  1. Every coordinator ever tried to utilize speed and ability to go deep if he had the receiver and qb
  2. So he says WR did nothing and were non factor but TT was same old same old. Well perhaps if they did something he could too.
  3. You have to factor in his running TDs, too. It's a big part of his game. He had 6. Plus he missed a game. So that's 23 in 15 games. That's not great either. But it's not bad.
  4. There is no question that Tyrod doesn't like to take risks, and needs to throw with more anticipation at times. And this isn't directed at you, but I almost always think it is unfair for fans to criticize him or any quarterback by watching the game either live or on TV, even the all 22, and then say he had guys wide open all day and didn't make the throw without more information. You need to know the play call, maybe that was his fourth read so he wasn't even supposed to look at him, a lot of times the guy gets open BEFORE or AFTER the QB has made his look so he has already gone to his next read, or the receiver wasn't looking, often times the qb's sightline is way different and there's a defender in the path of the ball that the fan doesn't see which happens a lot, often times what looks wide open or just open from above is not nearly as open on the field depending on the angle, often times a QB will just take a five harder knowing it's a first down rather than going for the big play (I only mean down and distance can be a big decider on what pass is throw or look is given). I'm not talking about Tyrod here but everyone. You're an astute fan. We have talked a lot and I know you know your football. But I think even watching games at the stadium or the all 22, gives a distorted view as much as a bird's eye view when it comes to this particular question. Again, Tyrod is clearly not as good as the best quarterbacks in the league at locating receivers downfield. But I think it's almost impossible for any fan to know how many, if any, he really missed even if you're looking for that.
  5. A) that's not true. There are just as many Tyrod heretics. And 2) So what. That doesn't make it a great game. 300 yards sometimes is not a great game. One TD is almost never a "great" game. Not to mention that his team scored 19 points, which is not a great game.
  6. No it is not. At all. 284 yards on 37 passes is not great. At all. 1 TD is not great. It's not even average. That's 16 a season.
  7. Except that's not a "great" game for anyone, it's a below average game for Brees considering they don't run well or much, AND, Tyrod getting his stats in garbage time has been debunked here several times with real applicable stats.
  8. It's truly incredible how many people (nearly all of them not from Buffalo) will go so far out of their way just to ruin a simple thing.
  9. Funny, I find it intoxicating. I immediately feel an urgency to drink more, and faster.
  10. It just doesn't seem right to start a cooking thread, it has to just evolve organically from something cooking has less than zero to do with.
  11. Amazingly, Badol is a really good guy in person, and even more remarkable, only a know-three-quarters-of-it-all.
  12. Guhle is putting on a clinic. Just a terrific play and pass to Smith for the one timer. Can't wait until he is ready to play in the NHL. He probably is already but it may do him well to play a season in Rochester.
  13. I think the Bills would have to wait until three weeks after he is healed to sign him again. Anyone else can sign him whenever.
  14. Except he tackled himself or he would have scored.
  15. Which is precisely my point. He had Harbaugh as his coach, the second ranked defense in the league, plus Crabtree and Braylon Edwards and Vernon Davis in prime and Delanie Walker and Ted Ginn and Frank Gore.
  16. Almost looks like Shady is giving the Jet on the right a play action fake and he is literally falling for it.
  17. Yup. And huge win for McD and Beanie. On a different note, I would check that cat of yours for concussions. Doesn't appear to be sufficient protection.
  18. And yet surprisingly shrewd at stealing and banking money.
  19. And yet if you put Alex Smith on the Bills the last two years with the WRs injuries, and coaching and horrid defense, he doesn't play as well. Probably worse than TT. And if you put TT on the Chiefs the last couple years with the good coaching and great defense he probably plays a little better than he did on the Bills.
  20. It is time for my annual "No one ever holds a loaf of bread like a football player holds a football when he is 'holding it like a loaf of bread.'"
  21. That first throw to Matthews hardly anyone in the league makes. The escapability then standing upright, looking downfield, and throwing all arm on a dart to a well covered guy for a first down on (IIRC) third and long, was ridiculous. Few make that play. Maybe Russell Wilson or Rodgers.
  22. You use McG's yards per carry at 5.7 to say he was more productive than Shady. That's the first thing you say. But when Spiller averaged over 5 yards per carry, you often said he wasn't very good. You can't have it both ways when it comes to YPC stats. But you're trying to. I didn't compare Spiller and McG as runners. Only their YPC stats. And no, I didn't compare McG to Tolbert either. You're slipping, bud. I said JWill might have scored on one or two of those Tolbert runs, because he was the guy they just released to give Tolbert the backup carries to Shady. I think McG is very good. He just didn't outperform Shady. If anyone in the Bills front office thought for one second that he did they never would have tendered him or not matched the way they did. That is what is inarguable, not what you said was.
  23. There was one and only one I remember. Clay was tight and moved a yard closer to the left tackle and wasn't set and we got a five yard false start or motion penalty.
