  1. One thing about this game was that the Broncos were very Billsy. Siemens two interceptions were just awful decisions and passes. The fake punt attempt was atrocious call. The "psyche" penalty on your best player was just completely unnecessary. They didn't make plays when they had to.
  2. Then he's lucky he didn't waste more than 15 seconds. Other than that I thought he coached a very good game. For only his third game ever as a head coach he really has his team ready. They don't make a lot of dumb mistakes. Both offense and defense gets their calls in quick. The special teams for the most part have been good except for the returns. McDermott deserves a lot of credit. Frazier, too. Jury is still out on Dennison.
  3. Well he should have called it immediately anyway. We had three timeouts. They had second or third and long. It was close enough, like the 15, so they couldn't get more than one first down (meaning if they picked it up we weren't giving them extra time to score they would need.
  4. I think it's the initials. Name one EJ to have ever played for the Bills who wasn't a suprisingly good player we could all rally around?
  5. McD wasted 15 seconds before calling timeout when the Broncos had the ball and we would have had a minute instead of 46 seconds. But that was a terrific 46 second drive for a FG.
  6. Both those guys have great feet and react fast and close on the ball fast.
  7. Either Banyard or Taiwan Jones should be getting half the carries that Tonka Toy is getting. Actually it should be Jonathan Williams.
  8. Right off the bat Von Miller beat him bad on the first drive and then did nothing much the rest of the game. Didn't do much in the run game. I thought the switch to letting Tyrod roll out and do naked bootlegs to the left caused the Broncos to not be able to just tee off on the QB and rush hard.
  9. Neither. He's dropping balls that hit both hands. Had two drops today. One should have been a TD and we were lucky it bounced to Holmes for the TD.
  10. Tolbert should not be given the plays and carries. It's just stupid. I'm glad he's on the team. He serves a purpose. But he shouldn't be the #2 back. It's bad coaching and personnel decisions.
  11. Leonard Johnson made one tremendous defensive play, too.
  12. Beane didn't draft White or sign Poyer or sign Hyde. McD was there for them.
  13. Mounds didn't play his first year because Marv hated rookies still and really wouldn't play them out of principle. It was just stubborn and stupid. He was more ready to play than people remember. And then when he played he was immediately pretty good. Maybe it was because of year three but the main reason he didn't play early was just a policy by Marv.
  14. Yup. Agreed. I think he will be fine.
  15. Maybe. But his problem has been catching the ball right in his hands. More than getting open. He was open a lot today.
  16. With five minutes to go in the third quarter, and I think we were up by four at the time, me and my guys I watch the games with we're saying the next twenty minutes will tell us a lot about this team. We all weren't that confident but they had played well up until that point. And then they ratcheted it up and played pretty well the rest of the game. Before the season, thinking of games against the Jets, Panthers and Broncos, no one could have realistically hoped for more than 2-1 and 2-0 in the division. Next week is a tough one.
  17. I'm confident he will get in a groove soon. But he had two bad drops today. He has to catch that slant in the endzone. That's an easy TD and we were very fortunate with the bounce. I expected him to have a good game after last week's ending and he was worse. But I do think he will get comfortable and then become reliable.
  18. It's pretty amazing. Two TDs total. No long passes. Run defense has been good for three games. Linebackers have been surprisingly good. Both safeties have been excellent. Really well coached. They are ready before the snap. The ONE thing they haven't done well is letting some WR get open a little too easily but it hasn't hurt them.
  19. A couple years in his career he was but not in those good Denver years as I recall. The 2005 year they were 13-3, he was efficient, they were like 7th in scoring and 5th in offense.
  20. Yep. He blew a couple coverages and he got beat on and out an up but he's very impressive. I don't think we have given up a long pass all season.
  21. I thought Alexander had a really nice game for guys not being mentioned. All the linebackers had their moments. clay had a nice game. Single nice efforts made by O'Leary and Aldophus Washington and Holmes and a couple nice plays by Matthews.
  22. I thought he missed a couple and made a couple very good ones. For a rookie he's been terrific.
  23. The difference in the game was Seimien made two just horrible decisions and passes for turnovers and Tyrod made none. Fans who don't like him don't give him enough credit for not turning the ball over. They want his conservative nature not turning it over and went his extraordinary running, but don't give him credit for it compared to other quarterbacks.
  24. Both Gaines and Tre White had tremendous games. Both of them have really quick reaction time and good feet. The entire defensive backfield has been tremendous. The Sammy trade can still be a crappy trade and you can like Gaines. I hated the trade and still do but have liked Gaines since his first preseason game and said so. He's been very good.
  25. This is exactly what I was hoping for before the season started and they started to do it after the first two series and it finally allowed Tyrod to do what he does well. The reverse bootlegs and rollouts also made the pocket later in the game easier to block because the rushers couldn't just tee off. I have no idea why Dennison didn't do it for two and a quarter games but it's obvious that is the kind of offense they should run. Plummer wasn't a great QB either but he was effective with a lot of roll outs and bootlegs. It played to his strengths. And it keeps the defense off balance. Dennison was the OL coach when it worked the best and then became the OC the next year under Shanahan and Kubiak.
