  1. Anyone think we are fat at DT?
  2. It was my understanding that Whaley gave generic parameters and Overdork negotiated with the agents. Not known whose idea was ultimately not putting a moron clause in there, which was the real criminal act, but I would imagine that was Overdork, too. One could easily argue, however, that Jerry Hughes lessening of production those two years were a direct result of the Rex Factor, not putting him in the best situation to utilize strengths, as well as a couple cornerbacks, as well as Preston Brown, so there is a very good argument that Dareus suffered from Rexatosis, too, especially considering what he does exceptionally well (4-3 gap) and what he is overqualified for (3-4 nose).
  3. Time of release may be the stupidest stat in any sport without context. Grossly affected by play calling, line play, scrambling ability, teammates abilities, etc.
  4. That was a particularly horrible sequence of questions by the media. They asked the same question 14 times in a row.
  5. Where have we ever heard that before? Otherwise known as "trust the processed cheese."
  6. Yup. That quote was totally Anorexic.
  7. Cocky v. Smug. Minor but noticeable difference. I would say that smug is slightly more annoying.
  8. Watched a few episodes yesterday. While I really like Idris, as well as Ruth Wilson from The Affair, it's pretty basic network quality stuff for me, which isn't normally my taste. It's watchable for sure though, and he's really good in anything.
  9. These are great as usual. Thanks, again. I think that gif of the goalline play to Clay again shows that he should have caught the ball, hits him in two hands, in addition to being a late throw and behind him. But he has to catch that. I would expect Nick O'Leary to catch that. One thing that came to mind though as I read the post was that there probably was a good chance that TT waited so long because the play before the ball was batted down at the line. If you look close, the Jets DE is in his eyeline when waiting for Clay to get open. If he throws early as everyone wanted him to, including me, it could be batted down again. So he waits the extra beat, the DE is taken a little wider by Glenn, and then TT throws. That could be it in a nutshell, rather than he holds it way too long like he often does. Still not a good pass and still needs to be caught anyway.
  10. Just pitchfork over the $99 for the season and have at it. You must spend that much a week on manure and women over 60.
  11. One of the most fun games I ever witnessed in person. The 49ers fans were extremely smug in those days.
  12. Edibles. Kill two birds!
  13. I don't. No. But I do worry that our defensive backfield has an eating disorder.
  14. If he would promise to be Marcel's Life Coach, sure, why not?
  15. I will look at it. To me, and I have seen it about eight times, it was both a kinda bad pass and a dropped ball. There is no question he could have made a better pass. And high and behind are extra hard to make. But to me there is also no question that your big dollar TE has to make that touchdown catch when it hits his hands like that. Both things can be true. I don't think you can use a play like that as an example of "missing open receivers" when the play is clearly there to be had, he looks at Clay all the way, he's open for a touchdown and it should have been a touchdown. You can blame him for not throwing a good pass, sure. But IMO you can't say that he missed a way open guy in Zay Jones. Btw, where is that link to the pass. I can't find it. Edit. Found it. Doesn't change my opinion of it. Not great pass. Still should have been caught.
  16. I'd like any of you guys to point out all the plays that TT missed receivers that were open he should have seen and hit. Seriously. Maybe there were a lot in the second half but I just watched the whole first half in the all 22 and looked just for that and there might have been one, on the last play of the half for the Bills, and it wouldn't have made much difference. And he wasn't wide open. There was a play where he stared down Matthews way too long and then looked off him and went to the second guy and only THEN did Matthews become open. But there is no way any QB could, would or should have waited. He waited too long as it was. There was a play where a guy in the left was mostly uncovered but it was a three step drop with a four yard out to the right. Again, no reason any quarterback anywhere could be accused of missing. Arguably, on TTs best play of the game, one could say there was another guy open that he missed, but that was the play TT eluded the rush, amazingly looked downfield and then threw a dart off balance for a third and long first down over the middle to Matthews. So I find it hard to fault him for a great pass and first down. There was a play where no one was open at all forever, he was flushed out of the pocket and then halfway across the field a guy became open but there is zero way to fault any QB. He would have been benched on the spot for throwing all the way across the field against the flow. Not a chance and he didn't become open from forever. Please let me know of one play in the first half where TT legitimately missed a guy who was open and he should have seen and hit. Even the one play I am saying he might have missed was debatable. I kept waiting to see these plays and they never came. Zay Jones got zero separation the entire half. Matthews got very very little.
  17. I'm thinking because they scorched us on the Kelvin Sheppard trade they are banking on lightning striking twice.
  18. True. But we need him at safety. I'll be shocked if there isn't another move on cb by game day. Probably one of the PS guys.
  19. We have the technology. And robot girlfriends.
  20. Maybe I'm forgetting someone but doesn't that leave us with only four CBs, one of whom is hurt? White, Johnson, Gaines, Shareece. Who am I missing? I even just looked at Bills roster on their webpage
  21. I used to really like Stephen Hill. And then I saw him play.
  22. I just don't believe that I guess. With Schwartz's defense and either of the last two year's offenses, I think we make the playoffs. Another thing people don't realize about TT's stats are just how bad the defense was the last couple years. We rarely had good field position. They rarely came up big and changed momentum. We always had to go the length of the field.
  23. Tyrod is not an elite QB or what is normally called a franchise QB. That's obvious. But people seem to want him to take more chances which will yield more yards and scores, and almost assuredly lead to more turnovers. It's like they want the benefit but not the downside. I want him to play a little better, too. I think he leaves plays on the field. I think a lot of his completions arent good passes so the receiver doesnt get as many YAC that he could or should. I think he doesn't go through all of his progressions at times, and he won't throw to a guy that is covered. But his receivers for the most part have been very pedestrian, except when Sammy was healthy, which was about never. He doesn't get nearly enough credit for not turning the ball over, which is clearly what the coaches have wanted him to do since he became a starter. You can get more scores. But you will get more INTs. It may not be worth it considering we already score enough. We could score more, sure, that would be great. But scoring what we do AND not turning the ball over doesnt get nearly enough credit here.
