  1. Because they haven't tried it more than twice in two games? So the coaches and QB agree?
  2. No one said there was no one to run routes. No one. We all meant or said there is no threat to catch deep passes with any consistency, so teams will load the box with eight or nine defenders.
  3. TJ Graham ran a lot of deep routes, too, he just didn't catch any. It was a bare tree.
  4. To be fair, I was thinking that MajBobby meant that Holmes was a deep threat except for the entirety of Holmes' career.
  5. Because in another two years Zay will be better, and in another universe Holmes is better, and in another sport, Clay is better.
  6. Except that Brady's best attribute is his laser sharp accuracy leading receivers on short throws and not his deep ball; hence the decade of slot guys who killed other teams. Tyrod's best attribute IS his deep ball and they took those guys away.
  7. The problem was not the catch.
  8. Except the Bills players and coaches and broadcasters are saying the complete opposite. But carry on.
  9. As Alaska Darin once said, the only reason most people are alive is because it's illegal to kill them.
  10. Read the first post I made, that you quoted. I said field position hurts an offense. "That's all." I actually typed out "That's all." I didn't even reference the Bills. I just said it as an inarguable fact. I didn't blame the defense once for it. Although I did say that a few smart football fans SURMISED that MAYBE SOME conservative coaching and playcalling was due to our defense being on the field in the heat all day. That is not blaming the defense either. The defense was fantastic. The offense was atrocious.
  11. I haven't read the thread yet, but will soon... not sure if this has been put in somewhere, just thought it was a nice gesture by the Bills... https://twitter.com/mikerodak/status/909818874933202944
  12. Saint Douche finally got his man! The Jags signed Ryan Nassib.
  13. I never ever said anything resembling that. Cut it out.
  14. The thread is sneakily a brilliant exercise and peak into some of the most burning unanswered questions in history. Like, what is the sound of one McDermott hand clapping? If McDermott claps at the florist but no one is there to hear him, does it still piss you off?
  15. I'll agree with that completely. Our offense was atrocious the entire game. No one played well. No one coached well. And ESPN did make a small mistake. But the play you linked showed clearly we started at the 21 not 33.
  16. I'm not arguing that at all and never said a thing about it.
  17. Closer to 18. Thanks for proving my point. You realize how dumb that is, right? The Bills started at the 21 and threw a 12 yard pass to the 33. The drive started at the 21.
  18. You may not be dumb for not figuring that out but you're dumb for giving such a dumb answer and not addressing either point.
  19. According to this there was not one on the 33. We had one drive we didn't start outside of the 25, which is the touchback definition of length of the field. Bills Drives Glossary # Quarter Time LOS Plays Length Yds Result 1 1 08:49 BUF 25 3 1:06 9 Punt 2 1 02:25 BUF 10 3 2:01 7 Punt 3 2 12:01 BUF 2 6 3:08 10 Punt 4 2 02:02 BUF 25 3 0:32 -4 Punt 5 2 00:06 BUF 21 1 0:06 -2 End of Half 6 3 15:00 BUF 25 6 2:27 30 Downs 7 3 10:35 BUF 21 4 2:13 7 Punt 8 3 06:13 BUF 14 6 2:50 23 Punt 9 3 00:27 BUF 43 9 4:18 30 Field Goal 10 4 02:35 BUF 25 11 2:26 42 Downs
  20. Those are two different arguments and points. All I'm saying is PART of the Bills atrocious offense problem yesterday was because of poor field position starters. Also, myself and a couple highly intelligent football fans I watch the games with all agreed that PART of Dennison/McDermott overly conservative playcalling was due to giving the defense a breather because they were on the field so long in the extreme heat. So in that respect, the long drives did hinder the offense to some degree. These things are often interrelated to coaches but not to some fans.
  21. I don't agree with the OPs point. I was just saying that it's inarguable the terrible field position the Bills started from, which I posted each drive start above, will hinder an offense from what they do and try to do. I'm not agreeing. No. It's absurd. But again the crappy field position the Bills started with yesterday had a direct negative affect on what the offense could and did do.
  22. The Bills started drives from the 25-10-2-25-21-25-21-14-43-25.
  23. I think that it's inarguable a team, any team, is hampered substantially when having to start so deep in their own territory so often on the road. That's all.
  24. Oh, this is real all right. I had a girlfriend once who had "the clap" as she affectionately called it. I just thought she liked me a lot.
  25. No. It would have been a win and a 2-0 start. McD and Dennison coached ultra conservatively, trying to steal a win against a tough opponent on the road. That was one of the reasons the offense didn't excite. They had the play that would win it and we didn't execute. However horrid that phrase is to hear these days as a Bills fan, it's exactly what happened.
