I don't understand this line of reasoning. The team would have this entire year to learn if Sammy was truly always injured or just a victim of bad luck. Even the most ardent Sammy fan like myself, IF he gets hurt and misses a good amount of time this year, would not advocate signing him to a huge salary. But if he's proved this year to stay healthy and was the player we know he can be, then and only then do you sign or franchise him. Saying we don't know if he's can stay healthy is ridiculous. No we haven't. All I ever said was that marching with people carrying torches at rallies like that means something. So I am asking you what it means to you. Actually Melanie did come here illegally, but it was so minor that I don't think anyone should make a big deal out of it. To be perfectly correct, she came here legally but then worked briefly before she was legally allowed to, and then soon thereafter got the correct papers. But it was a common practice back then and wasn't the kind of illegal immigration most people are against.

Marching with torches means something specific. It's march madness.

I already explained the difference clearly. If you look at a white southerner carrying a torch at a white supremacist gathering you know what that means. It's like you know what two plus two means. If you see a black guy carrying a torch at a white supremacist meeting you don't know what that means. You don't say two plus two is four, you say WTF IS THAT ALL ABOUT?! and probably run for the hills. Yes it would be completely different. If you saw video of a bunch of white guys marching with bowls of jello you would think they were marching in favor of Bill Cosby.
