovers. But Jets really suck
  14. I thought TT was fine. They didn't at all unleash him. If anything they kept the wraps on him. I'm hoping it was bydesign.
  15. Jets have no WR and limited QB. So by design it's possible we were allowing them the 5-8 yard pass over the middle. But it was very easy. The only thing they could do all game. It's impossible for us fans to know if that was our strategy. If it was it worked pretty well. If it wasn't it's scary it was so easy for them.
  16. That's what I'm hoping. They were very vanilla and conservative, especially second half. It's possible they knew they didn't have to open it up and were saving it. But I hope it's not a harbinger of things to come.
  17. About what I expected. Didn't like the play calling in second half. I think a good team beats us. We have a good rush game. We can't go down field. Mills sucks. I liked Hyde and Poyer and White and Gaines. Way too easy for Jets to pass over the middle. I do think JWill scores on one or two of the Tolbert runs when he had monster holes. They didn't take advantage of Tyrod as much as they could or should have. Terrific call and play design on the Holmes TD.
  18. you have your head so far up Darnold's ass you don't notice his running game? The guy has about 120 yards and averaging 11 yards a carry.
  19. Hate to say this, but Carr has some wheels.
  20. 3rd and goal from your own 7 yard line. The play lost 88 yards. Ha.
  21. Great, great throw there by Darnold.
  22. Nope. Had a lazy day. Watched the stream on Sabres.com. You're in Buff I hear.
  23. Let's try to stay away from these guys. https://twitter.com/hailstatefb/status/906706174652928001
