Emergency Team Meeting - Regarding Trump comments?
Kelly the Dog replied to boater's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You really act like you think the whole concept is completely made up. Like there is no racism in this country or in the way minorities are treated by the law enforcement and justice system. -
Now. For sure. What's your point?

True. I have been yelling for it all year. And still, the most effective playaction has been historically following a few successful runs.

Prove it. I can prove jmc12290 is stupid about 2799 times. -
The funny thing is we couldn't run for schit so the playaction shouldn't have been so effective.

Nope. Each case is its own entity. Steve Kerr has always been very involved in politics. He has a unique experience and is a thinking man's type. He shouldn't be lumped into the asssinine "oh, he's just another dumb jock and he should keep his mouth shut" azzholiness that has pervaded this board and the national conversation lately. -
Who was the best player.

Kyle, Hughes and Alexander all had very good games to me. -
I think his grandmother discovered the Arnold Palmer drink. He's turning into a pretty valuable player.

Which is most fair and right?

Why would I think of white straight males as a threat? I don't think of any straight white male as a threat. Some are fukkheads. But they are not a threat in any way to me. I know whiny liberals and even some whiny conservatives think it is politically incorrect to use the word "retarded" but are you retarded? -
Good point. It could very well have been Hannah Montana.

A Few Thoughs about the Broncos Game
Kelly the Dog replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They signed him to a $500,000 contract. As much or likely more as he would have made on the Bills. They already have Anderson and Jamal Charles, and a third guy I didn't bother to look up who has been with them the entire preseason they were keeping anyway. I do think they will bring him up or someone will sign him in the next month. I wish we kept him. Tolbert is extremely mediocre. -
I like this team a lot and like the team they are building. I have no problem with Beane so far outside of any fan would have made a few different moves, for better or worse. For instance I surely would have kept Jonathan Williams for the #2 RB carries over Tonka Toy Tolbert. But again everyone would have little quibbles like that. I very much like how McD has coached three games, the first three games he has ever been a HC. And again there are personal minor quibbles like everyone of you would have but I think he has done a very good job overall. The problem is this is a half tank. We are better than people predicted but that means we win 8-9 games. We get the middle 15 draft pick again. We have no chance at the two big guys, Darnold and Rosen, unless something crazy happens. Tyrod, having Watkins (and because of Watkins Boldin) taken away from him, IMO, is going to make matters worse. I think he's better than a lot of people give him credit for, as evidenced today, and he is going to play well without WR but not well enough to build a franchise around. So we are going to win games like this and be a 8-8 or 9-7 team and not get a high pick, but more like 15, and KC is going to give us pick 25, and there will be five teams above us who need a QB and we will have to bet our next 3-4-5 years on the third or fourth rated QB when all of them are 50-50 hit or miss. I just don't understand the half tank.

A Few Thoughs about the Broncos Game
Kelly the Dog replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that's exactly right. And it very well could be the reason beanie and Cecil succeed or fail, they want a certain kind of guy. I understand that. But they are willing to take a lesser talent for that kind of guy. Sacrificing meritocracy for merit badges. It could work. But I can't ever think of a team in any sport ever that did that and won. I hope it works. I have my doubts. But I do love some of the results so far. I believe, however, in every sport in every season the team that wins has two or more star players. They got rid of one of our two. I'm not even sure Shady fits their model they just know they can't get rid of him like they can't get rid of Dareus. -
He meant Tony Montana.

No. The point is to learn something about him. He's not a malcontent. He's not a thug. He thought and talked about this for a year before he did it. He's an extremely smart guy. You may totally disagree with him and that would be cool if you spent any amount of real time researching from legitimate sources what he actually is doing and why he did it. He's a very smart guy. Saying he's a simpleton is just embarrassing. And again, I'm a liberal and I don't think he ever should have done it. I'm not in favor. I don't think it's the right place. And I agree with what he is saying because I know where he is coming from. I hate all the liberal leaders. I hate when actors spout any politics at the Emmys or Oscars no matter whether I agree with them or not. I have voted for republicans. I'm not just someone who thinks this is the right thing to say or platform. But if you say Colin Kaepernick is a simpleton you couldn't be more wrong. He was a great student. He got a 38 on the wonderlic. He's not a gangsta or malcontent. -

Totally agree. I didn't think the Broncos were nearly as good as people were saying. BUT, if this was in Denver I think the Broncos win by ten and not us. They are different team on the road. It's hard to travel across country. I think the heat and humidity hurt them the same way the light air and altitude hurts visiting teams to Denver. Next week is a whole bother ballgame. This game I thought we had at least a 50-50 chance to win. Next week not so much. Possible but more like 25%. -

By saying Kaepernick is a simpleton you have shown you know nothing about this. Zero. And you embarrass yourself further by saying you don't even care what he says. And I'm not even in favor of him. I think he's wrong. You're just an ass because you refuse to try to understand why people think different. Which, again, is the purpose of the poll. -
I agree with all of that. Except for first sentence. And I have been criticizing the decision on Williams and Tolbert at each stage. Tolbert is not good as a #2. He's just not. Even the good plays. I'm glad he's on the team. He serves a purpose. But he should not be getting the bulk of the number two carries. We lose yards. I think Banyard and Taiwan Jones would both have more yards if given the exact same carries and holes as Tolbert, let alone JWill who is better than them, and Gillislee who is another mistake and better than JWill.
